  • Honeymoon Villa is Shangri La

"Thank you Jennifer for sharing your beautiful Villa, we really felt like it was our own home, and after 3 weeks we did not want to leave. The villa and courtyard are just perfect and so private. Budi , we could just go on forever; he took exceptional care of us. All his recommendations were gold, every place he suggested was great. Make sure you ask him to arrange a couples massage with Wayan and Mardi, just amazing! (ask Wayan about his pearls, great quality). Pleo is just amazing, his attention to detail and cleanliness is magnificent, our villa looked like a showroom every day, and his fresh fruit, fruit smoothies and bacon and egg breakfast are superb. Shopping in Candidasa was a pleasure, hassle free shopping. Eating in Candidasa is fantastic, we were spoilt for choice. Le 48, Vincent's, La,Rouge, Rendezvous, and Joglo; Do a cooking class at Le Zat as well as eat there. Even the Bali Santi cafe is great for an afternoon drink and quite meal, not to mention the great view. Budi can arrange just about anything; he may take you to his village Tenganan, which is the oldest village in Bali, amazing, or he can hire you a motorbike, go snorkeling and fishing, plus he will take you to some amazing sites around the east of Bali. I thought Shangri La was fictional before we came here. See you next year, Jo-Anne and Murray, Sydney, Australia."

  • very nice

"Very nice place to stay. Had to ask for cleaning some of the time. Penthouse was great!!! Candidasa is a nice town however a big disappointment was the way the keep prices to high in restaurants for tours etc. Other places like Sanur or Lovina are pricewise much nicer to stay."

  • Good Times at the "Orchid" - Feb. 1 to Mar. 29, 2014

"From the moment we stepped through the front doorway at Margaret's "Orchid" apartment at the Bali Palms Resort, we knew we'd made the right choice to spend our two month winter get-away there. The "Orchid" had everything we had hoped for and more: spacious and nicely appointed ground floor rooms, with high ceilings; two private patio areas furnished with umbrella tables and chairs; and a large and beautiful swimming pool, all serviced by an exceptional staff. Additionally, a great bar and restaurant are located along one side of the pool just steps away. We really liked the apartment's convenience to all the resort "action," yet we had the feeling of privacy. The commercial part of town is a street lined with shops and restaurants, all within easy walking distance. When walking isn't appropriate, due to time of day, the agenda, etc., local transport is available right in front of the resort. The Bali Palms operates a free shuttle between their two properties, each at opposite ends of town with several stops along the way. It was very convenient and we used it all the time. We found no need for a rent-a-car, and we travelled all around East Bali. For an added Balinese experience, we got around on the "Bemo," an open-sided bus/van with bench seats. It was cheap and an easy way to visit the nearby towns and villages. One of the best things about staying at the "Orchid" was the convenience of the location for taking day trips to explore the island by land or water. But when not "out and about," it was fun to just hang out by the pool with other guests, watch and listen to the waves, and sip an exotic drink! Thank you Margaret, and all the Bali Palms staff, for making our stay so memorable!"

Candi Dasa Travel Tips

Candidasa Vacation Rentals: Paradise Found

Travel the eastern coast of Bali to the charming town of Candidasa. Nestled on lagoon waters and protected sands, this sleepy village offers respite from the worries of your days. Tropical climates and sea breezes will invite; ancient temples will humble; and your every moment will be surrounded by scenery without equal. With Candidasa vacation rentals, you will easily learn what it means to greet perfection.

Candidasa Accommodation: Close to the Past

Discover an abundance of beauty with Bali resorts. Wake each morning to sheltered coastlines and palm sways. Meet the dawn from the comforts of a rental delight, with the modern tucked happily inside the magical. Let your family relax from their Candidasa accommodation before journeying into the living history beyond.

Visit breathtaking Tirta Gangga, a magnificent palace filled with labyrinths and stone; the gardens will enchant and the origins will thrill. Drive then to the Lempuyang Temple, with its forest views and reputed holy waters. Hurry to nearby Jalan Teuku Umar, where offerings of shops, sidewalk vendors and local wares will provide afternoons of enjoyment (and glimpses into long since perfected craftsmanship). To experience the culture of Bali, let the tiny village of Tenganan Pegringsingan amaze you. There you will find the customs of old still fully realized; including the strange Leaf Duel, where men battle with foliage. And, when you wish to simply rest, indulge in the shores of Candidasa itself. This little hamlet will be a true retreat, and a tribute to the times before frantic was considered the only philosophy.

Bali Resorts: Peace at Last

Exploration can be serene. History can be elegant. And holidays can be without the too eager distractions. Candidasa vacation rentals allow you and your family the rare chance to be surrounded with the past, all without sacrificing the present. Revel in the quiet and let Bali resorts lead you to wonder. You'll have a destination worth remembering.
