  • Great early season mountain biking getaway!

"Every once in a while a Banffite needs to get away, and by the seventh month of winter (April) this Banffite was a little desperate to get away from the snow and ice. But what to do when you only have a couple of days? Go to "Costa Radium," of course! Like most locals and lucky visitors alike, I've enjoyed my fill of spring skiing in the Bow Valley. But just a 90 minute drive from Banff lies an entirely different ecosystem, and Barb & Ted's Borrego Ridge condo in Radium Hot Springs is the perfect getaway. Just a few easy-to-navigate minutes from the intersection of Highways 93 & 95, it's the perfect home base for outings in the Columbia Valley. Located at the end of a quiet neighbourhood street, the condo looks out on beautiful mountain vistas. Outside the back door and just off the street you'll see grazing deer and sheep. For those like me who love to mountain bike, a variety of excellent early season trails await, and provide an excellent opportunity to explore the nearby offerings of Invermere, Windermere & Fairmont Hot Springs. I just got to ride roughly 70 km of trails in two days, gorged on sweet chili ribs and shrimp at Back Country Jack's (Radium), had coffee and a maple bacon donut at Quality Bakery in Invermere, and enjoyed a refreshing wade in Columbia Lake. Coming home from these adventures to Borrego Ridge was such a delight. Clean, welcoming and well appointed, it has everything you need to relax and kick back. Make your own meals in its bright, spacious kitchen. Cozy up in front of the gas fireplace and enjoy a movie, play board games, or read a magazine. If you need ideas for things to do in the area, the house binder has maps and visitor guides. House "systems" are well organized and easy to navigate so you won't waste time settling in or checking out. Barb and Ted are attentive and caring hosts who want to know that you've had a great time. I sure did!"

  • Well worth it

"Unlike most rental experiences where online photos make the place look somewhat better than the reality, the photos of this place don't do justice to the beauty and overall effect you feel as you walk into the house for the first time. It's beautiful, decorated with eye catching art, has nice yet comfy furniture, and is well designed to make family time enjoyable and relaxing. I've never seen such a well-equipped kitchen in a rental, no worries about improvising. The rec centre is conveniently close and much better equipped for activities than the glorified hotel pool/gym I expected. All in all, well worth it, highly recommended, wouldn't hesitate to return."

  • As advertised and very comfortable

"Michelle did a very honest job in describing the unit. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, comfort of the beds and living room, and enjoyed our meals on the deck. The unit is very well equipped in the kitchen with everything you'd need plus lots more. The unit's location provides lots of privacy and views of the trees instead of the parking lot or other homes. The pool area was also very well maintained. It's a 10 min walk to the main strip of restaurants, farmer's market, info center etc... Lots of wildlife right in town as well for photo opps. One suggestion to make it just that much more comfortable would be a better patio set with proper chairs. Other than that, it was well worth the money."

  • A Great Getaway!!

"The place was clean, quiet, and a wonderful place to call home during our stay. The condo comes well stocked with all the amenities of home and was easy for our family of 6 to move into while we were there. Great people to deal with and all our questions were answered before we got there. Thanks again. We will be back!"
