"I recently rented this unit over the Spring Break for some time with my Grandchildren. It was amazing. The unit was spotless with all the comforts of home. Beach walks, bike riding and BBQ's best family holiday yet. I will recommend this unit to everyone."

"The house was beautiful! Very clean, nicely decorated, high end appliances and very cozy comfy beds and bedding. House was well stocked with towels, essential toiletries etc. patio furniture and BBQ were a bonus and the view and the beach were amazing. Only down side was the well water, and the landscaping was in a little poor condition."

"What a great find in Comox BC! The Perch on Birch is a perfect 'apartment' to stay while you fall in love with Comox and surrounding area! It is stocked with everything you will need. Karen is a wonderful host and was very helpful and available if we needed her.. The location is close to all the shops and restaurants, beaches and the Comox harbor. It is cozy, comfortable, and very clean. Thanks Karen for this incredible place to stay!"

"Delightful little upstairs studio perched on cliff overlooking the Sooke Basin - Magnificent views and sunsets! Clean, well equipped unit (lots of towels and linens) with very comfortable bed. Sofa bed ok for a child. The gardens are beautiful and tranquil. A well constructed set of 120 stairs leads down the cliff to a very small rocky cove where you can launch one of the many kayaks (a selection of life jackets is available). The common shared BBQ patio is at the bottom of the steps to the Eagle's Nest deck. We were fortunate that no guests were in Bear's Den below us, otherwise we would have felt too close. BBQ is new and well looked after. The patio chairs and table are new and comfortable for 4 people. The owner lives in the house beside the patio and we did feel like we were in his yard. We would definitely return - however we wish to share some notes which may help prospective guests. Bring your own deck chairs; the supplied ones are very small hard round metal folding chairs and extremely uncomfortable. If you are coming with pets or small children be aware that the windows (except a small one at the back) are not screened, and open outwards. On hot days the windows and doors need to be open; it is a loft with no insulation in ceiling! The bathroom is narrow with very small sink and shower, and the door gets stuck if you open fully so narrow opening too. The hot and cold water taps are reversed. Parking is about 200 feet from the cottage and through gates so think about the amount of stuff you want to tote up the hill. The wireless internet does not work with the instructions supplied and there is no modem. We had to ask the owner next door to attach us to his internet and then it only works when you sit in front of his yard."
