  • OUR WOW MOMENT!

"We arrived at Villa Campuhan in the afternoon and were immediately shown to Villa Lumbung. From the moment we stepped through the gate, we wereblown away by the sheer beauty of this place. The setting is truly magical and we kept pinching ourselves to make sure we weren't dreaming. Villa Lumbung was pretty as a picture and we were quite amazed by how big it was. Perfect for the two of us. The room was beautifully decorated with windows framing the most beautiful views you could hope for. We soon went exploring and found lush, very well kept grounds, a tranquil pond, a beautiful pool a stones throw from the ocean. And then Villa Campuhan-the communal room for relaxing and meals. What a sight - no wonder it featured on the front of a magazine. From this moment on, we were in the lap of luxury but completely without pretension. We had our breakfast and dinner here each day and the view was to die for. The meals were of a very high standard - no menu for dinner, just whatever the staff bought in the local market that day. Lunch was chosen from the menu and was taken on the picnic table right beside the ocean. The staff here are absolutely terrific. As is often the case, the staff can make or break a property and here, they are a real asset. Ketut, the manager, was a pleasure to deal with and assisted us with booking a driver/guide to take us around the local area. Blakey was a great driver/guide, a very warm and friendly person, and we certainly recommend his services. The gardens were immaculately maintained and we saw many staff constantly tending to the gardens. The chefs/kitchen staff/room attendants/gardeners were all very friendly whilst maintaining a professional standard. We were completely content to spend most days by the pool. The weather was perfect and as this is the beginning of the season, only two of the villas were reserved, so we often had the place to ourselves. Everything about this property is perfect. The individual villas and the communal room were beautifully decorated and the location outstanding. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The only suggestion I would have would be to have your own transport if you want to do some sightseeing as it is a little remote (local village worth a visit too). It was about 30 minutes to Candi Dasa if you feel the need to dine out - we only did on one occasion and even though we enjoyed the meal, we couldn't wait to get back to Villa Campuhan! Thank you Barbara!"

  • Great staff and everything as advertised

"It had been a while since the last review on this property so I was naturally a bit skeptical. But the place is as advertised, both written and in photos. Spacious large rooms, clean, well maintained inside and outside, and attentive staff (cook, housekeeper, gardner, and property manager). We were a family of 10 on a 50th wedding anniversary reunion for my in-laws. We had a very relaxing stay for 6 nights here over Christmas 2013. The cook did a great job with breakfast making creative western and Indonesian dishes. On request, she cooked lunch for us twice and it was delicious. The massage girls arrived every morning on time for our daily $8 per hour per person massage and they were very good. Nengah Wirayasa, the property manager and responder to all emails was a man of his word. The property itself is tucked away behind the Villa Lumbung hotel, so it is a 5 min walk to the main road, and a 15 min walk to The Breeze (Hotel Samaya) and the Seminyak Lodge and Hotel. Calling a meter taxi to the villa was not a problem. Worth staying at in Seminyak. Highly recommended."

  • Relaxing honeymoon in Bali Private Villa

"My wife and I traveled to Bali for our honeymoon and chose this amazing villa as our "relax and unwind" half of our vacation (we later traveled to Ubud for more sightseeing). We had been looking at lots of the fancy resorts in the area but this villa offered the seclusion, the staff, the pool and the ocean and at a much more affordable price. It was the absolute perfect choice for us and we loved every minute of our stay at Banyu Biru. We felt absolutely taken care of by the amazing staff. Everything was wonderfully coordinated from our pick up at the airport by our driver to the delicious meals and excursions - we felt very well looked after. The breakfasts and dinners were exceptional! We ordered lobster two of the 4 nights and it might have been some of the best I have ever had. Lunches were just ok I would steer clear of the "Western" dishes. The villa itself is gorgeous. All the rooms were so beautiful it felt like a waste staying in just one. But the master bedroom is gorgeous with its floor to ceiling wall to wall windows allowing you to wake up to breathtaking sunrises and recline to stunning sunsets. We didn't want to leave the gorgeous property most of the time but it was just a quick drive to a beautiful beach where we spent the day relaxing and swimming. It was an easy drive to Uluwatu to see the temple and although we tried to go the Rock bar and didn't get in, even if we had I would say it wasn't worth it. The massages we had at the house were amazing. I had both of mine in the bale overlooking the ocean and it was quite the experience. We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking to get away."

Indulge yourself with a favored game at the Nusa Dua Golf and County Club, often touted as the most challenging course in the entire country. Chart a tour to nearby Serangan Island, an impressive conservation land for turtles and their hatchlings (the kids will adore being able to feed the other assorted birds and reptiles). Then end each day by simply enjoying the local scenery. Its grandeur is unequaled.

Don't regret another holiday; don't waste another moment. Instead let Nusa Dua vacation rentals keep you close to all you crave. Seek out the wondrous, not just the mundane. With Bali resorts, you and your family will waltz away from the hectic city sounds and find true relaxation.
