Swiss Family Robinson style vacation - perfectly tropical, secluded, and peaceful!
"We stayed here with a group of friends, 3 couples total and this place was perfect! This is truly off the beaten path with amazing views and a beautiful beach right out your doorstep. We hardly saw anyone while we were there and you can walk miles either direction on the beach without seeing anyone and with uninterrupted views of the Caribbean. There is lots of privacy and the rooms are very comfortable, all have an ocean view. We went in April which was perfect weather and the open air vibe of the place made it very comfortable day and night. Located in the Sian Ka'an biosphere it really is off the grid with solar power and no TV, internet, etc but still has comfortable modern conveniences like running water, hot showers and full kitchens. We did some day excursions to Tulum to see the ruins, a cenote, and ate at a couple of the restaurants on the hotel strip on the way to the house, but we spent most of our time at the house relaxing on the beach and playing cards, reading, swimming, etc. Bringing a vehicle is necessary to stay here and it takes about 45 minutes to trek into town but the remoteness is what lends Caphe Ha its charm. As to be expected in the middle of the biosphere, there is wildlife but it stays outside the rooms for the most part. I recommend bringing a flashlight as it gets very dark at night and its necessary to see when walking between buildings but also makes for awesome star gazing. Roberto and Manuela are the caretakers who live on the property and were extremely helpful with anything we needed. And the best part of it all was truly Manuela's amazing cooking. Anyone who does not hire her to cook meals during their stay will sorely regret it as it is the best food we have ever tasted (and that's coming from a bunch of foodies with high standards)! She cooked two main meals a day for us and also helped keep the place clean, so worth it! Overall we left refreshed, well fed, and content. Caphe Ha is the perfect tropical getaway for anyone wanting a relaxing vacation off the beaten path spiced with a little adventure."

"Had a great stay for a few nights in this very well taken care of condo. Very spacious with all of the amenities right there. Perfect for ski in ski out with dining/entertainment right at the base of the mountain. Tom and Jean were great to deal with and very helpful. Thank you and hope to be back! Eric"

"We just got back from a 10 day stay at this great condo. It had everything we needed. It is just as great as the pictures show it to be. I have booked other properties by photos & when you get there it is nothing like the photos, this is not the case here. Thank you Scott for being so flexible with us and for answering all my questions. The condo has just about everything you need, the kitchen is well stocked with equipment, plates, glasses etc. The bed was very comfortable & there is lots of storage. There is some road noise if you have the doors open but complete quiet with them closed. I would have liked a lounger out on the lanai & a blind on the kitchen window but those are the only changes I would make. The beach & main pool are a good 5 minute walk down hill from the condo. But you can drive down & park right beside them if you want. The main pool has a great kitchen area where you can take your food & put it in a fridge & even a BBQ to cook on down there. There is a smaller pool very close, it is less than a minute away & we spent a lot of time there. The only down fall of this location is there is very little within close walking distance as far as shopping, dining or cocktails are concerned. You do need a car to stay at this property if you want to eat out or go for drinks. Over all this was a great place to stay & I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in this area."
