Great place to stay while checking out London!!
09/25/2015 - This VRBO Bear wanted to drop by London for a week, and boy did I have fun! I was a lone bear this trip and this cozy London flat had much to offer. I had fun climbing the ladder to the sleeping loft and retreating to my comfortable Queen size bed each night. Lots of natural light throughout the apartment and plenty of seating in the living area. There is even a small collection of DVDs if you want to stay in and watch movies.
The kitchen was supplied with some basic amenities. There are plenty of nearby restaurants and pubs that would be a great alternative to dining in, as there is not direct seating for dining.
This place comfortably sleeps two but can sleep up to an additional two guests in the sleeping loft. I would recommend this as an option for children or other bears who are not concerned about cozying up in the cramped space. This is London, so don’t expect the square footage to be spacious – I was out exploring the city so didn’t spend a lot of time in the apartment.
The apartment manager Eva was very friendly. She explained where everything was located in the apartment, even explained how to walk to the tube station and gave me some nearby restaurant/pub/coffee recommendations. She made the check-in and check-out process very easy.
It was a quick walk to the nearby Warwick tube station and only a 15-20 minute tube ride into Central London, which I found to be a very quick commute all around. The neighborhood itself was clean, safe, charming and beautiful. I watched a play at the Victoria Palace Theater and was able to take the tube back to the Warwick stop and felt very safe walking home. Great restaurants and pubs nearby and also an easy place for Ubers or taxis to find.
Thanks Eva for a lovely time in your cozy flat!

A mountain getaway with everything you will need!
09/21/2015 - The colors are changing in Colorado and this Bear had to go see for himself!
Aspen trees change colors every fall and this wonderful home in Vail turned out to be a great place as our “home base” to go see the all of the wonderful yellow and red leaves! This spacious house was a perfect fit for our group. The oversized Great Room with soft leather couch was almost too comfortable to leave.
We loved taking a hike in during the day time, and cook wonderful meals at night. The gourmet kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes and silverware as well as pots and pans. Everything we needed was right there: crock pot, baking dishes, serving pieces, toaster oven, placemats, you name it- we had it. There are two dining tables in the house and it was nice for everyone to have a place to sit. No one had to stand and try to maneuver a plate and a beverage, it worked out so well.
When it comes to bedrooms, there was no lack of space or comfort! All of the bedrooms are oversized with dressers and supersized closets. The beds are very comfortable and the sheets were extra soft. I was so impressed I had to ask the owner where he bought them! This owner really makes an effort to makes his guests feel like “family” with wonderful towels and linens. He provides special makeup removal towels in the bathrooms as well as cotton balls along with shampoo and conditioner.
The eight person hot tub was a real treat for us gals, while our guys played pool. A full bar next to the pool table was nice for making cocktails and the kiddos enjoyed the Wii right around the corner.
# 558725 Castro, San Francisco, San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA, 2 BR, 1 BA, APARTMENT
Great views and a super location!!!
09/21/2015 - Upon arriving at the property, we were greeted by David, our concierge, and given a tour of our new home for the next five days in San Francisco. Instantly, my group and I fell in love. The view of the city from all sides of the house revealed a beautiful sight of the unique architecture of San Francisco. Outside, there was a great patio area where one could catch the breeze of the bay. When it got a bit chilly, we turned on the hot tub and relaxed as we played music from the surround system in the backyard.
The property is literally in the center of the most vibrant parts of the city. Within walking distance is the Castro District, famous for its history. There, you can go to the Castro Theatre where you can catch very interesting and great programming. My friends and I caught a double feature of "Smooth Talk" and "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me," the latter of which is one of my friend's favorite films. To the east of the rental was the Mission District, a great place to walk around and shop and catch a bite to eat. Grocery stores surround the neighborhood.
The public transportation is easily accessible from this rental as well! Buses are only a block away and subways leading to downtown are only a five minute walk. We were able to go to beach in the afternoon, get dinner downtown, and explore the clubs and bars in Castro easily in one day.
The comfortable beds and sofas alongside the 63" inch plasma screen television were perfect to curl up in and catch some television or Netflix after a long day of walking around the city. Waking up wasn't difficult when we could roll out of bed and feel the cool bay breeze while looking towards the beautiful San Francisco city. Thank you, House of Muse, for the wonderful stay - this Bear can't wait until his next time in San Francisco!

Close to the beach and a great stay when visiting Corpus Christi!
09/20/2015 - Hi! VRBO Bear here. Our family found a magnificent gem here in Corpus Christi, TX. We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy a relaxing weekend out on the beach. This vacation rental had it all. Upon entry, there was soothing music playing from the downstairs and upstairs TV. We had a family of 7 and there were plenty of beds for all of us. The master bath was huge, big enough to fit our entire family! All the appliances and switches were labeled, so it was easy to get acquainted with the rental. The double balcony was an added bonus with a dining area where guests can eat outside. The views from the condo were amazing.
A short walk from this rental has you on the beach within minutes. It was super convenient for our family. A short drive would get you back into the city for any necessary shopping. The private pools for the complex are nice if you prefer not to swim in the open water. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials which allowed us to cook dinner and breakfast for the whole family. At night, the cable TV came in handy to catch a football game. Instructions to operate all the state-of-the-art machinery was informative.
The owner was very accommodating to all of our needs. He had a very quick response time and made sure our stay was smooth sailing. We will definitely come back to stay at this rental again!
# 233151 Gruene, Hill Country, Texas, USA, 4 BR, 3 BA, HOUSE
Having fun and just relaxing at this charming old home.
09/19/2015 - We headed out to the country to enjoy some solitude and bask in nature. We bears needed to reconnect with our naturalistic natures and The Yellow Yaus in Gruene was the perfect hideaway. The 106-year-old house with polished wooden floors and open kitchen and living room exuded coziness. Small, delicate touches such as paintings depicting the town’s favorite spots and antique ornaments tickled our senses with delight. The backyard patio was a favorite spot to sit and talk or just relax. The spacious bedrooms beckoned to us to tuck in, as bears usually do, but we had to explore.
The town’s center was only a few minutes’ walk and along the way, we took in the appealing sights. We saw antique shops with trinkets and souvenirs to remember our stay, local restaurants housed in pristine historic buildings, and outside festivals with people strolling around mingling, relishing the last days of summer.
We bears immersed ourselves in the culture of relaxation. Not a care in the world was a strong ambience in the air that we felt as well. The friendliness of the owner, Tom, who came personally to recommend spots to explore, made us feel that we were right at home.
With heavy hearts our wonderful stay came to an end, but we enjoyed it immensely. So too bad, Goldilocks, we bears plan to go back. Don’t get too comfortable.

