  • Comfortable & Convenient Apartment in A Pleasant Area

"The apartment is comfortable, clean & well furnished and equipped - we were short of nothing in terms of equipment & everything worked! The basement apartment is a bit dark with no view which is not a moan as it's clear in the description but everything else still combines to rate 5 stars. Having said that we weren't in Edmonton to stay in an apartment all day so ultimately it wasn't a major issue but just something to be aware of. The apartment is in a leafy avenue one block back from a main road which has the advantages of being quiet yet convenient for buses to Downtown or West Edmonton Mall. It's also only two minutes from access to MacKinnon Ravine with a very pleasant trail down to the river & on towards Downtown 4 or so kilometres away. Jasper Plaza is 5 minutes walk away with a Safeway, London Drugs & similar shops so it's not absolutely necessary to have a car available if you don't mind carrying you bags for 400m or so. For those planning on using public transport check out the Edmonton Transit website for the books of tickets that save money & are more convenient. Although we didn't use them there are restaurants & pizza carry-outs within walking distance. The acid test is would we stay at Glenora again? An unequivocal yes. Although we were primarily visiting family we still did one or two touristy things & Fort Edmonton Park, Telus World of Science, Alberta Aviation Museum are certainly worth a look. The Streetcar from Downtown to Strathcona over the High Level Bridge is a must & if you like Farmers' Markets you've a choice on a Saturday with a trip St Albert or Old Strathcona (take the Streetcar- arrive in style)."

  • Wonderful stay

"We held a little winter retreat here for four friends and it was a lovely spot to cook meals together in the fully equipped kitchen, hole up in the cozy living room, and go for walks down a country road into the wilderness area across the way. Lovely accommodating hosts. The day we were there, we were able to purchase fresh baked bread, homemade preserves and fresh farm eggs."

  • Enjoyed Our Stay

"We had a great stay here! It was easy it find, exactly as the pictures showed and they had all there bases covered, even a few kids toys! The owner were prompt and very nice. My son forgot a toy and they made it very easy for us to get it back. We will be staying again in the future I'm sure!! Also to note Spruce Groove has a wonderful swimming pool which more then made up for not staying in a hotel with a pool (my kids totally agree)"

  • Fun Family Wknd in a Great Vacation Home

"Our family from Red Deer met up with more family from Grand Prairie & North Battleford for a birthday weekend. What a perfect place to gather for the children and adults. There was so much room to relax and visit and all the children had heaps of space to run around, play with toys and just hang out. Beds were comfy with lots of extra bedding. We had 6 adults and 4 children all together and it was just perfect! We ate out to avoid the extra work of cooking but did have breakfasts and snacks which worked beautifully for everyone. The garage allowed for plenty of parking for all 3 vehicles which was really convenient. We couldn't believe our luck! Had we stayed in 3 hotel rooms it would have been so much more costly with no shared meeting area or room for kids to run around and play with their cousins. We would DEFINITELY stay in this home again and highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a large, relaxing place to gather together. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. It completely provided everything we could possibly need and more. The owner was more than happy to share recommendations of restaurants with us in the area too which was really helpful. We took in some area attractions and had a beautiful home to come back to at the end of the day...absolutely lovely!"
