The Moloa`a Beach House offers a relaxed Hawaiiana setting with an ocean view. The property is accessed by a private bridge over the Moloa`a Stream and sits on two acres with various tropical fruit trees.
With only 20 yards to the golden sand of the Moloa`a Beach...this is a dreamers paradise. The producers of Gilligan's Island thought so highly of this location they filmed the pilot here. And just like the show...this beach still feels like a deserted island. Many a day one can find themselves completely alone on this magical beach. If you love to snorkel this is one of the gem ocean locations on Kauai.
The house is 1400 square feet with outdoor living on the wrap around covered and sunning lanai. Upstairs the home features two separate master suites each with it's own private full bath. Downstairs the home features all the other comforts of home. A large screen TV,DVD,VCR, Stereo, card table for late afternoon poker games, and even the Moloa`a Man(a life size wood carving of a chief) to keep you company.
The full kitchen is equipped with all the cooking utensils to make the chiefs job easy...and the gas BBQ is just steps away on the lanai which looks out to the ocean.
Located in the tranquility of Moloa`a, a 15 minute drive to shopping and Kauai's North Shore or East Side.

We stayed at Moloaa Bay at the end of Aug. 2011. The weather was perfect and the beach was the best! We loved that the house had chairs, cooler, mats, towels, and umbrella to take down to the beach with us. You can see and hear the water from the front of the house and it is a short walk to a very secluded beach. We tried other popular beaches on the island but they were all very crowded with limited parking. Moloaa Bay is just a few miles from the town of Kapaa where there is several restaurants and is in a central location on the island to venture to the North Shore for the day or go to the west side of the island and see Waimea Canyon and the Napali Cliffs. Darlene, the property manager was super helpful from my first inquiry to our late arrival. When we arrived at the house after midnight she had lights on and music playing for us. She also returned our security check within days of our departure! We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in this rental home in July 2011. The house is nicely laid out and breezy. The wrap around lanai was lovely as it overlooked beautiful gardens. Though it doesn't say so in the description, there is a great stereo that you can hook your ipod up to. The beach is very nice and a one minute walk away. There are many other great beaches that are a short drive away.

We enjoyed staying at the beach house. The pictures and description are very accurate and thus the house met all our high expectations. The house sits on a large lot and the surrounding landscaping and stream are fantastic. This is a great place to stay to experience real Hawaiian living. There is no air conditioning, but the house is very open and the cooling sea breeze blows right through. Frogs softly lull you to sleep at night and a rooster makes his ritual rounds to wish you a good morning. (There are virtually no bugs in the house despite being so open.) The beach is just a few steps away. This is the place to stay if you want to experience a true Hawaiian life style and be at a place so close to the beach, but avoid on-the-beach prices. Our reservation was handled in a very friendly and efficient manner.
