  • A fantastic Villa in Seminyak

"Absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back. All of us were very impressed with this amazing spacious Balinese styled villa. It has everything you need, for a great holiday. The front terrace section has a comfy seating area, where you can watch the day go by, read or lounge around and chat with friends. The media room was fantastic, well decked out and great sound system. Mezzaine floor has a living area, with TV, DVD and Xbox, plus 2 extra single beds. It provides a great separate area, that ensures you are not all living on top of each other. 4 large a/c bedrooms, all with king size comfy beds & ensuites. The garden was exquisite and the pool was beautiful, my children lived in the pool, for our 3 week stay. The team of people looking after the villa were very helpful, friendly and quietly in the background but very quick to assist, if you needed them. Thank you, Nyoman & Sri, you helped make our stay one to remember. The location is great close to numerous dining places, Delicious Onion, La Sal, Mades Warung, Buzz, Lusteri, JP's Warung Club, Mix, Warung Ocha, Taco Bill, Menu, Gado Gado... Plus close enough to eat at all the great places on Jalan Oberoi. Or shop at the Bali Deli and cook your own, the kitchen was very well appointed and easy to use. Warung Aldo has delicious food, a wicked range of Pizza's, which they deliver to the villa. Great for lunches by the pool. Good spas are also close by Prana, Spa Bali, Private Spa Wellness. An easy 5 minute walk to the beach, grab a drink and watch the sunset or play soccer. Absolutely great villa, an experience enjoyed by all of us."

  • Delightful

"What an extraordinary property. Staying here gives one the opportunity to experience the lifestyle and pace of Bali living at it's best. My experience of staying at Villa Joglo was superior in every sense from the care of the staff to the beauty and solitude of the property to the very personal attention afforded by the owner in his providing support and information to assist in planning my trip to Bali. Look beyond a hotel and see Bali in a new perspective."

  • Amazing in every sense.

"I noticed one of your reviewers saying it was the best vacation he had ever had with his family. This is exactly the same thing I've been saying since I returned from Bali. Firstly the house. Large, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Our family spent days lazing in and by the pool. Everywhere you look is simply stunning. Bedrooms and bathrooms are gorgeous, outdoor indoor showers in two of the rooms. Service was impeccable from Sudapta and Desi (our cook and housekeeper). We also had a security guard at night and a gardner during the day. Little things like a local phone supplied with the manager's number so we could contact him at any time whenever we needed anything was a great touch. Activities which Ketut (the manager) organised for us included a sightseeing shopping tour, snorkeling (magnificent) and dolphin watching on an outrigger. I would recommend this for a family or a group of friends absolutely. You will have a beautiful stay, eat well and be very well looked after."

Bali Travel Tips

Stay in Paradise with Bali Vacation Rentals

Bali is considered one of the most exotic holiday destinations in the world. The natural beauty of this tropical island, the friendly locals and the great cuisine make this a place that visitors choose to return to again and again. The towering rainforest, covered mountains, paddy fields, craft villages and palm-fringed beaches offer something for everyone.

Although the island is fairly small—you can drive around it in a day—there are many different aspects to enjoy, from enchanting temples and the mesmerizing local lion dance to amazing beaches, dramatic surf and some of the most vivid sunsets anywhere. Despite its popularity as a tourist resort destination, Bali thankfully retains its individual character and culture. Most of the people of Bali are Hindu and you will see many roadside shrines decorated with tiny offerings of rice or flowers.

Great Reasons to Choose Bali Vacation Rentals

The easy option is to book a hotel in Bali but you are much more in touch with the island and its culture when staying in a local villa accommodation. Rather than being surrounded by European architecture and English voices, wake up to sea views and the sound of birdsong from your own private terrace. A villa is usually far more spacious than a hotel room and often has a private swimming pool. Eating out is cheap and easy in Bali. Rather than being obliged to eat at an all-inclusive hotel, with a vacation rental it is easy to eat somewhere different every day, sampling local food wherever you happen to find yourself.

Those looking for a romantic, peaceful vacation will appreciate the privacy of a private villa. The standards of Bali accommodation are surprisingly high and often come with maid service for a truly laid-back vacation.

Things to do in Bali

Snorkeling and diving are the obvious activities to enjoy on Bali but the island has many unique attractions too. Try some of the authentic local beauty treatments and massages. Head for the hot springs set in tropical gardens, or try am herbal “lulur” body scrub, traditionally performed before a wedding. It will make your body sing!

Explore the inland areas and you will discover colorful Hindu temples and monuments such as the “Garuda Wisnu Kencana,” a sculpture of the goddess Vishnu riding a mythical Garuda bird. Go trekking in the Bali Barat National Park, home of leopards, buffalo and Bali starlings—the world’s rarest birds.

Destination Weddings and Honeymoons in Bali

Choosing a destination wedding in Bali makes great economic sense. For little more than the cost of a honeymoon, you can have a romantic wedding barefoot on the beach, surrounded by your closest family and friends. Helicopter weddings are a novelty or allow a waterfall backdrop for your ceremony.

Bali is the perfect place to relax in the sunshine and simply enjoy the company of your partner. Choose a luxury villa with hammocks, a private pool and a shady terrace. You can read or cool off in the pool during the day and drink champagne beneath the stars after dark. Bali is a very popular destination with younger guests and couples.

Getting to Your Bali Villas

Bali’s airport is usually listed as Denpasar, the name of the island’s capital city. Fly into the international Ngurah Rai Airport and in less than an hour, you can be stretched out in the sun at your Bali vacation villa. There are regularly scheduled direct flights from Australia, Amsterdam, London, Los Angeles, Frankfurt and Kuala Lumpur among other international hubs.

Bali Accommodation in all Seasons

The weather in Bali is warm all year-round with temperatures between 20 and 33 C (68 to 93 F). From December to March, the monsoon season can bring some short but heavy showers, usually at night. The dry season is from June to September, when humidity is low. During this season, it is cooler in the evenings and you may need a light jacket at higher altitudes.