09/11/2015 - A Bear’s Birthday Stay
We could not have picked a more perfect place to celebrate my best bear friend’s birthday. This condo was more than we expected and we already were in love with it just from the pictures. The pictures do not do it justice. The check-in was a sea breeze and from there all we had on our agenda was rest and relaxation. Cara made the stay so enjoyable by making sure we had everything we needed so we didn’t have to worry about a thing.
The entire condo had more than enough space. There were 7 of us bears all together and the condo slept each of us comfortably in beds. It was great being able to just enjoy each other’s company and sit down for meals.
We spent almost an hour on the balcony just watching the prettiest sunset we had ever seen. We watched dolphins from the balcony every day and it took just 2 minutes to get to the beach. When you stand on the balcony you feel like you are on the edge of the world with nothing but clear emerald water in front of you. Besides being so close to the beach you are within walking distance of Pier Park which we went to every night to celebrate. Even the locals were welcoming.
I’m fairly certain this bear will be back again.
# 216122 Anna Maria, Anna Maria Island, Florida South West, Florida, USA, 5 BR, 3 BA, HOUSE
Relaxing at the pool.
09/06/2015 - Great vacation! We were welcomed with a gift basket full of treats for the whole bear family and a refrigerator with refreshments! The VRBO Bear was in need of a little downtime at the end of the summer. This was the most beautiful and relaxing visit vacation ever.
The house is straight out of a designer magazine, updated, bright and airy, soothing and relaxing colors, hardwood floors throughout and super spacious. Large sliders open the whole house up to the gorgeous back yard pool and canal dock. It's located in the quiet residential end of Anna Maria Island away from the day trippers.
This bear enjoyed spending mornings at the beach a short 2 blocks away, afternoons relaxing on the large outdoor patio enjoying the beautiful landscaping surrounding our large 30 ft saltwater pool, and evenings eating on the patio and picnic table followed by quiet time on the private dock watching the sunset and waiting for the resident manatee to appear.
The bear family found everything they needed was provided for - hotel quality towels, linens and bath amenities, the most organized and efficient kitchen ever, beach towels, beach cart, beach toys and floats. For rainy days, there were plenty of supplies - books, crayons and puzzles. There was even a canoe!
Two separate wings and a separate master gave all of us privacy. The older cubs had their own wing with 2 bedrooms and a shared bath. A pocket door allowed Mama and Papa bear to close out noise. It would be perfect for a holiday visit with our whole family.
The Bear family loved this house. I think Mama Bear cried as we drove away.
# 402721 Nail Bay, Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands BVI, Caribbean, 5 BR, 7 BA, VILLA
Every room has a view!
09/03/2015 - This bear needed a relaxing holiday at the beach with friends and Villa La Vida in Virgin Gorda delivered. The home was better than the photos and the owners really know how to provide a great experience for their guests.
The property is beautifully designed to make the most of both indoor and outdoor living. Every room has a view and outdoor access including the bedrooms, community areas, and game room. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space to be together as a group or off on your own to hide away and read. Add the sunset views everywhere and we were in island heaven.
Our personal favorite was snorkeling around a beautiful reef right from the beach in the back yard. Snorkeling gear was provided in the home. Plus, we enjoyed taking the kayaks out to find another beautiful sandy beach only yards away. The hardest thing we had to do each day was to decide if we wanted to swim, kayak, snorkel, sit on the shaded balcony to read, play in the game room, or hang out in the gourmet kitchen to cook and make fun drinks.
We didn’t need to leave the house to have a great time but we also enjoyed some trips around the island to view the sites and go boating. What a beautiful place to explore! The local concierge was also really helpful in ensuring we had everything we needed. They helped us with pre-trip planning and were also available throughout the trip if we had any questions or needed assistance with any aspect of our stay.
Our trip was a great success and we are so thankful to the homeowners who made it possible. It was so obvious how much care and detail went into the home to ensure their guests have an amazing experience. This bear is happy and I will tell all my bear friends to try it out. Thank you!
# 641928 Grey Hawk, Blueberry Hill, Whistler, Vancouver Coast & Mountains, British Columbia, Canada, 2 BR, 2 BA, CONDO
Spacious and cozy with a beautiful view!
08/24/2015 - An escape to the mountains was just what this Bear needed as the Summer was nearing its end. As we made the drive into Whistler we were pleased at the close proximity the condominium had to the Sea to Sky Highway and to Whistler Village. After securing our car safely in the underground parking spot we entered into the first floor condo and were met with all the comforts of home. The kitchen was so beautifully upgraded and had everything a Bear could need to prepare proper meals for his family. The dining room had plenty of seating and we enjoyed many evenings of playing board games. The living room windows gave us a pleasant view of the mountains off in the distance and when it got a bit chilly we warmed up quickly by the fireplace. I must say it was tempting to begin hibernating early once we slept in the spacious and cozy bedrooms. The heated floors of the bathrooms were a major perk when our paws got cold.
During the day we ventured down the road and explored the Village and took in the incredible views from the gondolas and mountaintops of Blackcomb and Whistler. The nearby hiking trails, lakes, and waterfalls kept us busy. Having such close access to the trail system throughout Whistler also was a plus. Although we didn't all partake, the braver Bears in our group spent a day at the Mountain Bike park. Definitely an experience to remember!
After the long days outside we loved taking advantage of the outdoor patio, where we would play cards and enjoy the quiet. A definite highlight were the condo amenities located right adjacent to us. We played some games of pool and every night during our stay we relaxed in the hot tub enjoying the beautiful mountain vistas.
Chris and George were excellent hosts and made everything during our stay just as perfect as honey. Us Bears definitely felt at home in Whistler and can't wait to return!
# 366305 St. Augustine, Florida North East, Florida, USA, 4 BR, 2 BA, HOUSE
Extraordinary views right from the deck!!!
08/21/2015 - I, the VRBO Bear, had a wonderful time with my bear friends and family at Fred’s lovely St. Augustine beach house!
In the mornings, we headed out to the deck and enjoyed a cup of coffee while taking in the extraordinary ocean views. Once we had some energy, we grabbed the provided beach towels and chairs and walked just a few steps to the private beach. Some days we lost track of time basking in the sun and playing in the waves with the provided boogie boards and kayaks.
When it was time to eat, we had everything we needed to cook delicious meals for all of us hungry bears: a spacious kitchen, plenty of utensils, a fully stocked spice cabinet, and an outdoor grill.
The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the HD television (with lots of channels) was an added bonus for the nights we were worn out after a long day.
The location of the home was absolutely perfect. In the afternoons and evenings, we enjoyed nearby golfing and water front dining (thanks to Fred’s excellent suggestions). Of course, being only a short drive away, we also made several trips to the historic city of St. Augustine for shopping, sightseeing, and even more wonderful dining.
We absolutely loved this vacation rental and can’t wait to go back!
# 471038 North Padre Island, Gulf Coast, Texas, USA, 3 BR, 2 BA, VILLA
Beautiful place to stay while at Padre Island, with views of the water.
08/20/2015 - This property was a perfect getaway on the beach at a fantastic villa on the water!
We had two families and this was our first time at Padre Island with our cubs. Upon entering the house, we loved the open floor plan with the kitchen and living area together with a view of the water. The entire house was nicely themed with beach vacation touches like a bowl full of shells that were signed from previous visitors. The master suite also had a great view of the water. The master bathroom was also very nicely decorated and had a extra large shower and whirlpool tub. The other two rooms had comfy full sized beds.
Momma Bear loved the kitchen which was well stocked and had Tupperware for all of our beach picnics. The papa bears enjoyed our time on the back patio by the grill with the cubs doing cannonballs off the pier. We also got to eat out at some fun nearby places, just 5-10 min away. JB's German Bakery for breakfast was delicious. By the coast we hit the popular Snoopies for fried seafood and the cubs made sure we did not forget about the ice cream parlor.
The house is just down the street from the brand new Schlitterbahn Water Park. The highlight of the trip was definitely the wind surfing off of Wild Bird Basin. This was located about 10 minutes away and is one of the top (if not the top) destinations for wind surfing in the USA. It’s shallow water with a sandy bottom so even the cubs tried it out. We enjoyed the beach at Padre Island National Seashore – a 60 mile stretch of beautiful undeveloped beach. There were beach towels, chairs, coolers and toys provided at the house.
During downtime back at the house, there was wifi and cable or the lady bears would just get their fur tanned by the water.
Last but not least, the owner was not only very responsive, but proactive in keeping us informed about our upcoming stay.
# 502313 Los Pinos, Peak 9, Breckenridge, Northwest, Colorado, USA, 3 BR, 3 BA, CONDO
Enjoy luxury in Breckenridge Colorado.
08/15/2015 - We could not have been happier with our summer stay at Los Pinos! We loved both the property and its location. Our group contained five adults and two children, and the condo was the perfect size for us. We were able to spend time together in the kitchen/dining/living area and also have privacy in each of the three bed and bathrooms.
The kitchen was full of all of the dishes and equipment we needed, and it was very nice to have the washer and dryer to wash our hiking clothes. The kids loved the bunk beds and playing in the yard outside, while I especially loved having the master suite on a separate floor, complete with its own porch where I could sit and read, have a glass of wine, and enjoy the view of the beautiful trees. Sadly, we were too busy having fun for me to use the beautiful master bath jacuzzi tub. We could have spent the entire time having a blast without even leaving the property!
Los Pinos was close to downtown. The weather was perfect, day and night, which was a big change from the Austin heat! We were active outside during the day: the kids loved spending the day at the Summer Fun Park, and I got to deal with my fear of heights and hike my first fourteener, Quandary Peak, which was only a few miles away. Then, we relaxed and had wonderful meals each night; we especially liked Relish and Blue River Bistro.
Also, Steve was very responsive; he responded to every message from me within a few hours, despite living in a different time zone! We were given detailed directions, instructions for check in and check out, for the wireless, pool, and garage, and multiple ways to contact both the owners and the property managers.
I would recommend Steve and Hayley’s place to everyone I know, and hope to one day go back there again myself!
# 438319 Castro, San Francisco, San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA, 1 BR, 1 BA, STUDIO
Close to the Metro and check out this amazing garden just outside your door.
08/08/2015 - I loved this rental property as it was right next to everything. We were so close to the Castro, a grocery store, a drugstore and many restaurants and bars. There was even a hardware store nearby with anything that you could need.
I loved the space of the studio. It was perfect for me and my friend. Intimate but not small and perfect for couples, with plenty of space. It’s a lot bigger than any hotel room I’ve seen in San Francisco and has the kitchenette you’ll never find in a hotel room. We were able to keep snacks and little nibbles in the room so we didn’t have to run out to get something in the morning before we were ready to head out to our next adventure. The bed was giant and very comfortable. I could sleep forever on the sheets provided. We had everything we needed from an iron and ironing board to robes and slippers.
We were close to public transportation. It was a short walk to catch the Metro to anywhere in the city. It’s also close to bus lines if you prefer.
Although we weren’t able to meet Jan, we did get to meet Wandralee and had a great time visiting with her. She was able to recommend restaurants and many things that we hadn’t heard of.
The best part of staying here was the amazing garden out back. It was pretty and wonderful to look at as we sat outside in the morning. There’s a great table in the back corner where you can look at the trees and the garden while relaxing or two chairs just outside the sliding glass door. The garden would be great for those who like to meditate or do yoga in the morning. Or anytime as the space is so quiet even during the rush hour. You can’t hear any traffic or noise unlike many of the downtown hotels. I even heard from Wandralee that a couple staying here got engaged in the garden.
I’d highly recommend this studio to anyone wanting to stay in San Francisco. I’d love to stay here again next time I’m in town.
# 374434 Grassy Key, Marathon Area, Florida Keys, Florida, USA, 3 BR, 2 BA, HOUSE
A beautiful place to relax after a day of exploring the Keys!
08/08/2015 - The VRBO Bear stayed at the Key Lime Kottage and he could ‘Bearly’ stand to leave…..
I must first just say, the owners of this incredibly nice property in the Central Florida Keys are impeccable vacation rental owners in every single regard. The VRBO Bear was very impressed. Every nuance and detail of the property is top-notch and they take great pride to ensure that their property is impeccable in every regard.
The swimming pool and hot tub, enclosed by a lovely Florida screened room provided a wonderful insect-free habitat that my family enjoyed every evening after an adventure-filled day exploring the Florida Keys. It was simply the best. Imagine lying in a hot tub watching your favorite movie on a large screen TV, surrounded by the darkness of a mangrove forest and not another house in sight.
My Bear family and I sponsored a dolphin (Cayo) at the dolphin research center next door to the Key Lime Kottage, and for our membership fee ($100) we were allowed to visit the dolphins at the center every day of our stay for no extra charge. (Except the gift shop, as the VRBO Bear has young cubs.) The center is a mere 100 yards from the Kottage on foot. This alone was hard to beat, but even more fun than that, was every morning and evening we would take the kayaks provided by the Kottage and visit the dolphins by sea… it was so much fun. And about the kayaking… the Bear family explored the entire bay to the north and to the south, including the fascinating mangrove tunnel forest just across the bay. Sunsets on a kayak in the bay in the evening…..in a word, priceless.
Another nice feature the Bear appreciated about the Kottage were the detailed instructions about everything you might have questions about, such as how to load the kayaks from the garage and to the dock, which trash cans were for recycling and when to get them to the curb, to the details regarding the proper operation of the hot tub, and much more. The owners of Key Lime Kottage have thought of it all.
The VRBO Bear likes to cook and there were every manner of quality cooking pots and accessories a chef like the Bear could ever want or need. In particular, the knives were of excellent quality and sharp. The VRBO Bear appreciates sharp knives while cooking and was very pleased to discover this when he started preparing meals. For the VRBO little cubs, my kids, one thing they appreciated was the excellent technology. There was a solid Wi-Fi signal on the entire property and the TV in the main living room for evening movie watching was outstanding as well as the TV at the hot tub outside. And finally, for Momma Bear, when asked what her favorite things were she said there were very nice towels, including an abundance of pool towels, a nicely stocked kitchen with everything that you need to cook meals, there were notes to answer all questions, and there were good pool toys for the kids.
Every detail was thought of to make the traveler experience the best with all the creature comforts possible for a vacation. If you are looking to have a wonderfully private and secluded vacation escape in a premium property managed by owners that genuinely care about your experience you need look no further than the Key Lime Kottage. It was an incredibly relaxing place for the VRBO Bear Family to stay at and they would love to visit again someday!
# 292702 Rincon, Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico, Caribbean, 2 BR, 2 BA, CONDO
Enjoy the breathtaking views!
08/06/2015 - Our stay was amazing! The owner was communicative at all times and readily available for any questions. He provided some great recommendations for things to do – there was a binder in the condo as well as the activities we read about on the listing. We all went out on our first day and swam and chased a small crab across the beach.
The condo was very spacious for the mama, papa and teenage bear so we did not have to worry about stepping on each other’s paws. The view from the balcony was breathtaking and every morning we would look out at the beach and hear the waves. The condo was well appointed with towels for the shower and towels for the beach. With a washer and dryer in the unit we never ran out of towels.
The condo is centrally located so we could walk to most of our excursion appointments (scuba, kayak, snorkel and horseback riding) as well as the downtown and beach areas. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about the area. He recommended a rental car even though we could walk to most things, and we were glad we had one. We didn’t have to wait for taxis when going farther than the mile around the condo, and the GPS was helpful since some road signs were harder to see than others.
The coolest thing we did was go out to Desecheo Island and do a snorkel trip where we could see the bottom of the ocean even though it was a good 50 feet below. It was there that we saw sea turtles. We also enjoyed Harbor restaurant, it is just a block and a half from the condo and the red snapper there was mouthwatering

