  • Perfect base for summer vacation

"My daughter, with two children aged 8 and 5, and I used Powder Chalet as a base for a week's summer holiday in the Revelstoke area. It was a perfect choice. It had lots of character, plenty of space, was well-equipped with everything one might need - and the owners were delightful and helpful. We enjoyed meals on the back deck, and the fire pit for toasting marshmallows. It is in a quiet but convenient location. There was so much to see and do in the area - short and full-day hikes with glorious scenery and wild flowers in two National Parks, interesting museums (our musical kids were fascinated by the Nickelodeon), hot springs and aqua centre, adventure and theme parks, railways and history, gondola, ghost towns, the dam, ferry across Arrow Lakes, Rogers Pass, etc. We ended with a 12 kms. hike to Eva Lake - and the kids carried their own backpacks! We would highly recommend the chalet and the area to a family for a summer vacation. Jane Vincent-Havelka, Vancouver and London, Ont."

  • Comfy cabin at the base of the mountain

"Six of us, all in our early 30s, had an absolute blast staying here while we snowboarded in Revelstoke for three days. The chalet was well suited to start and end our days on the hill. Sleeping accommodations and bedding were top notch, plenty of room so long as a few don't mind sharing the bunk bed room. The two bathrooms allowed everyone to quickly shower up each day. Plenty of towels, kitchen supplies/cutlery/etc. The ski/mud room complete with gear dryer was just the ticket to take care of our equipment. A perfectly quiet location with a mere 5 minute walk to the gondola. You need to drive to get anywhere else in town, but after a grocery trip what else do you need?? The town even has a beer delivery service. No complaints, would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

  • Great for Large Group at New Years

"As advertised and perfect location for lots of skiing! This is a large bungalow that has been renovated, providing us with lots of space for our group of 10 to spread out. You will not likely be skiing in or out this season due to lack of snow, but it is only a 2min walk up the road to the gondola. Big kitchen and large cozy living room, c/w nice wood burning fireplace. We moved the larger TV up from downstairs to enjoy bowl and the world junior hockey games. Dining area accommodated 10 people and ruckus games nights well. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and such, appropriately sized for many people to be working collaboratively on diner/mixing drinks together. Separate exterior/interior heated gear room was perfect for all our ski stuff. +/-6 person Hot tub is wonderful after a hard charging day on the slopes...what a view! Only minor comments are the wi-fi was not working when we were there, and the wood was damp and required drying by the fire prior to catching alight."
