Wind your way down the gravel road, through the woods to the cozy cottage in the clearing. Take an afternoon hike along the poem trail at Prince Gallitzin State Park, a dip in Glendale Lake, then, come back to the cottage to roast marshmallows over a campfire and look at the stars.
Snuggle up by the gas fireplace, play a game of checkers, or watch movies in the comfy living room. Blackberry Cottage has a full kitchen with a microwave, crock-pot, and even a smore maker to bring the campfire inside. The romantic upstairs bedroom has skylights and a canopy over the queen sized bed. The bed is luxuriously appointed with a featherbed, and a down duvet. The downstairs bedroom has a quaint country feel complete with a full size bed and a day bed with trundle.
Nature abounds around the cottage with wild turkeys, deer, and other woodland animals. Wild blackberries, raspberries, and an apple tree surround the property. A tire swing for the kids, a picnic table, and a campfire ring are available for your outdoor enjoyment. You and your dog will love to roam this wooded paradise.
Blackberry Cottage is approximately 5 miles from Prince Gallitzin State Park and Glendale Lake where guests can take advantage of boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and sledding. We are 10 miles from Del Grosso’s old fashioned amusement park and Water Works. Blackberry Cottage is 40 minutes from Blue Knob Ski Resort with skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. We are 30 minutes from Altoona where you can find fine dining, the minor league baseball team the Altoona Curve, and Lakemont Park. Many museums are in the area including the famous Horseshoe Curve. Blackberry Cottage is 45 minutes from State College and two hours outside of Pittsburgh.

Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time at Blackberry Cottage! It was so peaceful and relaxing. When we were pulling in the driveway on Thurs. afternoon there was a BIG buck standing there, a little further down was a flock of turkeys! Then on Saturday we saw another big buck with a doe! We had a very enjoyable time! Thank you so much! Alicia