Enjoy the breeze and breathtaking views of the ocean.
08/01/2015 - We had a great stay at this condo in Kona. It’s located along a main street, and we were excited to see the ocean and breathtaking views as the car turned into the property.
There were so many exciting things to do on the island, we didn’t spend too much time indoors or get to use the pool. Our favorite times in the condo were the mornings and late evenings. The lanai had a perfect view of the ocean as we were actually right alongside it! In the mornings, we would drink coffee and watch the dolphins and cruise ships through the binoculars. At night, the breeze was perfect and we spent nights reading on the deck to the sound of ocean waves.
All the amenities in our little condo were just what we needed: snorkels, beach towels, bath towels, pool noodles, games, DVDs, and washing/drying machine. The bed was very tall, but very comfortable! We took hot and good-pressured showers each night, too!
I highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for a little condo in the perfect location with wonderful ocean views.
# 445306 Private Homes, Marco Island, Florida South West, Florida, USA, 3 BR, 3 BA, HOUSE
The perfect place to enjoy southern Florida.
08/01/2015 - After a short drive from Ft. Lauderdale, this Pops Bear was ready to relax with Ma Bear, Kid Bear, and Grandma & Papa Bear for a week on Marco Island in this beautiful vacation home. We couldn’t have been more happy!
Tom, our host, was an extremely nice and accommodating guy. Upon arrival he greeted us, went over where everything was and how things worked in the house. He spent time going over a map of the island with us showing us some of the key places. Overall, he made us feel comfortable and welcome.
The main entryway opens up into a large open great room with lots of natural light and a great view of the pool and waterways. There was a nice formal dining area and a fully-equipped kitchen connected which made it easy to relax, cook meals, and be together. But what we loved most was being able to step right out to the enclosed lanai and pool. This virtually doubled the living space and made it very easy to entertain Kid Bear.
The home was perfect for a family of bears, as it provided a perfect balance of being together or having privacy when we wanted. The master suite is on one side of the house and the other two bedrooms are on the opposite side. That made it nice for Grandma and Papa Bear to get some rest when Kid Bear decided to wake up early in the morning!
All three bedrooms were very comfortable with pillow top mattresses and soft bed linens, but the master suite stood out. It’s hard not to relax when you have a full pillow top king-sized bed to sleep on, a huge bathroom with an oversized tub and shower to bathe in, and a sliding glass door that leads directly to the pool.
All the things a family might need in a house were there, including utensils, linens, dishes, cooking spices, pots, pans, etc. Everything you’d need for a trip to the beach, including umbrellas and sand mats, were all there. Pool toys, soap and shampoo, and a really nice grill were available.
One of our favorite things about the house was getting up early in the morning, being able to take a few steps out to the boat dock, and watching the sun rise.
This home is central to everything. Both beaches are about 10 minutes away and both have fun activities such as parasailing and renting wave runners. Most of the restaurants are 5-10 minutes away. Pops Bear recommends driving 30 minutes into Naples, FL for a nice evening out.
After a week there we were sad to have to go back to our cave. There is a LOT to love about this wonderful Marco Island vacation home and we would definitely recommend it to anyone. Thanks for the great experience!
# 237474 Cane Bay, USVI - St. Croix, Caribbean, 4 BR, 4 BA, VILLA
Lounging in the sun, overlooking the beatiful ocean views!!!
07/25/2015 - The VRBO Bear just had an amazing first day in the beautiful U.S. Virgin Island of St. Croix! The weather was perfect - in the 80’s and a summer breeze filled the air. The bear was fortunate to stay in a designer estate that sits on top of two private hilltop acres overlooking St. Croix. A great plus is that the bear could leave his passport at home and travel with just a US license!
The beautiful home provided island living to its fullest. The outdoor living area, including the kitchen, living room, dining room, and pool, all overlook the Caribbean. The bear’s favorite parts of the house included the relaxing hammock, upstairs balcony and the pool! The Larimar Estate had plenty of room for all of the bear’s items because it was 4200 square feet with four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Michael, the onsite caretaker of the property provided the bear with a full list of activities for the week such as island explorations, snorkeling, and relaxing at the beach. The bear had a real surprise towards the end of his stay when Michael brought over Kiki and the Flaming Gypsies to the house to perform fire dancing!
The bear had an unforgettable experience at Villa Larimar in St. Croix. The ocean views, outdoor living space, and the onsite property manager provided us a wonderful vacation.
# 108839 Sierra Manors, Mammoth Lakes, Mammoth Mountain, Gold Country & High Sierra, California, USA, 3 BR, 2 BA, TOWNHOME
Great views in the middle of town!
07/18/2015 - This property is located right in the middle of the town. It's walking distance to Starbucks, bike & ski rentals, the resort shuttle and the main grocery store! It's very roomy, modern and updated with a nice vaulted wood ceiling. It's fully stocked with all the basics from paper towels to laundry soap. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and this was the best stocked with all the basics we needed to enjoy our week.
Our family thought this townhouse was comfortable and homey. We felt very relaxed and enjoyed being able to explore the town on bike, foot or using the free transportation system.
It’s very close to Footloose Sports where you can rent the best mountain bikes in town. We rode from the very top of Mammoth Mountain right down to the Townhouse!
The owner was very responsive to all questions. I'd highly recommend staying here and we hope to return some time soon. Thanks to Buck for the great trip.

