1950's Hawaiiana styled home recently restored by custom home builder/owner. Peaceful idealic setting overlooking Kalihiwai bay, sunsets of the Na Pali mountains, Bali Hai. You will not want to leave, but there is everything the north shore has to offer.

The pictures were taken from the back porch and family room (except for the one of the front of the house).

We are not near Kalihiwai Bay. We are on Kalihiwai Bay.

  • Mountain View: Most of the time I find myself oriented towards the mountains, this can be better than the ocean view. The ocean doesn't change much, but the mountains change every few minutes. See the waterfalls that cascade hundreds of feet.

  • There are so many great things about the house. The view is like an IMAX experience - you have both a panoramic view of mountains and sea as well as a vertical view down to the bay and beach right below. 2-dimensional photos have a hard time capturing it. When you arrive, whoever's getting the luggage out of the car should expect to hear the rest of the group yelling "Oh... WOW!!!..." as they enter the house first. The location is on a cul-de-sac where it's easy to get out to things but there's very little traffic or noise coming in. It's close enough to the waves that you hear them. The house itself is built in the style and materials of a year-round Hawaii residential home. The home is beautiful inside and out, just a really comfortable place to wake up in, come back to or watch the sun go down. The beds and linens are really comfortable. The owners and the team of on-Kauai people who help them are great to work with. Just an all-time All Star Team house rental. Sky and family

  • Beautiful views of the ocean and mountains from this house. It sits on a cliff overlooking a bay with waves crashing below. The house is clean with a big kitchen and plenty of room for the family to spread out. It has a back deck for taking in all the scenery plus a second backyard deck that includes a new gas grill plus a table and chairs for the perfect outdoor dining set-up. Kauai is a beautiful place and this is a great house!

  • We had the most wonderful time at Dwight and Cindy's house. It truly was the best spot on the island and we took full advantage of it by starting our early mornings on the back porch drinking coffee, listening to the waves and watching the splendor of the mountains. My husband actually proclaimed he got a shiver when we first saw the views and I must say that I've never seen my parents so happy or relaxed as they were on this vacation. We all agreed that the bay was the best beach on the North Shore and the house was so cozy we just sunk into its comfort right away. This is the first time I have ever wanted to revisit a get-away spot as the house and the island quickly became our favorite new vacation destination. I also wanted to say that the pictures do not do this lovely house or the fabulous views justice - you have to be there to understand the breadth of its beauty. A true gem.

    ...We enjoyed your house and were delighted to find that the view was everything it was said to be. The fact that the kitchen is very well equipped, there are plenty of towels, even beach chairs was appreciated. Who ever did the interior of the house, a professional I assume, did a wonderful job. Can't say enough good things about your property manager. She was accessible at ALL times and very helpful. We have some rental properties and we know how important good property managers are. From the rentor's point of view Joani is the BEST.

  • we recently stayed in this lovely home and had a wonderful time. the view from the house is amazing! the house is decorated very nicely and kitchen well equipped. it was a great choice considering location, size and price. the house is well maintained and has every ammenity you could ask for. we would definitely stay at this home again.
