"My family lives in Bellingham, WA, my sister-in-law lives in Vancouver, and my parents-in-law live in Courtenay. This cottage has become our lodging of choice in Vancouver. My SIL and my family gather comfortably in the cottage. And during the summer at least, there's no shortage of entertainment with the river there. Kitchen is well equipped; grocery story is easy walking distance; and TV is GIANT. Jacqueline is always prompt and friendly in her communications and tries to accommodate any special request."

"We recently stayed at this property when we visited the area for a family wedding. It was a great set up for three couples with each of us having our own bathroom. It is a beautiful house but needs a thorough cleaning (some spider webs, sticky floors and counter tops). We had hoped to use the bikes but one of them had a flat tire and we did not see a tire pump. Overall it is a very nice house and we had a pleasant stay."

"We spent the weekend here on Denman island (also did a day trip to Hornby)....the place was great for our needs....we were out most days exploring, but cooked and slept at Timmerhouse. Very great, gracious hosts. Very quiet place to visit, great ocean front access!
Clean, and comfortable....we are not picky travelers, but do appreciate fine accommodations, and had it in our stay here. Bring your groceries from the mainland....Nanaimo, being the largest and closet shopping. There was a few spices there from the previous guest........The island has a small grocery store, but not a huge selection....the essentials. I recommend getting your eggs from locals, can't beat fresh eggs! For breakfast we went to the Guesthouse down the road.....great breakfast, unique café, but not for those that expect fine dining....we loved it. Great hike is to Tree Island, only accessible at low tide....lots to discover on the beaches! Not very sandy,(we were in Maui last year, so can't compare) bring good walking shoes. We will have to go back with our kids, as they would have a great time exploring!
Thank you to our host:)"