Everything about this place was perfect!
07/18/2015 - We had an awesome time at Las Piedras. Five stars aren’t enough!
The home had an antique, relaxing feel. The effect was mesmerizing just like one would experience at the spa, with the difference that the calming effect lasts way more than just an hour or two.
Pictures don’t do justice to this property. One must stay to experience beauty and calming effect of the cottage. From the entrance there are outstanding views of the mountains. The living area also had great mountain views. From the sunroom you could spot rabbits running in the bushes. There were skylights at multiple locations in the home that kept the home well illuminated.
The kitchen is fully equipped with whatever one might need. It is clean and well kept. We were a large group and cooked at home. Cid’s grocery is close-by where you can find local organic grocery items.
The vacation home is spacious. Master bath is a home in itself. Amenities are excellent; sauna, spa, washer and dryer, and kitchen appliances, ping-pong room, lots of games, tons of books, patio with excellent views and grill and the list keeps going on.
A week is not enough to enjoy this place. It is a perfect retreat for family and friends. Needless to say, next time we visit Taos, we know where our home is!!

Love the view!
07/08/2015 - The condo has all of the amenities required for a terrific vacation. The living room has a great open layout with huge screened in windows that provide mountain views.
My family and I really enjoyed the condo's proximity to summer time activities like paddle boating, biking, fishing, hiking, and lots of other things. We were able to take a stroll around a small lake to grab pizza and ice cream after an event-filled day. As an added bonus, back-to-school outlet shopping for brands like Under Armour, Nike, Ralph Lauren, Columbia and more is just right down the road in Silverthorne.
My kids were able to watch movies from their comfortable bunk beds. I would definitely recommend this condo for families with kids of any age.
Thanks for offering up your mountain retreat for us!

Steps away from the beach....what could be better?
06/29/2015 - VRBO Bear here, reporting from sunny Los Angeles! When we decided to visit LA, we couldn’t resist staying at the Casa Grande at Hermosa Oasis located in beautiful Hermosa Beach.
First of all, the house is wonderful. Three comfortable bedrooms, each with a TV to wind down at the end of a long day, and two bathrooms. The living room is spacious and perfect for lounging in front of the large windows overlooking the beach and the Strand. The kitchen is open and has everything you need. The owner also provides chairs, coolers, and towels to use on the beach. Free WiFi if you are inclined to stay connected.
As great as the house is, the best part of this place is the LOCATION. The front porch is literally steps from the beach. There is a volleyball net directly in front of the house. Hermosa Beach Pier, with tons of restaurants, bars and shops, is only a few minutes’ walk away. There is a convenience store and grocery store within walking distance. Manhattan Beach is only a 15-20 minute walk down the Strand. 20 minute drive from LAX.
The Strand is always full of people walking, running, and biking which can inspire those interested in active fun. We spent a lot of time at the porch table, enjoying the ocean breeze. Suzanne, the owner, was very attentive to every need and made our arrival and departure painless. Come visit the Casa Grande, you won’t regret it!

Catch some rays out by the pool.
06/28/2015 - As soon as we came out of hibernation and strolled up to the building we knew this place in lower downtown Denver was going to be the perfect place for us. Our bear family is just the two of us so this unit with one bedroom and bath was perfect.
The kitchen was large and well equipped for any chef bears that might want to cook during their vacation. The living room featured an excellent television with a wide assortment of channels. The bathroom is well appointed with a modern, front-loading washer and dryer in the closet. This was great for us bears, as we like to pack light.
The covered parking garage was very easy to access with the elevators conveniently next to the access door. There was no assigned spot but there were always plenty of available spaces.
We didn’t use the pool during our stay, but it did look inviting and there were plenty of deck chairs around the sides for relaxing. Probably the most unique feature of this building is the mini two-lane bowling alley located on the first floor. How neat is that?
There were many options nearby for food and entertainment. The 16th Street Mall area has nearly everything you could need for shopping and there’s a free shuttle that runs up and down the center.
We really enjoyed our stay in Denver and we loved this perfect little condo. It was a great home away from our usual bear cave and we will certainly book it again!

We enjoyed everything about this beautiful home.
06/28/2015 - The Lake Dunlap house was the perfect location for a laid back retreat to celebrate my birthday. My best bear friends (4 of us) had a wonderful time lounging in the sunshine on the boat dock. Having breakfast on the back patio overlooking the serene, morning lakefront was the perfect way to start the day. We had plenty of room to spread out and relax while catching up with friends and we all slept comfortably in our own rooms.
The proximity to Whitewater Amphitheater was perfect. We were able to Uber to and from the concert easily and several tubing spots were accessible near by. I’d recommend the Walker’s home for your next gathering of bear friends or family, big or small. They have plenty of comfortable beds and living areas inside and out for the group to hang out together or find peace and quiet in their own corner of the property. Next time we go I hope we have a chance to sit under the stars and listen to the lake lapping at the shore by the fire pit!
# 378678 Sonoma, Sonoma County, Wine Country, California, USA, 1 BR, 1 BA, COTTAGE
Beautiful place, both inside and outside.
06/23/2015 - This Sonoma cottage is the perfect secluded spot for visiting all the area has to offer! A friend joined me, and we had the pleasure of staying in this hide-away at the end of a long, private driveway.
The cottage has all the amenities a bear would need, including a bottle of wine waiting to be uncorked upon arrival. The bright kitchen was well-stocked with necessities, including beer, water and ice. The bedroom sleeps two and the sleeper-sofa sleeps two, so each of us had plenty of room to sprawl at night after long days of hunting for honey and wine. The garden patio is gorgeous and begs for guests to sit outside enjoying the cool, dry evenings of northern California.
The downtown square in Sonoma has many restaurants, shops, and wine bars. It is only a mile away, which is a quick drive or an easy walk through the quiet neighborhood. The owners, Bennett and Sheila, offer their classic cherry red VW Beetle to drive around. Although we did not drive it, we admired the shiny car each time we entered the driveway.
As a springboard for visiting the Sonoma and Napa region, this is a fantastic location to stay. I highly recommend visiting this Sonoma cottage for anyone visiting the wine country!
# 314948 Private Homes, Longbeach Village, Longboat Key, Florida South West, Florida, USA, 3 BR, 2 BA, HOUSE
Here is the "key" to a wonderful vacation.
06/20/2015 - With our first impression of this house on Longboat Key, we knew our vacation was going to be great. The owners had thoughtfully turned the A/C on before we arrived, which was quite a welcome for our Bear family. Momma Bear, Baby Bear, and I were part of a mini gathering of the Bear Clan – nine in all.
We immediately noticed how clean this place was. The floor plan was set up to accommodate with three separate Bear caves (oh – you humans call these bedrooms, I believe) with a large kitchen & living room in the middle providing plenty of space to spread out when little bears needed to take naps in a quiet space.
As you know, bears are often hungry, so the kitchen is hugely important and the Longboat house rental had a great one. It had everything that a Foodie Bear could ever want. I particularly liked the generous size of the refrigerator – lots of room.
A big plus was this house was in a quiet neighborhood without the buzz of traffic. Great for sleepy Bear naps. We were happy the beaches were so close and that the homeowners were good enough to have a huge collection of beach toys, umbrellas, chairs, beach towels, etc. We quickly realized there would be plenty of shade, comfortable chairs and toys.
A personal favorite were the five bikes - nice, good quality bikes. They worked great for both trips to the beach and to town. And talk about responsive home owners - they called on our first day to check how things were going and we happened to mention that the bike tire air pump was broken and within an hour a new one was on the front step.
The Bear Clan’s visit to Longboat was a real success. Much of it was the result of a well maintained and super clean house with homeowners who obviously cared enough to equip their home with things like bikes & beach toys that make such a difference when you’re on vacation. Great job!

