  • A wonderful heritage house in a great location on beautiful Salt Spring Island

"Before punching in the entrance code, I stood on the verandah and enjoyed the view of Ganges Harbour with its variety of moored boats and other marine traffic coming in, and thought how lucky we were to have found a rental in such a secluded and lovely site. Once in the house, I was even more delighted, as it had a gracious air, was well furnished and the living room with its colourful art glass installation over the fireplace flanked with the bookshelves was a highlight for me. We were a party of five old friends, so once the house was explored, we decided the only fair way to allocate the bedrooms was to draw straws - and I was not the lucky person who drew the one for the master bedroom with its great view and ensuite bathroom, but was happy in my small upstairs one. It was a real plus to be able to stroll into Ganges for meals, art gallery visits, and restaurants - plus two excellent bakeries. I very much hope we will be able to have at the least an annual visit to this spacious and charming house, set in its extensive grounds."

  • Very comfortable cottage on a idyllic island

"We stayed in Eagle View Cottage for a week (2 adults, 2 children aged 12 and 10) in August. The cottage was all that we had hoped - very clean, just the right size for the 4 of us, very comfortable beds, quiet location but in easy reach of Ganges. The kitchen is well equipped and the chickens outside the kitchen window were great entertainment. We were fortunate that the tide was in early evening when we were there so we made full use at that time of day of the kayak provided. Hot tub was also great though the weather was so good when we were there we really needed a cold tub! Kelly and Lionel were very kind and helpful hosts. They are just next door and available if you need information or assistance but were never intrusive. We had a lovely holiday on Salt Spring. There is so much to do and see that you can easily occupy a week here. Also it's rare to find a place with such an open, friendly and welcoming atmosphere."

  • Woderful Getaway

"We spent a beautiful week at 'Suncrest Cottage' in February (2015). The cottage is clean, comfy and a wonderful home away from home. We intended on travelling to a couple of the other Gulf Islands but found we had plenty to do and see on Salt Spring Island. We will return again, undoubtedly! Maria had our fridge stocked with eggs, granola, milk, and homemade cake and jam. Both the welcoming and the sunshine were lovely and warm. :) PS Check out the Fernwood coffee shop up the street, a great place too! TNB"

  • Great Place with oceanview and direct beach access

"We stayed 3 nights at Tantramar and were very satisfied with the accomodation. Our little 22 months old son enjoyed everything the house had to offer - the generous garden with the deck, the little playground with a slide and swing and of course the beach which had clear shallow water on the first day. Beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchen was the best equipped we have ever seen in any of our rental stays. The sun deck is really big and the protected porch is a nice area to relax in the evenings. Views are great as well and we were also spotting Bald-eagles and Falcons. This place is definitely worth staying and we like to come again soon. There is one downside though. If you need internet during your stay you might be disappointed because the connectivity is very poor and the speed is very slow."
