"I had the great fortune to be able to rent this cottage for a few days this past month. A totally unplanned vacation and what luck I had. Inside and out this is a place is a dream.
The owners Gary and Meredith (two wonderful people) have it decorated so beautifully that you can’t stop walking around and admiring everything. Just when you think you have seen it all you discover another little treasure tucked away.
The season was over at the time i rented so the hot tub was not up and running but that didn’t spoil my enjoyment of the home one bit. It just made me want to come back next year as I can only imagine how unbelievable it must be to be relaxing in the enjoying the warmth of that water while listening to the melody of the rushing water of the river just steps away. The salmon where just starting their journey up the river and one afternoon I saw a bear across the river feasting on one unlucky little guy. Quite an experience as you can imagine.
If you need a break, time to unwind, or a romantic getaway this is most definitely the place and I highly recommend you take a serious look and book it."

"My family of 4 (including my 3 year old and 5 month old) stayed here for the entire month of May. Our stay was beyond wonderful - where to begin...
First of all, the location can't be beat. Everyday we would start and end our day along Dallas Road. It is literally a 3 minute walk to the waters edge and then you can stroll as long as you like. The Breakwater Cafe was a favourite stop for lunch and coffee breaks. Our daily walks also included trips to James Bay Village for groceries, coffee, snacks and lunch. We walked to the Inner Harbour a few times too, probably 15 min. max to get there (that's walking with a baby stroller and 3 year old). But you only need to drive 5-10min to get to any attraction you really want in downtown Victoria (Inner Harbour, Beacon Hill Park, Cook Street, Fisherman's Wharf etc.)
Secondly, the house itself was just perfect for our needs. It is very well appointed - there was nothing I missed from home that I really needed. The rooms were spacious and clean. Main bathroom with shower was on lower level, which is unconventional, but not a problem. You will spend the majority of your time upstairs which is a very cool layout. It's nice that the living room upstairs doesn't have a TV because it totally encouraged us to visit with each other. WIFI cuts out in the living room, but works well everywhere else. The courtyard is totally underrepresented by the pictures and overview. This hidden oasis was where we spent every other minute. We BBQ'd almost daily, and we sat out every night. You could hear a pin drop as the neighbourhood is so quiet. (Although, you can hear the cruise ship horns, seagulls and the clip-clop of the horse drawn carriages as they tour James Bay.).
Finally, Femke was very easy to deal with - she was helpful with answering my questions prior to the trip so that I could plan what I needed. She really cared that we would have a good time in Victoria and especially at the house.
We would love to come back again!"

"This is a great location. Everything is conveniently located. Great walking location to Victoria's sites or the water taxi is right outside the door. Maureen met us and introduced us to the condo. Secure parking. Don't miss the stroll down Fan Tan Alley, the Sunday Water taxi ballet, and Parliament buildings lit up at night. Head on over to Fisherman's Wharf and walk to Ogden Point (where the cruise ships come in) for some beach combing."

"This is our third time staying here and we are never disappointed! Recently this condo had been renovated and it is every bit as beautiful as the pictures! I frequently stay at Westin properties and this condo is as clean if not cleaner than five star hotels. Lots to do such as hiking, walking along the beach, horse shoes, tennis, swimming or just soaking in the hot tub! Perfect for the ultimate family vacation!"