Home - home on the range!
06/12/2015 - We had a fantastic stay at the Wellington Vineyard estate home. The home is completely lovely and well-appointed and the grounds are gorgeous.
This bear family feels this place is PERFECT as both a comfortable, child-safe place for one or more families and also luxurious and beautiful as a wine country getaway for grown-ups. The kitchen is marvelous and there are so many places to eat! A nice dining room table and tables on both the porch and yard on either side of the house. We bears do lots of cooking and really appreciated the nice appliances and kitchen tools. The house offers gorgeous vistas from every room. The living room has wall-to-wall sliders, providing views of the vineyards, mountains, and gardens.
We have 3 small bear cubs and shared the home with another bear family. Erika, the manager, provided several high chairs, sleeping cot, pack n plays, and lots of high quality toys for the kiddos. It was the perfect place for a family trip. The heated pool has a safety cover, which gave us peace of mind with our small children. Many hours were spent playing ping pong and bocce ball too! There was a huge pile of beach towels and several emergency kits, a nice plus.
Upon our arrival, a nice bottle of wine was waiting for us, made with grapes from the vineyard that the house resides on. There were 8 bikes with helmets available and the house is located off the main road, which makes it feel off the beaten track. It's also located in a perfect spot in Sonoma Co, with many restaurants and wineries nearby.
The house was spotless and stocked with high quality bed linens and very comfy beds. We'd love to return with a couple of couples for a weekend away. This house is wonderful!
# 160183 Country Club, La Jolla, San Diego County, California, USA, 7 BR, 6 BA, HOUSE
Enjoy the beautiful outdoor living space!
06/12/2015 - We highly recommend a stay in this beautiful La Jolla home to experience a wonderful vacation. The home has 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, which was more than enough room for our group of 9 Bear family members (6 adults and 3 children). Three of the bedrooms have king beds, which was a major plus given that we had three couples in our group. The upstairs bedrooms have relaxing balconies with incredible views of La Jolla, the beach, and the Pacific Ocean. The house has several living areas and a large, accommodating kitchen, which made it a perfect retreat for cooking meals and enjoying each other's company. The house also has several family-friendly features including kid's toys, movies, and beach toys.
The property also has a beautiful outdoor living area and backyard, including several nice sitting areas and many lovely plants native to southern California. The adults enjoyed the outdoor fireplace in the evening and the kids enjoyed playing games in the back yard. We took advantage of the outdoor grill to cook fresh fish from the nearby El Pescador Fish Market.
The home is located less than a mile from downtown La Jolla, which has many restaurants and great shopping. Also within walking distance from the house, the La Jolla cove is a must-see (look for the sea lions!) and the Coast Walk trail offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the dramatic La Jolla coastline. A short drive away, the La Jolla Shores Beach is a beautiful public beach. It was very clean, not too crowded, with free parking, and a perfect place to relax and watch beautiful sunsets. For those who enjoy golf, Torrey Pines offers one of the most scenic courses in all of golf.
This Bear family had a truly memorable vacation in this fantastic home and we thank the owners for an amazing experience!
# 599810 Indian Beach, Galveston, Gulf Coast, Texas, USA, 3 BR, 3 BA, HOUSE
The perfect place to stay in Galveston!
06/11/2015 - The bear family had a fantastic stay at Villa Bel Mare in Galveston! We traveled with another family, for a total of four adults and five children. The home was perfectly set up for a group of two families. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with bathrooms. The master bedroom has a large closet (with an air vent) that had a futon mattress and pack and play, along with extra bedding storage. The little closet was perfect for my two year old to sleep in! The master bedroom is also very large and carpeted, so there was plenty of room for a child in a sleeping bag there as well.
Downstairs is the living space and another bedroom with two full size beds, a full bathroom, and a TV/ DVD player. That bedroom worked well for the children. The living space is open, with two tables/ chairs plus barstools, so we had plenty of dining space. There is a large deck off the downstairs, with six deck chairs and a table/ chairs set. We spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the views.
The house had everything we needed, and it was very clean when we arrived. There is a grill outside, which we used every day. There were also plenty of dishes, serving dishes, and grilling tools. My favorite touch was the mini LED night lights around the home, which were great to put with the children at night.
The beach is about a block away. It was wonderful! We were there during the week, and it was not crowded at all. There was always plenty of parking right by the beach walkway entrance, in case you want to take coolers and other beach gear. We set up a beach canopy in the morning and left it up all day, even when we returned to the house for a midday break. We also left some chairs and other items with the canopy, and it was all there when we returned.
There is wide open space all around the home, so there are great views in every direction of the ocean and bay sides. You can see both the sunrise and sunset!
# 355767 Gulf Point, South Padre Island, Gulf Coast, Texas, USA, 2 BR, 2 BA, CONDO
There is something here for the whole family!!!
06/07/2015 - I highly recommend this condo for a family stay! It was fully equipped to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable vacation. Many recent upgrades have been done, including a new washer/dryer and a new TV in the master bedroom. There were many handy and thoughtful perks throughout the condo - a beach cart, beach chairs, beach mats and toys, a poker table, and games. The kitchen is fully equipped with lots of dishes, pots and pans, a coffee maker, toaster, ice maker in the freezer, blender, dishwasher and just about anything you’ll need if you plan on cooking. With TV’s, Direct TV and DVD players in both bedrooms as well as the living room, I was able to keep the kids busy while making breakfast or packing/unpacking.
The balcony had 4 chairs and a table. It was well shaded so it was nice to be able to hang out at any time of day. We had views of the bay from our bedrooms and the balcony overlooks the pool. Parking was easy - the garage is right under the condo. The elevators worked perfectly, no issues and there was even a cart for luggage which made life much easier when unloading and loading luggage.
The pool is awesome! There is a kiddie pool with a sun shade over it, a hot tub, a deep end, built in chaise lounges so you can literally lay down while you’re in the pool and a cabana in the middle for plenty of shade! Several grilling stations with shade and picnic tables are nearby.
The beach is a very short walk on a private walkway. It was easy to get to and even easier with that beach cart! With two small children, all of the beach toys plus our umbrella, towels and blanket, this beach cart was a life saver.
The condo is right next to Schlitterbahn Water Park and there’s a restaurant right on the beach which allowed us to grab a bite before heading up.
I already miss this condo and wish we could have stayed for the whole summer!

Sit back and enjoy the mountain views.
06/06/2015 - The cabin was super clean and fully appointed with everything our family needed. We were able to sit by the fireplace and enjoy the mountain views each night. There were two levels of decks, an outside fire pit, a ping pong table, and huge windows facing out over the mountains. We had plenty of room for everyone to relax, play and enjoy some R&R. WiFi and satellite TV meant we were able to stay connected.
We had never been to the Blue Ridge Mountain area, so having all the local tourist info in a nice binder made our rather impromptu vacation experience fun and easy. There was much to see and do. We enjoyed eating fresh goods at the local orchard, riding the Blue Ridge Train through the mountains, shopping, traveling to the nearby TN Aquarium (totally worth the long hike!) and we wish we would have had enough time to spend a few days rafting, hiking, and zip-lining!
Our family can’t wait to come back. It was nice to slow down, enjoy the views and just do whatever we wanted to do!

