  • A great villa in a great location!

"We (couple) stayed in the villa for 5 nights in July. The villa provides very comfortable accommodation and is well placed to explore the areas around, including central Ubud, on foot, while being far enough removed to provide peace and tranquility. Plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. The villa is located high on a ridge with great views in all directions. Ibu Putu, Ketut, Wayan and family looked after us very well, including pick up and drop off at the airport, a day trip by car, and breakfast every morning. Not to mention carrying our bags up the stairs! All up, we can totally recommend the villa, its location, and the support given from the time you arrive at the airport until you leave."

  • Pure relaxation

"We were very lucky to spend 5 nights in this very luxurious villa. Looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and everyday life...this was the perfect escape. The indoor space is large and very refreshing and such a welcome respite from the cramped hotels we have experienced on other getaways. My husband and I loved the 2 outdoor balconies. We could choose to lie on the day beds and soak up the sea breeze, all undercover to protect us from the beating sun or the occasional afternoon rain...or we could go up to the private rooftop deck and lie on the sun lounges or sit in the huge Jacuzzi with a view of the entire coast. Our adult daughter loved her own space with private ensuite and took advantage of being able to catch up on much needed sleep. She especially loved the onsite spa and had several treatments during our stay. The view is spectacular and it was a pleasure to sit and eat breakfast and watch the ocean and the passing ships. We had the option to order room service but took advantage of the kitchen to make our own breakfast so that time just passed by in an unhurried and peaceful way. There are several great restaurants located along the road from the villa and we took advantage of the resort shuttle to drop us off . After dinner we would have a leisurely walk back adding to the restful feel of our days. We left the villa truly relaxed and reinvigorated and thank Jennie and Dennis for sharing their beautiful villa with us."

  • Whitney Bungalow is a Beauty

"My husband and I just returned from two weeks at Whitney Bungalow and had a fabulous stay. Made, the owner, was welcoming and assisted with various travel needs. Her friendly husband drove us for sightseeing tours at reasonable prices. The bungalow is traditionally Balinese with indoor, outdoor living both comfortable and inviting. The pictures accurately capture the spirit of the home surrounded by blooming foliage and rice fields. The pool was refreshing and a great size to do laps. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained providing abundant privacy. The location of the bungalow was easy walking distance to the market on beautiful trails. There is a tranquil yoga studio in the vicinity as well as an excellent vegan restaurant. There are several other enticing restaurants and good shops within walking distance plus many friendly people along the path. Whitney Bungalow is a magical environment where you can enjoy the best of Bali."

Bali Travel Tips

Stay in Paradise with Bali Vacation Rentals

Bali is considered one of the most exotic holiday destinations in the world. The natural beauty of this tropical island, the friendly locals and the great cuisine make this a place that visitors choose to return to again and again. The towering rainforest, covered mountains, paddy fields, craft villages and palm-fringed beaches offer something for everyone.

Although the island is fairly small—you can drive around it in a day—there are many different aspects to enjoy, from enchanting temples and the mesmerizing local lion dance to amazing beaches, dramatic surf and some of the most vivid sunsets anywhere. Despite its popularity as a tourist resort destination, Bali thankfully retains its individual character and culture. Most of the people of Bali are Hindu and you will see many roadside shrines decorated with tiny offerings of rice or flowers.

Great Reasons to Choose Bali Vacation Rentals

The easy option is to book a hotel in Bali but you are much more in touch with the island and its culture when staying in a local villa accommodation. Rather than being surrounded by European architecture and English voices, wake up to sea views and the sound of birdsong from your own private terrace. A villa is usually far more spacious than a hotel room and often has a private swimming pool. Eating out is cheap and easy in Bali. Rather than being obliged to eat at an all-inclusive hotel, with a vacation rental it is easy to eat somewhere different every day, sampling local food wherever you happen to find yourself.

Those looking for a romantic, peaceful vacation will appreciate the privacy of a private villa. The standards of Bali accommodation are surprisingly high and often come with maid service for a truly laid-back vacation.

Things to do in Bali

Snorkeling and diving are the obvious activities to enjoy on Bali but the island has many unique attractions too. Try some of the authentic local beauty treatments and massages. Head for the hot springs set in tropical gardens, or try am herbal “lulur” body scrub, traditionally performed before a wedding. It will make your body sing!

Explore the inland areas and you will discover colorful Hindu temples and monuments such as the “Garuda Wisnu Kencana,” a sculpture of the goddess Vishnu riding a mythical Garuda bird. Go trekking in the Bali Barat National Park, home of leopards, buffalo and Bali starlings—the world’s rarest birds.

Destination Weddings and Honeymoons in Bali

Choosing a destination wedding in Bali makes great economic sense. For little more than the cost of a honeymoon, you can have a romantic wedding barefoot on the beach, surrounded by your closest family and friends. Helicopter weddings are a novelty or allow a waterfall backdrop for your ceremony.

Bali is the perfect place to relax in the sunshine and simply enjoy the company of your partner. Choose a luxury villa with hammocks, a private pool and a shady terrace. You can read or cool off in the pool during the day and drink champagne beneath the stars after dark. Bali is a very popular destination with younger guests and couples.

Getting to Your Bali Villas

Bali’s airport is usually listed as Denpasar, the name of the island’s capital city. Fly into the international Ngurah Rai Airport and in less than an hour, you can be stretched out in the sun at your Bali vacation villa. There are regularly scheduled direct flights from Australia, Amsterdam, London, Los Angeles, Frankfurt and Kuala Lumpur among other international hubs.

Bali Accommodation in all Seasons

The weather in Bali is warm all year-round with temperatures between 20 and 33 C (68 to 93 F). From December to March, the monsoon season can bring some short but heavy showers, usually at night. The dry season is from June to September, when humidity is low. During this season, it is cooler in the evenings and you may need a light jacket at higher altitudes.
