  • Great place

"There were 11 of us--7 adults, 4 kids--and we rented the whole chalet (both suites). It worked out great. Having two attached suites allowed us to have some privacy, when we needed it, but also to get together communally. The chalet is clean, spacious, and new. The kitchens are we'll equipped. It was particularly nice to have those great barbecues. The only downside was not being right on the hill and not having the village to go for evening walks. That said, driving to the bottom of the Hawk chair was hassle free."

  • Perfect property for a relaxing stay

"This is an immaculately clean suite with a beautiful view from the top of the hill. We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy on the outside patio overlooking the garden, watching the birds and listening to water rushing from the top of a large basalt stone fountain near the patio where the birds came to drink. The king sized bed with a pillow top mattress was extremely comfortable. Doug and Signy were great telling us what we needed to know about using the hot tub and appliances. The home is a short drive from Sooke so it was convenient when we needed to get groceries. We were able to take our small non-shedding dog with us for the week and she enjoyed the frequent walks and car rides. There were many deer in the area, which was interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

  • A quiet corner of paradise

"Lovely property, fabulous views, peaceful, well appointed. Every thing you could need for a restful get away. The only downside was the uncomfortable Murphy bed. But, truly would suffer the bed for another stay at this wonderful place! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise."

  • An enjoyable one month stay in the heart of Victoria.

"Fabulous help from Liz in making the arrangements. She answered all of our questions promptly regarding the location, amenities of the suite and the availability of services in the vicinity of the Juliet. Lawrence McDonald was our Concierge and met us upon our arrival. He was very personable, and very helpful during our stay. The central location of the Juliet to markets, restaurants. pubs, fitness club, major bus stops and shopping was excellent. Walks to the inner harbor (Empress) were less than 15 minutes. Being located at the intersection of 2 busy streets however resulted in early morning noise from garbage trucks (dumpsters) and many sirens during the night. You learn to tune out some of it after awhile. The suite itself was located on the 8th floor. It was clean and comfortable, but is due for a painting sometime in the near future. Nice view of the downtown area and hills in the distance. Elevator service was a small issue in the first week, but after repairs had been made, it was excellent. Overall, a memorable stay (despite cool weather). We would stay at the Juliet again and our rating is 4 1/2 stars."
