  • Everything Worked Out Perfectly

"I recently rented this home along with three of my golfing buddies for a three night stay and it was ideal for our needs. We are all semi-retired guys in our early 60's and are well beyond sharing bedrooms and bathrooms, so the lay out with four of each was perfect for us. The location is great, very central to lots of golf. We played Storey Creek, Pheasant Glen and Crown Isle while in the area. The view from the sun deck is fabulous and there was an eagle constantly hunting and feeding her fledgelings. We could also see the sun glinting off the mainland mountains while the sun rose over the Salish Sea. In the house, the kitchen, dining room and great room are all connected which makes it all very social. There is a bedroom and bathroom on the main floor which is good for anyone with trouble with stairs. Upstairs, there are two beds and baths including the master which has a great view over the estuary. The fourth bed and bath is in the basement along with the hot tub which we made good use of. The kitchen is very well equipped and we had some great dinners. There is a very large high capacity fridge and nice island for assembling meals. All-in-all, we had a first class experience, the owners are great god deal with and we will have no hesitation renting from them again. Highly recommended!"

  • Comfortable, relaxing stay

"Everything we needed was provided in this bright, airy guesthouse. Hilary and Steve gave us directions and a great recommendation to the Atlas Cafe in Courtenay. After exploring the area the next day, we came back and grilled some fish and relaxed in the comfortable surroundings. Excellent attention to detail. Highly recommended."

"My husband and I spent 6 wonderful nights here. The property is simply idyllic in every way. The owners have created a magical space in the woods north of Courtenay. The rental is completely separate from the main house, so privacy is maintained. As well, the owners are friendly and helpful, but not in an obtrusive way. The artesian spring-fed swimming pond was a lovely spot to relax and the private hot tub was perfect. Top marks!!"

  • Blueberry Cottage

"Our stay at Blueberry Cottage was a delight. We were just visiting from 3 hours away and it felt like we had truly arrived in a gorgeous holiday destination. The cottage has absolutely everything we needed plus 3 outdoor spaces to lounge or dine in. We could walk downtown or to the fabulous Puntledge river for a swim. Maureen has created a beautiful, cozy, clean and tastefully decorated cottage which we can't wait to return to."
