  • Berk and Trish Shaw, Vernon BC

"We were not sure what to expect when we found our way to the loft cabin. What a pleasant surprise! The cabin was very nicely appointed, everything was as advertised. The view from the loft and the deck was absolutely beautiful! with the cabin surrounded by tall evergreens. we enjoyed complete privacy and since the cabin is not near any highway or road, it was extremely quiet. We had our yellow Lab with us (by prior arrangement). He is an old timer and the owner's dog, Pumpkin and our dog became instant friends the way Retrievers and Labs seem to do. They swam together off the sandy beach and then were content to share our company in the warm sun. The bed was probably the most comfortable one we have ever slept in! If you are looking for a quiet get away with full amenities and extreme quiet and beauty, this is the place!"

  • great fro a family vacation

"Enjoyed a week here with our two young grandchildren. Booking process was easy and owners very responsive to questions. Condo exceptionally well stocked. Except for the occasional train, the condo was quiet and pool never overly crowded even on the weekends. Would definitely recommend if staying in this area -condo easily could comfortably handle four adults and two to three children"

  • Great early season mountain biking getaway!

"Every once in a while a Banffite needs to get away, and by the seventh month of winter (April) this Banffite was a little desperate to get away from the snow and ice. But what to do when you only have a couple of days? Go to "Costa Radium," of course! Like most locals and lucky visitors alike, I've enjoyed my fill of spring skiing in the Bow Valley. But just a 90 minute drive from Banff lies an entirely different ecosystem, and Barb & Ted's Borrego Ridge condo in Radium Hot Springs is the perfect getaway. Just a few easy-to-navigate minutes from the intersection of Highways 93 & 95, it's the perfect home base for outings in the Columbia Valley. Located at the end of a quiet neighbourhood street, the condo looks out on beautiful mountain vistas. Outside the back door and just off the street you'll see grazing deer and sheep. For those like me who love to mountain bike, a variety of excellent early season trails await, and provide an excellent opportunity to explore the nearby offerings of Invermere, Windermere & Fairmont Hot Springs. I just got to ride roughly 70 km of trails in two days, gorged on sweet chili ribs and shrimp at Back Country Jack's (Radium), had coffee and a maple bacon donut at Quality Bakery in Invermere, and enjoyed a refreshing wade in Columbia Lake. Coming home from these adventures to Borrego Ridge was such a delight. Clean, welcoming and well appointed, it has everything you need to relax and kick back. Make your own meals in its bright, spacious kitchen. Cozy up in front of the gas fireplace and enjoy a movie, play board games, or read a magazine. If you need ideas for things to do in the area, the house binder has maps and visitor guides. House "systems" are well organized and easy to navigate so you won't waste time settling in or checking out. Barb and Ted are attentive and caring hosts who want to know that you've had a great time. I sure did!"