Cool down on the patio and enjoy the fresh air.
06/05/2015 - I highly recommend this property for a family stay! It was fully equipped to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable vacation, which we did. The owner was very responsive and we answered all of our questions quickly. There were many handy and thoughtful perks at the house such as a radio flyer wagon that my son enjoyed, beach cruisers, beach toys, surfboards, boogie boards, Wii, Xbox 360, kids’ books, and other toys for children. The kitchen is fully equipped with lots of dishes, pots and pans, a coffee maker, toaster, blender, dishwasher and just about anything you’ll need if you plan on cooking.
The outdoor grill was great for my family to enjoy the great climate in Pacific Beach, cook our dinner, and just be outside. My favorite part of the day was enjoying an afternoon iced tea on the patio.
The property was a short walk from coffee, great restaurants and the beach. We would take our son in the wagon every morning to get coffee and then walk down to the boardwalk and play on the beach.
I look forward to staying at this property again!
# 681249 Diamond Beach, Galveston, Gulf Coast, Texas, USA, 3 BR, 2 BA, CONDO
We enjoyed the beautiful views and sandy beaches.
06/05/2015 - Our family of four had a wonderful time in Galveston visiting this Gulf Coast historic city. Of course the VRBO Bear traveled with us and had a very relaxing vacation at the Diamond Beach condo as well, which by the way exceeded our expectations. Our accommodation was clean and tastefully decorated. The owners didn’t miss anything making sure every room had all the comforts of home. Our favorite place to hang out was the ocean-front open concept kitchen area and living room, which extended over to an extra specious balcony. Views of the ocean, palm trees and passing by pelicans were everything we needed to relax.
As much as we loved spending time in the condo, cooking, playing and enjoying the views, we enjoyed using the beautiful amenities the property had to offer. Kids loved splashing at very clean pools, floating down the lazy river and of course the water slide. One of the benefits of the location, which we found extremely positive, was unlimited access to Galveston’s sandy beaches. Between the luxurious amenities and easy access to local attractions, it’s hard to imagine there is a better place to spend a vacation in Galveston.
We appreciate the owners leaving us information about where to shop, eat and what to see. The condo is located at the very end (west end) of Seawall Boulevard. We loved slow drives along the ocean while stopping for ice cream or other treats. We enjoyed the historic district featuring beautiful architecture, but also shops and cafes. We also had a free ferry ride, a tour of a retired submarine and a battleship, and visited the aquarium at Moody Gardens. But best of all, we were so happy returning each day to our condo, which made our vacation a perfect family time!
# 349937 Vista Las Palmas, Palm Springs, Central, Palm Springs, Deserts, California, USA, 6 BR, 6 BA, ESTATE
A fantastic home with an awesome pool!
06/04/2015 - Palm Springs is known for its beautiful weather, art, architecture, and its famous residents, past and present. Near the heart of this vibrant city, the Bear family had the fortune of staying at a true oasis in the warm California desert.
This gorgeous home was a perfect fit for the 12 members of the Bear family. Everyone was comfortable in the 6 wonderful bedrooms and sharing the 7 updated bathrooms. Our favorite was the master suite. It is HUGE! Not only are there TWO king beds, but also a fireplace, a couch, a desk, and a massive master bath. In addition, there are two sliding doors for easy access to a private seating area and the outdoor areas.
The relaxed mid-century style of the house is most evident in the living and dining areas. The living room furniture is modern yet comfy while the dining area is large enough to accommodate up to 16 people (or Bears). Everyone enjoyed the big LED HDTV and all the movies, along with the internet connectivity.
The well-designed high-end kitchen is amazing! The cupboards and drawers are all helpfully labeled so we could find all the kitchen tools we required. The two dishwashers were put to good use, as well as the handy stand-alone ice maker and wine chiller. There is plenty of room to prepare, serve and store all the delicious goodies you could ever bring or make.
The family favorite, by far, was the outdoor pool area. We all spent most of our time relaxing under the shade of the patio, on the beds by the pool, or in the awesome pool itself. We truly enjoyed floating in the pool, staring at the blue skies, the palm trees, and the gorgeous view of the nearby mountains. We spent each of our nights soaking in the spa or by the fire pit enjoying our time together.
Our trip to Palm Springs was truly memorable thanks to this fantastic home. Yours will be, too!

Smoky Mountain views from your door. Wow!!!
06/04/2015 - Mrs. Bear and I, along with our baby cub, were joined by my parents for a fun filled 5 days at this gorgeous cabin in the Smoky Mountains. This 3 bedroom cabin had every amenity we desired from the king sized beds, to the handy washer and dryer (especially great when traveling with children). The cabin was clean and well maintained and included amenities such as a pool table, theater room, popcorn machine, pack and play for the baby, and a very nice hot tub.
The location is ideally located about 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge, so we were able to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still be close enough to enjoy conveniences. We enjoyed a trip across the mountains to Cherokee, North Carolina, had fun at Dollywood, and ate at many of the delicious options such as the Dixie Stampede Dinner Show, The Old Mill, The Apple Barn, and Paula Deen’s new restaurant.
This home was perfect for our bear family Smoky Mountain vacation!
# 41093 Kapalua Golf Villas, Kapalua, West Maui, Maui, Hawaii, USA, 2 BR, 2 BA, VILLA
Epic sunsets nightly! Who needs anything more?
05/29/2015 - My vacation at the Kapalua Golf Villas was the most rewarding vacation I have ever taken. Upon my arrival, I immediately fell in love with the view. The tile patios, or Lanais as they say on the island, are perfectly situated on top of a hill overlooking Kapalua Bay and both the Island of Molokai and Lanai. Our villa faced west, which meant we had an epic sunset every night of our stay.
The villa was perfect for staying in and cooking the beautiful cuts of fish we found at the fish market in Lahaina. The kitchen was very well stocked and allowed for multiple people to cook. We enjoyed our easy-going breakfasts at the Gazebo Restaurant, where you can watch the waves roll in over a big plate of Hawaiian Fried Rice and Macadamia Pancakes. Leilani’s, Meriman’s, and Mama’s Fish House served great dinners and cocktails.
Both bedrooms are spacious have their own full bathrooms complete with walk in showers. The condo comes with a washer & dryer , Wi-Fi, cable, and a stereo.
The location of the villa has easy access to plenty of the island’s adventures. We snorkeled in Kapalua Bay and Honolua Bay, both sites only a stone’s throw away. The beautiful, neon coral in both of these quiet harbors attract a myriad of tropical fish, including the Humuhumunukunuku?puaa, Hawaii’s state fish. We hiked historic Iao Valley and took the drive to Haleakala Crater to watch the sun rise above the clouds at 10,000 feet. The Road to Hana was another favorite activity and by far one of the more beautiful drives on earth. The small towns of Paia and Lahaina are complete with cafés and restaurants, gift boutiques, art galleries, and enough Maui charm to make them worth visiting.

The beauty of Yellowstone and conforts of home.
05/27/2015 - While visiting Yellowstone we had the privilege of staying at this rental. We had the time of our life with the surroundings and the scenic views. Anyone who enjoys a nice view on top of the mountain would enjoy a vacation at this property. The owner of property has wonderful taste and the decorations reflect it nicely. They used a green moose theme, lots of fun and quite suitable for the local environment.
We were totally bowled over by the hospitality shown to us. The pantry was fully stocked and we even found medicines, office supplies, etc. For someone who likes cooking we found the grocery store Rocky’s (less than 5 miles away) has lot of variety. We loved the hot tub for tired bodies after a hectic day. Golf equipment was available for those who want to visit the nearby golf course.
Everything about this house was awesome. We would, without a doubt, rent from Diane and Robert again. In fact, my wife was so impressed with the property that she wants to come back every year!

Ahhhh, a nice swim after a day on the town!
05/27/2015 - Mrs. Bear, our four cubs and I joined extended family for a wonderful week-long family vacation at this beautiful Florida getaway. The 5 bedroom home had more than enough room for our group of 9 bears to spread out and feel comfortable, and plenty of welcoming gathering places to spend quality time together. The home is impeccably decorated and clean, and full of every convenience you could need for a family get together, including a high chair, baby gate and pack-and-play for our youngest cub. We especially enjoyed the first floor entertainment area, swimming in the sparkling pool just a few feet away from the canal on Lake Tarpon, playing many friendly games of billiards, and watching family movies together.
The location in Palm Harbor on Lake Tarpon offered convenient access to local grocery shopping and movie theaters, while also serving as a great home base for exploring the area. We enjoyed a cruise into the Gulf from the sponge docks in Tarpon Springs, and also took our cubs to the beach in Pass-a-Grille, the roller coasters at Busch Gardens, and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, home of Winter from the Dolphin Tale movies.
This home was perfect for our bear family Florida vacation!

