  • Perfect Place For The Entire Family.

"After a long travel day from Seattle, we arrived shortly before sunset to a beautiful and well appointed beach house for the entire family to enjoy. The back yard was perfect for a little soccer practice, a fire pit to roast marshmallows, and beach chairs to relax in after a full day of hiking, fly fishing, whale watching or walking around Comox/Courtenay/Campbell River. The location was centrally located to Mount Washington, whale watching out of Campbell River, hiking up to Ripple Rock, and other fantastic outdoor activities. Furthermore, Cathy made the rental transaction easy and painless. I strongly recommend that you stay at the Beachwood House and enjoy all that the Comox Valley offers."

  • PEACE ON EARTH!

"The Boathouse is a place unto itself. It is a tranquil, peaceful and quaint. There is no other place where I would be willing to walk outside to get to the bathhouse. Oddly, here it just seems natural. The cottage and the bathhouse were squeaky clean. The chairs in the cottage's library were fantastically comfortable and when combined with the view of the bay made for the perfect place to linger over morning coffee. One of my fondest memories of The Boathouse will always be sipping wine while sitting in rocking chairs on the dock. I would caution those who want to experience this great place to pack lightly. The steps down to the cottage are many, but the thoughtful landings make it less of a problem. Harvey and Jean were wonderful hosts. Thank you, Harvey, for suggesting the Brentwood Pub, for dinner. We ended up eating there three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it each night. Thank you, Jean, for telling Curt about Cathedral Grove on Highway #4. We stopped there on our way back to Nanaimo from Ucluelet and loved it. What a beautiful place! It was a peaceful and special place - just like The Boathouse."

  • This is no April fools!

"I almost hesitate to tell you how great it is to stay at Don and Susan's place because it will be 100% booked in no time!! ( just kidding!). We are so pleased every time we stay there because of the location, the cleanliness and they way the place it outfitted. Having a top drawer coffer maker, we got spoiled by having espresso and cappuccino almost every morning. Add a two block walk to the wonderful Sidney bakery and you have it made! So handy to grocery stores and if you want to head into Victoria, just hop the bus ( be sure and take the 70X and sit up top for some awesome scenery!) Have $2.50 for exact fare and you are good to go! From comfortable linen's and towels to a wonderful king sized bed.. it was a great place to stay while visiting family in the area! Thank you Don and Susan, we will be back "soon"!!"

  • Good for a much needed chill out!

"We were a group of 6 Brits doing a 3 week tour and the Torino house was always seen as our chance for a chill out! All in all it delivered and was as we expected. What was a bit lacking was a lack of certain kitchen equipment - maybe some extra glasses, small saucepans, a strainer for pasta etc. We reported mugs missing and they were replaced and a lot of light bulbs were missing as well. I believe that the owners were having a few problems and were not aware of some of the things that were missing and we were given a small refund which was a nice gesture. Thank you. Maybe leave a check list so we know what we should have and then we could have let you know straight away what was missing? The hot tub is just that - lovely and hot and the house is plenty big enough for 6 adults. It is 3 double rooms and a huge living room and large BBQ. Not much is within walking distance so a car is a must but the area is a delight! All in all a few minus points but on the whole it gets a thumbs up from us!"
