  • Wow! Wonderful place...Excellent hosts...

"Stayed for a week. The apartment is just as beautiful as the pictures. We had a hard time dragging ouselves away from the lounge chairs and the pool. Incredible views of Tel Aviv by day and by night. Ron and Shoshi are wonderful people and excellent hosts...they are there when you need them, and not there when you don't. They went out of their way to make our stay perfect...Always willing to accommodate any special requests. Our young adult children joined us and we had a great family time. Pool was impeccably kept, and the lighting at night throughout the expansive deck was just great. Location couldn't be better. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, 24 hour supermarket across the street, and close to wonderful restaurants...try the Mex & Co Mexican place around the corner on Ben Yehuda st...great burritos and margaritas. All in all a great one-of-a-kind luxurious apartment, in a great location, with great hosts! Thank you...looking forward to seeing you both again...."

"I stayed in this apartment with my wife and 4 kids and we had an absolutely fantastic holiday. The apartment is lovely and spacious with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and the apartment complex is very secure with an excellent swimming pool and great access to the main areas of Netanya and within easy reach of Herzilya and Tel Aviv."

  • Beautiful, clean and updated apartment in convenient location

"Our family of four stayed in this lovely apartment for a Shabbat weekend (Thursday night to Sunday). We found it to look exactly like the pictures - clean and neat! The beds were comfortable; the heat worked and there was even cable TV and internet. There was ample parking in the neighborhood and we found the location to be excellent for what we wanted; we could walk to the Old City, to worship services at Kol HaNeshama and to friends for lunch in Baka, as well as shopping and eating on Emek Refaim. Iris, the owner, was a delight to deal with and very responsive. She was out of town, but her daughter, with whom we dealt directly, was polite, warm and accessible. This is the first time we have rented a vacation property like this and we found it to be a very good experience. There were a couple of things I wish I knew in advance: 1) While this is a kosher kitchen, it is dairy/parve. When we brought in meat for Shabbat dinner, we used aluminum tins to cook in and paper plates and plastic silverware. The kitchen is not equipped for both milk and meat. There is a plata to heat/keep food warm over Shabbat. 2) There is a cooktop stove and a microwave, but not an oven. 3) We had to supply everything except for toilet paper and liquid soap, such as paper towels, aluminum foil and spices (there is salt and pepper). It was amazing how easy it was to work around these things ... I poached salmon on the stove instead of baking it and we bought prepared food at Machane Yehuda for Friday dinner, so all I had to do was heat it up (which worked great on the plata). We would definitely stay here again!"

  • A wonderful location, definetely will stay here again !

"Wonderful location and Gilla, the owner, is a very friendly, attentionate and knowledgeable person! We REALLY appreciate the fruits, cheese, eggs , etc in the kitchen, these were really helpful at our arrival :-). The house is spotless, the amenities and appearance are exactly as in the photos. We were completely charmed by the beauty of Ein Karem, and Gilla's house is a hidden gem! We decided to come again and visit this wonderful country! Thanks Gilla so much for your warm welcome!!! Shalom from France"

Israel Travel Tips

Getting to Israel Vacation Rentals

The main entry point into Israel is the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. Technically, the airport is located 12 miles southeast of the city but there is good access provided by public transportation and private taxis. There are also airport shuttles operated by the national airline. The airport hosts frequent commercial flights from most major cities in Europe and Africa. When traveling to Israel, you need to be aware that they have very strict security measures. Expect delays upon arrival and to have your bags thoroughly searched. When checking in for your flight home, allocate an extra hour for security checks. Israel also has two major seaports and many people arrive in Israel as part of a Mediterranean cruise. Ashdod and Haifa are the main cruise ports; however, smaller vessels may be able to dock at the marinas in Tel Aviv and Eilat.

Visitors to Vacation Apartments in Israel

Israel holds great significance for three of the major world religions, namely Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Many people from their various religions make pilgrimages to Israel, in particular Jerusalem, each year. There are many historical sites that hold cultural significance and are genuinely interesting to visit. It is a country that blends ancient traditions and history with a more modern culture. The cities of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are examples of this contrast. Israel also has some excellent beaches along its Mediterranean coastline. Sun lovers flock to the beaches and warm climate in the summer months.

Major Sightseeing Attractions near Israel Lodging

Depending on where you are staying in Israel, there are many sightseeing attractions. The old city of Jerusalem, the Dome of the Rock and the Western Wailing Wall are three of the country's most famous landmarks. Of particular interest to Christian travelers are a number of the historical sites in Jerusalem. There is the Stations of the Cross which mark various points along the road where Christ carried the cross to the outskirts of the city. Then there is also the Garden of Gethsemane and the tomb that have been well preserved as religious landmarks. Golgotha, or the place of the skull can be seen just outside of Jerusalem's old city.

Throughout Jerusalem, there are various chapels, churches and shrines marking places believed to be of historical significance. For Jewish visitors, the most visited feature in Jerusalem is the Western Wall, otherwise also known as the Wailing Wall. The wall is where devout Jews congregate to pray for the restoration of Israel. Their prayer requests are written on pieces of paper and stuffed into the cracks of the wall. Just for the experience, it is well worth visiting. The Dead Sea is so named because of its extremely high salt content. Visitors can experience floating in the sea and enjoy a beauty therapy treatment at one of the local spas. Dead Sea mud is known worldwide for its healing properties. If it is beaches that you are looking for, the bright lights of Tel Aviv is the place to be. There is a great beach vibe here. During the day, you can relax on the beach and in the evenings enjoy the nightlife.

Travel Tips and Advice for Israel

Travelers need to be aware that while most areas are safe for travel, there is an ongoing conflict in the Gaza region. Travel to this area is highly restricted and visitors are advised against traveling there. In areas like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, there are many international tourists and it is advised to simply be aware of your surroundings and vigilant about your personal safety.