Living like royalty at Grand Caribe in Belize.
05/24/2015 - We could not have been more pleased with our experience at the beautiful Grand Caribe. After booking our stay, I received an email from both the property owner (Nancy) and the Grand Caribe; they both are easy to communicate with and very quick to respond to any questions. Nancy sent me a very detailed email regarding the area, the resort, where to eat, what to see, how to see it, etc. - it felt like my very own Belize Guidebook. I can tell she really loves her condo, as she should.
The staff at Grand Caribe scheduled everything for us, from the plane ride from Belize City to San Pedro, the cab to pick us up from the airport and bring us to the resort, even down to stocking the kitchen with food and drinks upon arrival! Did I mention they do your laundry every day?
The second you walk in to the condo you feel like royalty, from the beautifully furnished living space to the sparkling new kitchen, you feel like you are in the lap of luxury! A few steps in, and you are staring straight at the beautiful view of the Caribbean. Not only are you looking right at the beautiful beach, with huge palm trees, you are also taking in the view of the HUGE salt water pool- which has a spectacular swim up bar with the friendliest staff one could hope for!
Both bedrooms are large, and both have their own full bathrooms. When walking in to the master you have a huge bed, with the cutest towel animals on them. The expansive master bath includes a huge whirlpool tub. The condo comes with Wi-Fi, cable, and a beautiful balcony with the most comfortable outdoor dining set - I read my book while drinking many a cup of coffee on that balcony in the mornings.
The island is so peaceful, the people living on the island are the kindest people, so eager to chat and educate you on their homeland. Get a golf cart at least for a day or two to explore- but there really isn’t much need to ever leave Nancy’s beautiful condo if you don’t want to. We spent most of our time at the pool, sipping delicious Pina Coladas and enjoying the view of the ocean.
Thank you for such a great stay, we will be back!

The perfect place to stay in Montego Bay!
05/23/2015 - The Lazy Laguna is the PERFECT Montego Bay vacation home! The house sits directly on the water where you can spend your mornings having a cup of coffee and watching the thousands of fish swim around the dock. You can also take a short walk or drive over to the Seawind Beach Club to swim in the pool or ocean, snorkel at the reef and have lunch or cocktails. Located off the busy main roads, but very close to great restaurants, shopping and more, we couldn’t have asked for a better, or more convenient, place to stay.
With a group of six, everyone had their own private space to retreat to at the end of a long, sunny day. This, of course, was after having dinner cooked and served by Cheffy, the private chef who can come over and prepare local delicacies during your stay. We said, why be indoors when you can eat every meal on the gorgeous patio overlooking the water? But when you are enjoying your time at home you’ll find it generously stocked with everything you need, from kitchen essentials to beach towels! Barbara, the on-site house staff, keeps the home spotless during your stay and provides you with fresh linens, beds made daily and anything else that will make your trip as relaxing as possible!
There are plenty of ways to relax at Lazy Laguna. Grab one of the many board games provided, sit on the dock and watch a late afternoon rainbow or sunset over the mountains, take a nap in the hammock or kayak around the lagoon. You can also enjoy the two community pools less than a minute walk from the home, play tennis on the tennis courts or just walk around the neighborhood!
When you want to venture out, go down to the nearby Craft Market or Hip Strip for some shopping and a meal overlooking the ocean. You can also take a chartered tour to nearby Ocho Rios to visit the beautiful Dunn’s River Falls and the Dolphin Cove.
With so much to see and do at the home and nearby, the Lazy Laguna was the perfect choice for our stay in Montego Bay.

This Key Largo condo is close to everything!
05/20/2015 - Our bear family was so pleased to walk into our charming, cozy condo on the bayside of Key Largo! We felt right at home watching Netflix on the Apple TV in the spacious living room with comfy couches. We had coffee each morning on the porch overlooking the boat dock.
The owners provided a pack and play and there was plenty of room in the large master bedroom to fit mom, dad and cub. Grandma Bear stayed in the other bedroom which was equipped with a double bed and a twin bed with a trundle.
The condo was in close driving distance to great dining – the Fish House (our favorite), the Key Lime Pie Factory (best in Key Largo), and Skippers (great for drinks). We took a quick day trip to Key West in order to visit the shops and see the sunset.
Our favorite part of the stay was the community amenities – the pools and the beach. The closest pool was a five minute walk past the boat slips, provided ample shade and was not crowded at all. The private community beach offered a nice shallow area with a sunning/diving platform for the adventurous. The water was great!

Enjoy the views with a morning cup of coffee.
05/10/2015 - While visiting Florida Tech, we had the perfect excuse to visit Universal Studios in Orlando. We stayed in this beautiful 2-bedroom condo, overlooking Lake Bryan during our trip. We brought 3 people, but we could easily have invited 5 more. There was plenty of room.
The mornings were lovely, and we yearned to take in the view with a cup of coffee on the balcony. But we just had to get to Harry Potter World, stat! It only took 15 minutes to drive to the park – so convenient.
After a day chasing away Dementors, taking the Hogwarts Express, and having our wands choose us, we loved spending our evenings in this wonderful vacation condo, sitting around the living room playing scrabble, and reminiscing about our day. It was easy to stay stocked with snacks and drinks with a market just across the street. We grabbed Starbucks on the way to the park every morning (it was at the end of our driveway), and stopped by the front desk at night to grab a DVD, or a new game to play.
Exhausted from all of our fun, we would collapse in the comfy beds each night, dreaming of chocolate frogs and Butter Beer. All in all a very successful visit to Universal – mostly due to our wonderful accommodations.

Enjoy the town or relax on your deck, the choice is yours.
05/10/2015 - We stayed at Beau Chateau over Mother’s Day weekend and had a wonderful time! The house is in a charming neighborhood and it had plenty of parking in the circle drive. The entrance is around the back and there’s a great deck with a boat slip on the bottom level.
Upstairs the kitchen is clean and new, stocked with everything we needed including coffee, creamer and sweetener! Such a nice touch. We found a great store right down the street that had a full deli and all the groceries we needed. We wound up going back to restock items 3 or 4 times so we appreciated having a store so close.
We spent most of our time either around the huge dining table off the kitchen or out on the main deck overlooking the bay. The main deck wraps around the front of the house and there’s plenty of room to sit and enjoy the weather. The neighbors were friendly and waved from their deck, and we even watched one of them pull up his crab trap which was a cool thing to see. At night the bay is lighted enough to see the fish swimming around.
The bedrooms are numerous and comfortable. Most had ceiling fans, and we all slept great. There were plenty of bathrooms and tons of fluffy white towels. We were pleasantly surprised to find organic, lovely smelling shampoos and conditioners and even lotion in every bathroom, something I would only expect in a hotel.
The best part about the house was the location. It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle that you can truly relax, but close enough that you can be in the middle of everything in about fifteen minutes. We spent the first two days exploring the beaches. There are three or four entries to the beach within two miles of the house, but we liked the one closest so much that we stuck with it. The beach was amazing and clean. We spent hours alternating between body surfing the waves and listening to music on the sand. It was blissful!
The last day of our stay we drove to the Pleasure Pier to explore. We took and old time-y picture, rode some rides, and enjoyed the views from the pier. There are many options for food within walking distance and we found a great spot for some delicious steak and seafood to wind down after all the fun.
When the time came, none of us wanted to leave Beau Chateau! We’d definitely rent here again.

A charming place to stay while touring D.C.
05/10/2015 - This beautiful house is wonderfully appointed with many thoughtful touches for visitors to Washington, D.C. Although I am a bear, I love to play tennis – luckily, racquets are provided for the tennis courts across the street. There are also several wonderful parks situated in and around the neighborhood.
The nearby Trader Joes offers a large selection of wine and honey (a bear’s favorite snack) and the rental’s small-but-charming kitchen is fully stocked with a variety of spices. The outdoor patio is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and read a book and the rest of the house is impeccably clean, comfortable and absolutely charming.
The neighborhood is quiet and tree-filled; mere steps away from Georgetown’s many restaurants and shops and a quick bus ride away from D.C.’s wonderful museums and attractions.
Caterina (the owner) and Jennifer (the property manager) were both incredibly courteous and provided a variety of recommendations for the area, including the best Italian restaurants and farmers markets. I would recommend this house to anyone traveling to Georgetown or the D.C. area, especially for those visiting Georgetown University or just enjoying the city!

