  • Ticked all our boxes

"We thought this cute little apartment would be right for us when we booked it months ago and when we arrived and saw how well it ticked all our boxes, all our hopes were realized. First of all, it is safe and secure ... most important. Then we found how easy it is to get ... anywhere. A short walk to the Inner Barbour, to Chinatown and our fav tea shop, Murchies; a bit further to James Bay and Beacon Hill Park, and, if necessary, a hop and a step to the water taxi to just about anywhere else. Driving 'Up Island' is a dream as are all other road connections. And so close to really good restaurants and watering holes. We just love the micro-brewery, the Canoe - now, our fav. pub! Yes, God willing, we WILL be back."

  • Amazing Family Weekend at the Lake

"We have just returned home from an incredible three nights at this Sproat Lake vacation house. We arrived in the afternoon on Thursday and left Sunday morning. The house was so full of character and fun to explore. We found the house clean and welcoming. It had all of the required amenities including bedding, kitchen utensils, toilet paper and even ample firewood. The location was perfect, not too close to the big city of Port Alberni but close enough if you need anything. There is also a small convenience store, liquor store and lake side pub just down the road. One day was spent golfing at the 'Mom and Pop' golf course called "Hollies" which was as laid back as our vacation. We also rented a speed boat and tube for a fun day on the lake from Fish and Duck. We were surprised how warm the lake was for the end of May. The only thing I would caution about this vacation rental is that it is a bit of a trek down to the beach. It's a great plan for burning off the extra hot dogs and pops but could be a little much for anyone that could have bad knees. There is a small drivable road down to the beach to drive down supplies but make sure you have a 4x4. All in all it was a fantastic weekend and I would recommend this rental to anyone. Comparing other rentals VRBO, this place will definitely give you the best bang for your buck for a large group. Thanks Dale!"

  • Recreational activities galore

"Spacious and opportunities for loads of fun in the summer. Swimming, boating, tennis, and billiards were great. For the price, we would expect the huge kitchen to be more up to date and something to be done about the musty smell in the house."

  • Great Times on the Lake

"This was an awesome house to have on the lake for the week! Especially for families, with the rec room full of toys upstairs to the beachfront that kids can wade in from, this was exactly what we were looking for. Great location on the sunny side of the lake too! Had all the stuff you need at a lake ( water toys, lots of towels, BBQ, huge patio) and an awesome dock to laze away the afternoons. Not to far from amenities either, if your running low on stuff. Can't wait to get back there next year!"
