"We stayed in Eagle View Cottage for a week (2 adults, 2 children aged 12 and 10) in August. The cottage was all that we had hoped - very clean, just the right size for the 4 of us, very comfortable beds, quiet location but in easy reach of Ganges. The kitchen is well equipped and the chickens outside the kitchen window were great entertainment. We were fortunate that the tide was in early evening when we were there so we made full use at that time of day of the kayak provided. Hot tub was also great though the weather was so good when we were there we really needed a cold tub!
Kelly and Lionel were very kind and helpful hosts. They are just next door and available if you need information or assistance but were never intrusive.
We had a lovely holiday on Salt Spring. There is so much to do and see that you can easily occupy a week here. Also it's rare to find a place with such an open, friendly and welcoming

"We decided on a short getaway and this place was a great choice. Quiet location and a good home base. Was there with my wife and daughter and my daughter commented on the "calm and quiet energy". Good communication with Jason and very welcoming when we arrived. We plan on coming back!"

A wonderful heritage house in a great location on beautiful Salt Spring Island
"Before punching in the entrance code, I stood on the verandah and enjoyed the view of Ganges Harbour with its variety of moored boats and other marine traffic coming in, and thought how lucky we were to have found a rental in such a secluded and lovely site. Once in the house, I was even more delighted, as it had a gracious air, was well furnished and the living room with its colourful art glass installation over the fireplace flanked with the bookshelves was a highlight for me. We were a party of five old friends, so once the house was explored, we decided the only fair way to allocate the bedrooms was to draw straws - and I was not the lucky person who drew the one for the master bedroom with its great view and ensuite bathroom, but was happy in my small upstairs one. It was a real plus to be able to stroll into Ganges for meals, art gallery visits, and restaurants - plus two excellent bakeries. I very much hope we will be able to have at the least an annual visit to this spacious and charming house, set in its extensive grounds."

"My husband and I enjoyed our weeklong stay at the Cottage of Tranquility. Set on a hill above the owner's farm, surrounded by tall trees and a view down to the meadow, it truly is a tranquil place. I loved sitting on the porch each morning surrounded by nature with only the clucking of chickens and birdsong to be heard. Such a welcome change for a city dweller.
The cottage is spacious, tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable. We appreciated the welcome basket of breakfast supplies and also having access to the extensive DVD collection.
Having our own, private hot tub was a real bonus. Whether soaking by night, or late afternoon after exploring the island, the hot tub was such a treat, especially being outdoors with vines and trees surrounding it.
The cottage is just a few minutes drive from the hub of the island activity in Ganges. If walking, one could do it in 30 -45 minutes depending on your pace.
Philip and Kim are friendly hosts and we enjoyed spending some time with them on our only rainy day.
We chose this vacation cottage because we wanted a peaceful self-catering vacation home with outdoor space to enjoy and we certainly were not disappointed. I would give it four and a half star rating."
