  • A home away from home

"Staying at Yellow Point Retreat was like staying in a home, only with the most beautiful sunrises. Decorated to "the hilt", the web site is very accurate, and a superbly stocked kitchen. All the amenities of home, surround sound, Blu-ray, too many channels to list, and SO quiet. Just add food, relax, enjoy the peace and quiet, and kick back! Going home after 2 months here. Going to miss those sunrises!"

  • Outstanding!

"Casual, elegant, roomy, pleasant overall, and total equipped to meet the renter's needs. The photos are accurate, but don't quite do justice to the window, view, and the deck. Our only complaint was not having enough time to act like tourists because we spent so much on the deck looking at the boats and wildlife. The was our first family reunion, and everybody wants to come back here next time."

  • Ideal Setting

"This home is a gem. It's about 30 minutes from Victoria but you feel like you're much further away. Our first day we saw six boats but about double that many kayakers. For the power boats, we have usually seen that many in about ten minutes at other waterfront locations we've rented. In the week we were there, we only saw one other car on the road in front of the house while we were driving. The house is very well maintained and the kitchen is stocked with many dry food items beyond what you normally find. We brought two kayaks and launched them from the bottom steps. About ten minutes south is a provincial park which made for some great sightseeing from the water. Lots of wildlife in the area, especially deer. There were lots of things to do nearby. We toured Butchart Gardens on a Saturday in August and stayed to enjoy their fireworks show. We also toured a winery and cider maker, went to the Sidney street fair and spent a day in Victoria. This was a hard place to leave. I hope we can return soon."

  • Our second honeymoon!

"WE enjoyed our second honeymoon, after 29 years of marriage at this lovely, large, comfortable home. The view of the chanel was constantly changing as the tides ebbed and flowed and the sun rose and set through the scattered clouds, creating soft west coast colours. There was everything we needed, we only had to roll our suitcases in and we were right at home. With that veiw and the original Godfrey Stevens drawings and the photos by Aija Steel, it was certainly a feast for the eyes."
