"My family and I (2 couples, my mother and 3 children), took the long weekend and enjoys this home. It was very big, the kitchen was easy to work in, and the treed lot was amazing. It was extremely close to all the activities of fairmont hot springs (3-5 minutes) and we really appreciated that.
A couple things that could be improved on was: there was half to a quarter of a roll of toilet paper in each of the bathrooms, without any replacements and no paper towels of any kind. There was only one small kitchen type of garbage bags. I really think this may have been a one time oversight, but it was annoying to have to go to the store and buy these supplies for ourselves. I have rented numerous VRBO properties all over North America, and this was a first. While the pictures had a fire pit, it was not available. There was a fireban previously in the summer so they may have put it away earlier in the season, but there wasn't a fireban on the weekend we were there.
Other than that, I would consider this an excellent rental for groups of people. The beds were extremely comfortable as well."

"We had a week at this lovely house. The beautiful yard was GREAT for our 5 little ones and their families. Great DVD and video selection, if we had had time! The video game was a little hard to get going, but we figured it out. Could use a few more pointers on this and the satellite TV system. The deck is beautiful and spacious, beds comfortable, every dish and appliance we needed. The kitchen is small - not for group cooking at all, but we just appointed a chief for each meal. Roomy pantry, fridge a bit on the small side for a week's stay. Lots of room at the table for meals and games. Adults and children alike enjoyed the hot tub, though we didn't attempt the sauna. A bed for everyone in the family was great, and nice that we didn't have to bring our own playpen, booster chairs or highchair.
The owner was incredibly helpful and patient, everything was clean and in great repair. There were toys, books and puzzles for the kids, a game console, plus the arcade game. (something they've never seen before is always great!) What kid doesn't love a bunk bed?
Just a couple of concerns: The outdoor lighting for the walk and driveway were very dim - the solar lights don't give off enough wattage! And there is no outdoor porch light in the front. We saw a motion sensor light on the garage, but it didn't seem to work, and could not find a switch for it. The basement bathroom lighting is also very dim.
Our four generation family fit very well in this home, and for our 35th annual Thanksgiving gathering, it was a hit! Thanks to the Husbands for a special place to make family memories."

"The home was exactly what we needed for our vacation! We had 4 adults and 4 kids staying there and never once were we tripping over each other, so much room. The beds were all comfortable, the bathroom clean! Great for nice hiking and hot springs. Brenda was so helpful with all our questions. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for everything!!"

"Very neat and rustic log home, nice ambiance in that. Very room, and gave us all we needed to have 3 sections of the family, one on each level, with own bathroom, etc. Overall everything we needed. A few bits of constructive feedback; the rocks all over the counters for décor were a nuisance, makes clean up a pain, neat idea for a magazine shoot but not practical for actual living and using of the space. There was a lot of excess décor, we ended up putting so much away and aside until we cleaned and left an put it back because it was ll just in the way. Also, the picnic table on the deck was a great spot but the plastic tablecloth was in shreds so every time we sat there and everything we put there was covered in bits of plastic tablecloth, should have had a new proper one on it."
