  • A very memorable stay.

"We have rented this amazing property for 7 months. Our comfort and needs have been well looked after by Lynda. The layout of the house is charming, with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathroom upstairs, and a full bathroom downstairs. Very useful when there are many guests staying. The laundry room is large with a washer/dryer and a sink. Great to rinse out clothes after a day at the beach or lake. The faucet outside the front door is useful to rinse dirty footwear. The kitchen/dining room/patio door to the outside, allows a crowd to move easily. It has the same small appliances that you have in your own home, with plenty of utensils, pots and pans, and crockery. The fridge freezer is large for all your provisions. All the bedrooms have a T.V.. The living room T.V. is connected to Apple T.V., providing a large selection of viewing when you may need it. However, with the sea view outside, the fire pit stocked with wood, and the gas grill and patio furniture, you will rarely use them. Lynda's properties are all beautifully decorated. She has exquisite taste which is reflected in all the soft furnishings. The garden in Cliff House South is well maintained, and even has a fresh herb garden in a box. Campbell River is an unique place to visit. Our favourite excursions were the orca whale and bear watching trips. From this property we sighted eagles, one humpback, dolphins and seals. We have been so happy staying at Cliff House South. We look forward to returning soon."

"What a lovely, quiet suite. Just perfect for short or long stays all year round. The view is gorgeous! It changes from minute to minute and never gets boring. I loved watching the sailboats, powerboats and fishing boats coming and going from the harbor even in rainy weather. This suite really is fully equipped with all the amenities of home. I stayed in this suite over the late fall and winter season and found it very convenient. The kitchenette was fully stocked with all the essential utensils and even spices for light meals! The bathroom contains a large tub and a glassed-in shower, robes and plenty of towels …. and a heated floor! Along with the hi-def tv, wi-fi, indoor parking, and hot tub a single person or couple would require nothing else for a quiet, comfortable vacation stay in beautiful Sidney-By-the-Sea. The Miraloma condo complex is located at the end of a quiet street. Within two blocks is the excellent harbor side Sea Glass Grill for dining out, a light lunch diner and a convenience store. The main street of Sidney is just a good 15 minute walk away. I enjoyed the suite a lot and will return for sure."

  • Amazing view and great location close to town!

"The house is in an incredible location, walking distance to town and Tonquin beach. We were wowed as soon as we walked in by the view from both inside the house and from the deck. Sunsets were incredible and we enjoyed watching the resident bald eagle as he swooped around the property. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub was well used and overall the house was a good deal for the money. The house was clean, well maintained and the property managers were pleasant to deal with. Our only complaint was regarding the kitchen....we as regular renters of vacation properties and "foodies" like to do quite a bit of cooking for ourselves. This kitchen was really not set up for that. The stove was not only very complicated to use, but also didn't work about 80% of the time. The dishwasher was iffy at times, the ice machine in the fridge didn't work, the BBQ not that great and the kitchen wasn't that well stocked with serving dishes. We had arranged for a personal chef (Darcy McBride of Dish Personal Chef Service) to cook for us one night and our meal was almost stymied by the stove quitting on us. Thank goodness for the hot plates we found in a storage closet upstairs. I would recommend putting in a simple "north american" gas stove, a new "north american dishwasher, and stocking the kitchen with some more serving dishes in order to make dining at home an easier experience. If you are planning on eating dinner at restaurants most nights, then this house is a perfect match. We highly recommend the Wolf in the Fog for dinner, Tacofino for lunch and Common Loaf for breakfast. Finally, if you are interested in having someone prepare meals for you, contact Darcy McBride #TofinoDish, our experience was incredible. Overall, I would go back to Pacific Retreat, in fact we plan to in August 2017!"