The perfect place to stay and play!
05/02/2015 - How do you make a vacation in wonderful Galveston even better? By staying at this immaculate centrally located condo! My bear family and I had such a wonderful time, we were all sad to leave. This condo is perfect for families, or for any other traveler who enjoys a relaxing beautiful place to stay. We especially enjoyed the patio for drinking coffee and listening to the waves. When we were resting in the condo, we enjoyed all of the TV channels. This condo has literally everything we could think of. The bright décor was refreshing and appreciated. The closet off of the master room is so massive we were able to put our cub’s blow up bed in there so she could have her own room! The abundance of towels was hotel quality and it was nice having all of the extra amenities.
The gated entrance made the condo feel very safe and secluded. If you ever did need anything, there is a Walmart across the street.
Galveston is a lovely city with a wide array of attractions from the beach to the strand. We specifically enjoyed learning about all of the history that this city has to offer. The free ferry ride to Port Bolivar is always a plus! Galveston and the Sunrise Condo go together like sand and sunshine, a perfect pair!
# 107980 Mokuleia, North Shore Oahu, Oahu, Hawaii, USA, 1 BR, 1 BA, HOUSE
Enjoying this beautiful island retreat!
04/26/2015 - My husband and I spent a week in Honolulu, Hawaii. We arrived late in the evening, but Gina's instructions were clear and easy to follow. We had been provided us with a key-code to open the gate so we didn’t have to worry about keys throughout the trip. The North Shore Beach is just few blocks away and the relaxing sound of the ocean waves will help you get some of the best sleep you've had in your life.
The main living area has the comfy couch and we also had an eating area with table and chairs. For those of you who like to cook when traveling, you will really be very happy with the well-stocked kitchen. It had every size pot and pan that I could think of and plenty of utensils and tableware. Everything was of high quality. If you’re not interested in cooking there are plenty of restaurants just a few minutes away.
The master bedroom has the large king size bed which was excellent and the master bath has a nicely updated en-suite with tub and rainfall showerhead. It has soap, conditioner and other personal care items, including hair dryers and plenty of towels.
The patio has plenty of seating and a nice, big grill if you want to spend some time there. Additional features are the big private carport, laundry and a beautiful backyard.
This place has easy access to most of Oahu attractions. In summary, this is most thoughtful vacation rental I have ever experienced. Every need of a guest has been attended to and attention paid to every detail.

Just a short walk to the beach!
04/25/2015 - Mrs. Bear and I needed a little beach time with extended family. This amazing beach house just outside of Destin provided just that. Our own little Margaretville in paradise!
The 3 bedroom beach house was very nicely furnished in a fitting beach feel with plenty of little touches along the Margaritaville theme that gave the whole house a relaxing ambiance. There was plenty of room for all 5 adults and the 2 cubs we brought with us in the nicely furnished rooms. The home had ample parking for our 3 vehicles.
We absolutely loved the short walk to the beach so we could come and go as we pleased. The private beach made the experience very relaxing, unlike the more touristy and crowded nearby beaches in the area. Aside from the beach, our little bear’s favorite spot was the small pool and patio area below the house where he practiced his cannonballs. Daddy Bear loved being able to cook up delicious steaks on the new grill near the pool.
In the evenings we enjoyed lounging in the numerous chairs in the huge porch area, listening to waves crashing in the background. It was great to let the cubs roam free in the fenced in porch area complete with kid proof locks on the gates so we didn’t need to stress about them wandering off. We also took full advantage of the large dining table in the open floor plan living area with plenty of seating.
On nights when we didn’t feel like cooking or doing dishes we were only a short drive to a number of great local restaurants. When we needed a change from the beach life we could easily get to the nearby outdoor shopping area to pick up a gift, grab a coffee, or enjoy a delicious gelato. The home is only a short drive from Destin’s HarborWalk village filled with entertainment, shops, and restaurants right on the water.
All in all if you are looking for a nice place to get away from the fast paced life and to reconnect with family and friends then this is the house for you!
# 63444 Asheville, Smoky Mountains, North Carolina, USA, 2 BR, 2 BA, HOUSE
A beary comfy cabin in the woods!
04/14/2015 - Mrs. Bear and I recently spent a few days among the mountains in Asheville, and we agreed this cabin surrounded by trees was the perfect location. On day one, we drove up to a cute white picket fence lining the driveway, and we were greeted by cute flower gardens leading up to the porch. We were very excited that we would have our own private cabin. As we entered, we were blown away by how spacious a two-bedroom cabin could really be. There’s plenty of room for the whole family to mingle, and the master bedroom just seems to go on and on as you enter the sitting area and turn the corner.
Once we got settled in, we decided to check out the property. There’s a neat old barn that’s fun to explore, and lots of open space to stretch out my legs. The wrap-around porch has plenty of seating and a nice, big grill if you want to spend some time there. Unfortunately, we had a bit of rain, so we spent a lot of time inside. Thankfully, the gravel walkway made sure the mud stayed out of the house and out of the car.
Everything about the place was convenient and comfortable: on-site laundry, a big, spacious Jacuzzi tub, plenty of towels for the whole family, and easy access to most of Asheville’s attractions. A lot of Asheville’s highways can be winding and confusing, but getting to this vacation rental couldn’t have been easier. One exit and one turn got us to the front door without much effort.
We had such a great experience, and we can’t wait to get back to this comfy cabin in the woods!
# 51623 Private Homes, South, Old Town, Park City, Utah, USA, 2 BR, 2 BA, HOUSE
Everything you could need for a perfect vacation stay.
04/06/2015 - My husband and I went to Park City to visit family for the week and spend some time at the nearby ski resorts. Although our goal of the trip was to spend time outdoors and take advantage of the home’s excellent location in Old Town, we found ourselves hesitant to leave the well-appointed rental.
Park City is a historic mining town with a vibrant Main Street full of shopping, restaurants and entertainment. As we walked into 24 Daly, located at the top of Main Street, we found the town’s personality reflecting through the charming home.
After taking in the historic street view from the porch rocking chairs, you enter into a cozy den with a gas fireplace and comfortable seating for 5 (including a massage chair). From there, you can turn left into a reading room / bedroom with French doors and a curtain for privacy. It is appointed with convertible daybed and computer with printer (boarding passes ?). Or you can continue straight into the adjacent dining room and kitchen.
The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cookware, cooking supplies and spices. I would recommend seeing what is in stock before heading to the grocery store. Ample dishes and flatware were also available. We were delighted to find an array of complimentary Nespresso pods!
In the back of the home are the two bedrooms with upholstered walls that made for quiet, uninterrupted sleeping. In addition the luxurious bedding allowed for easy sleep after long days on the mountain. We were also happy to find an abundance of clean towels in the master armoire (comes in handy when utilizing the hot tub in the back).
The master has a nicely updated en-suite with tub and rainfall showerhead. The other bathroom is also well updated. Both come with high-end soap, shampoo, conditioner and other personal care items, including hair dryers.
Additional features are the two parking spaces (one of which is HEATED! = no shoveling) that are very valuable given your prime location and lack of public parking. A ski boot dryer is provided for your comfort. Board games, cards, Netflix, extensive cable, and a DVD collection provide ample evening entertainment.
In summary, this is most thoughtful vacation rental I have ever experienced. Every need of a guest has been attended to and attention paid to every detail.
# 374794 Paris Arrondissement 4, Paris, Ile-de-France (Paris Area), France, Europe, 2 BR, 2 BA, APARTMENT
So close to all the Paris attractions!
04/06/2015 - I was headed to Paris to see the sights, eat the food, and drink the wine. This property was in a perfect location to do all of that and more!
We were greeted by Barbara and her team as we entered the building. A cute elevator provides easy access to both apartments. Barbara and the team showed us the ropes and we were off!
Perfect for one or two people, the third floor apartment had everything we needed, wanted, and even dreamed! A private bathroom stocked with the necessities, a Murphy bed to easily pull down for the night, and a small but immensely functional kitchen to brew my morning coffee. If you prefer, you can go downstairs to the awesome restaurants and get your coffee there.
The fourth floor apartment had a very similar layout. One floor up and directly above the third floor apartment, the apartment was stocked with its own necessities. Equally clean and well-maintained, this apartment also came with a large flat screen TV that was mounted to the wall.
Both apartments had tables for dining, couches for leisure, WIFI for browsing, cable TV for watching, books for reading, and more. We definitely appreciated everything offered.
The best trait is the location! So close to attractions, like the Notre Dame Cathedral, on top of great food, and in the Marais district, we kept busy for days and, if given time, would still be exploring the area.
Many, many, many thanks, or should I say ‘Merci beaucoup, beaucoup, beaucoup’, to Barbara, her team, and the owner for allowing us to stay here. This property is highly recommended for your next trip to Paris!
