  • Great Location

"It's taken awhile to write this review; thought I had done it before. It was a great location, about a 5 minute walk to the station. Great little shopping mall nearby. A convenience store a couple blocks away. Quick subway trip to anywhere, really. The Miyasaki museum is a couple of stops away. Makoto-san was very helpful; met us at the station and walked us to the apartment. He was very efficient in the preparation for our visit, making sure we knew the train lines etc. We had a tiny mix up in the meeting, but communicated through Whattsapp. I'd stay there again."

  • Kyoto Nene House

"We have a fantastic stay at Kyoto Nene House. Nobu San greeted us on arrival and familiarised us with the house and the local area. The house was perfect for our family of five and Nobu San helped us with everything we needed. In short the location was fantastic and the accommodation was very comfortable and convenient. Thank you to Nobu San for a wonderful stay. We would highly recommend this to friends."

  • Two thumbs up!

"I had a very special first trip to Kyoto, in part thanks to the pleasant stay in Tanaka-san's home. The gracious owners welcomed us upon our late-night arrival and showed us around the guest house. I felt it was a very authentic and interesting Japanese experience. The amenities provided covered our every need from hair dryer to washer/dryer to kitchen utensils, and the sleeping futons were very comfortable. The house is within easy walking distance to restaurants, convenience stores, bicycle rentals (great for exploring Arashiyama), and several train stations. The ride into central Kyoto took only 15 minutes. We loved the town of Arashiyama as much as we liked the house. It was gorgeous during the weeks of autumn foliage, especially up towards the mountains where we found a few beautiful little temples and quiet tree-lined streets with nice homes and shops. We also took a lovely stroll along the river. It was very special and romantic, such a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. I cannot recommend the place more highly."
