  • Victoria break

"Awesome location. Beautiful and highly functional condo. Underground parking. Very quiet. Diane (on site contact) and Karen (owner) were most accommodating and helpful. Top rating!"

  • Wonderful Retreat for a Group Old Friends

"We were a group of 8 women who have known each other most of our lives. Once every couple of years we try to gather together to catch up. This was our second stay at Imagine Beach Cottage. We looked for something closer to Victoria that could match it and just didn't find anything that hit every point on our wish list while staying inside our budget (It worked out to about $25 each per night). Stay here if you want; a decent sized hot tub; to fall asleep watching the waves out the window; a private setting; a big fireplace; a (remarkably) well stocked kitchen (even an angel food cake tin... I mean, really!), a kitchen layout that lets us all cook together at once; enough sleeping spaces for everyone; a indoor space conducive to sitting around in a circle yet providing plenty of opportunity to go off in private groups of two or three; breathtaking natural beauty; pets allowed; and a store within walking distance. The booking and check-in process is very easy, our damage deposit was refunded as promised with no prompting, and the owner and manager are both super friendly and easy to deal with. My only complaint is that 3 days really wasn't enough. We will be back."

  • Victoria, BC Apartment

"Firstly, we enjoyed our stay (our 6th different location in Victoria in the past 7 years). The location is great and much about the apartment is first-rate. The linen, towels, appliances, and furniture (save for an overly firm master bed mattress) were of excellent quality and much appreciated. But there are some items which the owner might want to consider - more cutlery and dishes (we had 4 table knives and not enough dishes/glasses for all 3 daily meals). The remote (required) for the radio had no battery, which we purchased, along with metal tongs and a flipper for the BBQ (the plastic ones would not last long over a fire) plus juice glasses. And the largely empty walls begged out for a bit more artwork. Any place we have previously stayed in, has a booklet with info about the apartment (wifi password, rules and collection days for garbage and recycling), location of stores/banks/pharmacies, and maps/brochures about local sites. The owner initially verbally gave us the wifi password for the suite below us and coverage was limited until we discovered his error. Three of the windows on the street side rattle badly with wind or traffic, so much so that we had to stuff cardboard around their edges the first windy night. Finally, the apartment is located adjacent to one of the busiest roads in James Bay, with many trucks and service vehicles gearing up/down as they approach the short hill nearby - the noise can be quite deafening during work hours. So, I find it hard to offer 5 stars for this apartment - it is nice, but could stand some attention to details."

  • This is no April fools!

"I almost hesitate to tell you how great it is to stay at Don and Susan's place because it will be 100% booked in no time!! ( just kidding!). We are so pleased every time we stay there because of the location, the cleanliness and they way the place it outfitted. Having a top drawer coffer maker, we got spoiled by having espresso and cappuccino almost every morning. Add a two block walk to the wonderful Sidney bakery and you have it made! So handy to grocery stores and if you want to head into Victoria, just hop the bus ( be sure and take the 70X and sit up top for some awesome scenery!) Have $2.50 for exact fare and you are good to go! From comfortable linen's and towels to a wonderful king sized bed.. it was a great place to stay while visiting family in the area! Thank you Don and Susan, we will be back "soon"!!"
