  • A luxurious, romantic and serene escape!

"We had the most amazing 4 days - the perfect end to a 3 month holiday in Australia and Bali. The accommodation was so lovely, the staff anticipated every need and the food was truly exceptional. We enjoyed the communal lounge area during rainstorms and soaked in the tepid water of the lovely infinity pool. We kind of felt like we were in a movie - so unique was the architecture. We didn't have a car - we don't recommend driving in Bali! - but it was easy to procure a driver for a wee bit of exploring. What an amazing honeymoon spot or destination wedding! Thank you!"

  • Ubud Treasure

"While at first it was very difficult for us to send payment via bank transfer, those initial fears became completely unfounded. Not being able to pay with visa was a concern; heck, the whole world deals with visa! What we discovered through this experience was that we were dealing with warm, friendly, down-home people in Ketut and her staff. The payment method was a reflection of the care and meticulous detail that was invested in ensuring a vacation second to none. As we had stayed in Seminyak for a week, the Villa Tirta's driver, Ariya, picked us all up and transported us to the waiting luxury of this beautiful villa about 15 minutes outside of Ubud. Luxury was an understatement as we were completely awed upon arrival! The grounds are meticulously kept: the organic garden, the fabulous pool and its decking, the family temple with accompanying daily offerings ceremonies, etc. The villa itself is beyond luxurious: a spacious, clean and extremely well-stocked kitchen, three large beautiful bedroooms with fans and A/C and a large inviting dining area. The upstairs bedroom complete with a huge balcony / terrace was where my wife and I started our day with coffee and tea; it was an excellent getaway in itself for yoga meditation, internet browsing, etc. Ariya, our driver was so accommodating as he waited to take us wherever we wanted to go. Daily trips to Ubud or day-long excursions were thoroughly enjoyed in the air conditioned comfort of his spacious van. Illuh, Petu and the rest of the staff ensured that our breakfasts were always scrumptious and prepared us for a day of activity or leisure. The traditional western breakfasts or the wonderful pineapple, coconut or banana crepes were mouth watering! Dinners were also available by Illuh and the girls upon demand; they were definitely the best meals we had in Bali from the gado-gado, to the chicken satay and pork, fish and chicken dishes to the vegetarian dishes - there was something for everyone in our group. There is absolutely no doubt in our minds that we would return to this villa if we ever planned another trip to Bali. The staff of the villa Tirta Indah treated us like family and facilitated one of the most enjoyable vacations ever!"

  • Loved it

"We loved it here. Ubud was our last denstination after three weeks in Bali and Nusa Lembogan and the Gilis. We previously stayed in Sanur ( which we hated, btw), so we were much relieved to discover this apartment was everything we hoped it would be. The apartment itself is quite large with a comfy high quality bed. The kitchen area made it possible to have our breakfast and lunches and even occassionally dinners in. A well stocked grocery store is just a short walk. The pool was lovely, and a nice respite from the heat. But really the grounds are breathtaking. There is a temple within the compound, and the tropical foliage is well tended. The whole place was just peaceful. It is a bit of a walk to the main area of Ubud, but taxis are practically always right outside the compound, and cheap. There is a restaurant next door that has great bbq ribs- we ate there twice, so if you don't feel like schlepping into town, there are many restaurants to close from right nearby. The housekeeper that came everyday was so warm and always smiling- it seems she can just about arrange anything you want- a driver, your laundry done, a massage ( there's a lot of spas close by). I really recommend you stay here if Ubud is in your travel plans, you will love it."
