  • Overall a Great Stay

"Our stay at Bears Paw was great! The place was very clean and just as described and really enhanced our holiday. It was so great to come back and relax on the comfy furniture (especially the Eddie Bauer couch!!) after a long day out adventuring. The kitchen was awesome as well and the icemaker came in especially handy (nice to not have to try keep track of when new ice needed to be made). The beds were also very comfy (including the pull out couch in the living room), however some did find the log bed a bit too soft. The owner was excellent to deal with; very quick to answer any questions and sent an excellent info package a few days before we were to arrive. Our only issues were that the cordless phone wouldn't couldn't hold it's charge, so the phone was useless. And the wireless internet didn't work either, but we were able to connect to the internet by physically plugging our laptop into the router in the one bedroom, and there was a random wireless connection that we were able to access that wasn't password protected. It's also a bit close to the railway line (which is quite busy), but not sure there would be many locations in Canmore that wouldn't be close to it.. The location within Canmore is prime! On one side of the building there is a Safeway and on the other side a Sobeys. It's SUPER close to many walking trails around Canmore and only a short walk to downtown Canmore where there are so many great shops, pubs, and restraunts to try out; there was even a small farmer's market downtown one day! One of our favorite places to kick back on a sunny day was the patio at The Grizzly Paw pub. Overall it was a great stay and we would highly recommend the place and would definitely stay there again!"

  • Gréât place

"This Condo was perfect. It is spacious making a family of five at ease. It is well furnished and the kitchen is well equiped so cooking is possible. I found having a grocery store close by was convenient. Finally the Condo is in a good location and is very clean."

  • Excellent accommodations and location!

"Our stay in Canmore was more than we could expect. Not only was the scenery spectacular but our condo was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Doris was exceedingly helpful prior to our trip; she recommended many activities for our family of four. The condo is located just a few minutes walk from town centre yet close enough to the highway allowing easy access to other towns. We enjoyed using the hot tub after long days of hiking and the pool was rarely crowded. Overall, it was a very nice complex and we would stay at the Lodges again. As for activities, we highly recommend a visit to Grassi lakes, Banff, Lake Louise, and Johnston Canyon. All four locations have excellent hiking trails. Canmore is a lovely town full of interesting shops and scenic walks. We highly recommend the following eating establishments: the Iron Goat, Grizzley Paw, and Rocky Mountain Flatbread restaurants. Our family's favorite activity was white water rafting with the Alpine rafting company (in Golden) on the kananaskis river. This extremely experienced and friendly outdoor company kept us safe as we ran the four plus rapids. It was quite a thrill along with spotting a black bear in the nearby woods!"

  • Excellent quality

"We are a group of 4 guys from Red Deer that regularly take a ski holiday in the Rockies. We went for 2 days at Lake Louise and 1 day at Sunshine Village, 1 day to explore the sights of Canmore and Banff. This condo was perfect for our group, plenty of room for our group of 6 ft guys. The bed configuration was distributed among the comfy master bedroom, pull out sofa and bunk beds which were both comfortable and a funky throw back to being a teenager again! The location of the resort is quiet and although not in the centre of the action in Canmore, it's an easy 10 minute drive away. Finally there are lots of on site conveniences like heated indoor parking, ski lockers and an awesome hot hut."
