    "Being from Seattle and booking an apartment in Israel, naturally we were skeptical to book an apartment so far away and out of the Country. Working with Dor made all the difference in the world. Dor was very accommodating and removed any fears we had about the online reservation. The apartment was wonderful and very comfortable for our 2 week stay. 3 bedroom and 3 bathrooms a large kitchen, dining room, living room with flat screen tv and so much more. The location of the apartment was wonderful too. We walked to the Old City and the shook several times. If you like sushi, Sushi Rechavia is about a block away. This was a very memorable trip and well worth it. Thank you Dor for all your hospitality!!!"

  • Great month-long base in Jerusalem

    "We made this apartment our home for a month when our daughter got married in March 2015. It was perfect for us. I’ll try not to repeat what other reviewers have said, but to add details. Hama’aravim is a pedestrian lane. Car access is blocked from Agron Street by barricades at the delivery entrance to the Waldorf, which served us well as a pull-over spot for loading/unloading passengers, baggage, etc. The lane leads to a large, pretty garden courtyard for the King David apartments which provides an alternate route to King David Street and the YMCA (I used the gym there). The location was central for sightseeing and restaurants. We went out nearly every night by foot to eat nearby, usually on Shlomtsiyon Ha’Malka Street, which provided better variety and quality than the restaurants in the nearer Mamilla Mall. Besides the Old City, we walked through Moshe Yemen, German Colony and Mea Shearim/Ben Yehuda Street (the last two with taxi assist one direction). The Waldorf construction is long completed, but now there is work on a new apartment building next door; noise level was ok but should improve when the project is done. No work is done on Shabbat or during the whole week of Pesach. The laundry machines were better than what we usually get in Europe (the washing machine can be set for a 30 minute load and the dryer dries within a reasonable time). The spacious, bright living/dining room with its high ceilings, large windows and access to the balcony was a cheerful place to gather and relax for family and visitors. It also had plenty of room for the drying rack when the outdoor patio was too cold or damp. Sharon and Perry continue to be helpful and delightful. For example, Sharon met us at the apartment to explain how everything worked, and Perry arranged for us to pay remotely for a parking meter so that we didn’t have to get up early one morning. We expect to be returning to Israel as our daughter has made her home there with her husband and hope to be able to return to this great apartment on Hama’aravim."

  • Abu Tor Rental for Couple

    "This two room rental is perfect for a single or couple. I rented it for my parents who were visiting Jerusalem for 10 days. There is one bedroom with a double bed, and another room that is a living room/kitchen with a pull-out sofa. The apartment has a patio area with a private entrance that opens from the park. The owner keeps the place in very good shape. Everything was clean and good working order - including AC/Heater machines in each room; boiler, fridge, cable tv, internet, etc. It's perfect for anyone looking to spend a few days in Abu Tor; adjacent to a park in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance from Cinematec, Old Train Station, Emek Refaim."
