"We have stayed at the Lakehouse numerous times and love this magical paradise. Where else can you enjoy the lake, ocean, creeks all within walking distance, a wood burning fireplace at night and all the comforts of home including a very comfortable king size bed? The Lakehouse is a peaceful retreat with many hiking trails within a short drive. It is also very pet friendly. Our dog loves it!!! We would highly recommend this place as long as you don't take our spot. :-)"

"We loved our stay at Hummingbird cottage. The little cottage itself is beautiful, with a gorgeous kitchen & bathroom, and two nice bedrooms (for those with young kids, note that the loft is up a very steep ladder).
The location on Village Bay Lake is spectacular - jump straight off the dock and swim around the island, or walk to Bold Bay if you want a swim. Bring groceries as it's a bit of a trip into town, but we really appreciated having basics like olive oil and flour on hand.
On my daily runs, I was surprised if I saw more than two cars in three quarters of an hour.
Reider and his son Leif were welcoming and responsive to any questions we had. Leif set up a badminton net and croquet for us, as if we didn't have enough to do already! Our dog was in heaven with room to run & a lake to swim in.
Absolute bliss (we'll be back to Hummingbird Cottage)."

"If you are looking for a tranquil and breathtakingly beautiful getaway and to take a quiet break from the day to day City life, Quadra is the place to go. We visited mid October and unfortunately the rain joined us for most of our trip, however with all of the nature and surroundings we made the best of it. We enjoyed the scenery and the beautiful ocean views all around the Island and enjoyed beach combing along the shorelines. The cottage has all of the necessary amenities of home and is perfect for a family with teenage or small children staying in the main house with room for another couple to stay in the separate cottage allowing fo more private and comfortable sleeping quarters. We really enjoyed our time on Quadra Island and it is a wonderful place to kick back and take a quite break."

"We spent an incredible week at Luna Vista's one-bedroom cabin. The cabin itself is cozy and well-appointed, but the real beauty of this place is the porch/deck. The east-facing view from the deck looks out over water, Rebecca spit, more water, and then layer upon layer of mountain range, stretching into mist.
We looked at that view in the morning, sitting and sipping coffee. We looked at that view in the afternoon, opening a bottle of wine. And we looked at that view in the evening, from the incredible two-person soaker tub. We were fortunate to have fine weather all week, but even in poor weather, Luna Vista would be an alluring destination.
Gretchen and Doug were very friendly, giving us a nice greeting and then giving us plenty of privacy thereafter.
As a base camp for exploring the beaches and trails of Quadra Island, Luna Vista is fantastic. We had a terrific experience here and would recommend this spot without reservation."
