  • Best family resort in the valley.

"We decided to stay somewhere new this summer and we are so glad we did. This resort has a special feel to it. Cool nights out on the deck with the kids playing on the grass out front. Friendly Neighbours and lots for all of us to do. Tennis. Boating. Beach. Biking. New friends made. Thanks for a great sure."

  • Great stay!

"First off, the communication with the owner of this place was excellent. They responded in a timely fashion and supplied the appropriate information. I agree with one review on here that the pictures don't do this place justice. I mean we really liked what we saw in the pictures and that helped us decide but when we walked through the door is was so much nicer than you can see from the pictures in the listing. The building looks new and so do all the finishes inside. I loved the high vaulted ceilings and the fact that you can look down to the living area from the loft. This place was also much bigger than we expected so we had plenty of room between the 2 couples. The kitchen is stocked very well and had everything we needed to cook meals. A bonus that I personally have not seen anywhere else was a Magic Bullet and Waffle Maker so we definitely took advantage of those. We used the BBQ one night and it worked great to cook up some steaks and potatoes. The decor and finishing of the condo are very welcoming and comfortable. We felt right at home the moment we walked in and all four of us were very sad to leave when it was our time to go. There are 2 bedrooms with a large loft upstairs. The loft upstairs is very large and has a hide-a-bed as well as a day bed type and there is also a bathroom. Keep in mind that this is open to the downstairs so there is not a lot of privacy if that matters to you. The two bedrooms are on the main floor: one has a walk-in closet and en suite and an amazing shower with 4 shower heads plus a rain head. The other bedroom has a great bathroom right outside the door. I believe there is a steam shower in there but we did not try that out. There are windows on two sides of the unit as it is on the corner and we had a view of mountains from both locations. The pool was closed for the winter but they have an indoor hot tub and outdoor hot tub. We took advantage of the outdoor one on numerous occasions and you have a great view of mountains during the day. There doesn't seem to be a ton to do in Radium itself but it's about a 10-15 minute drive to Invermere which has a lot more dining and shopping options. It was also about 45 minutes to Panorama ski resort. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to our family and friends."

  • Invermere condo

"We enjoyed our stay in Invermere very much. It was very comfortable in every way. The kitchen was well equipped. We walked everywhere. Nice being right on the Lake, with the park right there."

  • Perfect!

"We stayed just after Christmas with around 16 people and the place was just perfect for us! Lots of room to spread out and relax. The house had everything we needed. Access to the rec centre was definitely a plus. We love the location and would definitely stay here again!"

Lake Windermere Travel Tips

Plan Your Next Adventure in Lake Windermere Vacation Homes

Lake Windermere vacation homes are the ideal accommodations for families traveling to British Columbia. Spend some time here this season and enjoy watching bears, dog sledding, or even simply relaxing on the water in a house boat during your stay.

Live on the Water While Staying in Lake Windermere Vacation Homes

Rent a house boat and stay on the water for a few days as a comfortable alternative to your Lake Windermere accommodation choice. You may also simply rent one of these boats to enjoy your time on the water during the day, then relax in your land-based BC rentals for a quiet night of rest.

Watch the Bears at Your Lake Windermere Accommodation

Among the many specimens of native wildlife in British Columbia are several types of bear that travelers enjoy spotting during their visits to Lake Windermere vacation homes. Grizzlies, black bears and the “Spirit Bear” are the most popular. If you’re lucky, you may even spot one of the cream or white bears in the forest, which constitute only about 10 percent of the local bear population surrounding your Lake Windermere accommodation. The Great Bear Forest is the best place to catch a glimpse of these amazing creatures, and a guide can teach you and your loved ones how to correctly and safely search for and observe the bears near your BC rentals.

Dog Sledding near BC Rentals

If you plan on visiting Lake Windermere vacation homes during the winter months, you’re in for a real treat in the midst of the snow-covered mountains. Dog sledding teams and companies offer rides and regular transportation to the public, which is a great way to learn about one of the oldest local traditions while staying in your Lake Windermere accommodation. You may also choose to venture out from your BC rentals to spend an afternoon at one of the local schools that teach you how to drive these sleds.
