  • family vacation arriving from Vancouver and Calgary

"Our family spent the Easter weekend at Paradise Valley Lodge and had a wonderful mini vacation. The house was ideal for our family of 5 adults and 2 kids plus our dog, the kids enjoyed the garden, an ideal spot for an Easter egg hunt, and the fish pond was popular as well. The beds are comfortable, the house was super clean and the kitchen ideal for our family of cooking aficionados. I would certainly recommend this house which includes two welcoming and hospitable hosts, Pam and David."

  • Great Home and Property -Kootenay Lake

"What a fabulous place to spend 1 - 4 weeks in the summer. My wife and I (seniors), celebrated a 70th birthday with our two daughters, husbands and four grandchildren (6-12 yrs. of age). The beautiful house had everything you needed, plus had a fabulous property on the water with great views looking down the lake. A large sandy beach provided great safe swimming for all (small children included) plus easy access for kayaks/canoes and larger watercraft. Twenty minutes by bike took you into the heart of Nelson while a 20 minute kayak trip took you to two beautiful secluded beaches across the lake. At night you can sit in the hot-tub overlooking the lake or just sit on one of the three decks enjoying the scenery, stars and solitude. What else to you want for a nice relaxing, fun filled holiday! We are all contemplating a future return someday."

  • Modern and well-appointed

"It's just what it says it is, and looks like the photos. Looks and smells pretty much brand new. All the necessary supplies are there. Not a big mountain view, but peacefully treed. If the place is busy, it could be a bit noisy at night, what with the hot tubs, and people going up and down the outside stairs. The hot tub cleaning lady ought to wait another 30 seconds after knocking, before entering the unit (she has the code), just to make sure people are decent (fortunately, I was). I'd stay there again."

  • Excellent lake front cabin

"Turned out to be exactly as advertised and more. Full kitchen for cooking real meals. All appliances and dishware were clean and available. Netflix was provided and the wifi worked throughout the cabin. Very warm and comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the wood burning fireplace in the evening (wood is included). The public beach area across the lake was perfect for sledding. The kids also got to skate near the cabin where plenty of ice was cleared. Overall it was a very enjoyable weekend and the kids begged us to stay longer. We will be booking again very soon."
