  • Mt. Washington Alpine Resort, on Vancouver Island

"We like to hike, so stayed here in the non winter time. It was perfect! We hiked and explored all day and came home to everything we needed. The townhome was roomy, clean, well maintained. The owner very responsive to any questions. We hiked up Mt Washington and got to ride down on the chair lift! The views from the top are gorgeous. Forbidden Plateau was a lovely hike, a 5 minute walk away from the townhome. We loved the Black in Pub in Comax. We took day trips to Campbell River, Gold River, Parksville, each having charm of their own. Miracle Beach is a must see too. We stayed a week, cannot beat that weekly rate either! Highly recommend!"

  • Magnificent Penthouse

"Our stay at Pied-À-Terre Harbour Penthouse at Mermaid Wharf was everything as advertised on VRBO. Booking the unit was quick and easy, with owner, Teresa, responding within a day. From check-in with Colette on our day of arrival, to our final day at the condo, all enquiries were handled graciously and efficiently. Without a doubt, we would again make this condo our home-away-from-home on our next visit to Victoria. The unit, within easy walking distance to several of the City’s restaurants, entertainment venues and sights, was secure, clean and beautifully decorated, with a well-equipped kitchen and a private underground parking space. Having the Harbour Ferry and Water Taxi service operating from the building’s docks came in very handy on those occasions when we were too tired to walk back to the condo. Among the highlights of our stay were our regular walks on the Galloping Goose or Songhees trail systems, a bus tour, and watching from our private balcony the various activities on the Gorge Waterway: boating, kayaking, rowing, canoeing, board paddling, and rehearsal by the Harbour Ferry Captains of their summer Water Ballet. All in all, reasonably-priced accommodations at a very convenient location made this an exceptionally wonderful and enjoyable holiday."

  • Wonderful find!

"This condo's location could not be better for visiting downtown Victoria: it's right across from Chinatown, and just a few minutes' walk to the Empress Hotel (their buffet lunch is superb! Served in the Bengal Room, once frequented by Rudyard Kipling), the Royal Museum and IMAX, the Legislative Buildings and so on. The condo's condition was immaculate - wish our own home could be as clean! There's a useful desk area and there's WiFi. Underground parking was much appreciated as street parking can be hard to find. Maureen, the owner, met us at the entrance when we arrived and showed us around the condo. She was a super host! If you want a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay while visiting Victoria, this is it!"

  • Awesome stay

"The unit was very clean and exactly as advertised. Easy access to transit, grocery store, restaurants, and recreation centres. All of the appliances worked great, no issues with noisy neighbours, great neighbourhood. Nic was very prompt at answering emails which made checking in and out very easy. The only two things requiring improvement would be to possibly upgrade and/or fix the TV (as previous reviews have mentioned, it has two permanent lines running down the middle) and to provide oven mitts. Both of these were very minor issues. We searched everywhere for oven mitts but couldn't find any so just used dishtowels when removing things from the oven. We might have just not looked hard enough for them"
