"I've visited the Comox Valley area many times in the past but this is the first time staying at Hidden Springs Retreat! It was such a relaxing getaway, especially having my 4 month old son with us :) It was such a cozy and tranquil place to stay with the large soaker tub, beautiful kitchen, amazing deck/balcony sitting area, and bead-boarding wall details (this last piece gives the place such charm!) I was there to run a half marathon and Bill and Dorothy were such great hosts letting us have a late check-out time the day of my race so I could use the hot tub for my sore muscles before hitting the road. They are such lovely people and made us feel so at home during our stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thanks again for the great weekend, Bill & Dorothy!"

"My fiance and I are from Oklahoma, and we wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary for our honeymoon and we settled on Victoria (which was an excellent idea) and ended up in this loft! It was my first VRBO experience so I don't have anything to go off of, but I can definitely say that this loft was everything I hoped it would be.
Location - PERFECT - we bought some bus tickets when we arrived, and we didn't even end up using them all because we could walk virtually everywhere we wanted to go! The loft itself is beautiful and the pictures hardly do it justice. It's in a gated building and we felt much more secluded than we would have in a hotel of twice the cost... I don't think I even recall seeing/hearing any neighbors. In regards to noise from the street, I would say it's just something you have to expect being in a busy part of town, we definitely didn't have a hard time sleeping!
My only critique would be the the property management company. I informed them about 2 weeks prior to departure that my flight will be arriving around 9 pm (they had never asked what time I was arriving, that I recall), and for some reason they kind've panicked and decided to mail me my room keys to Oklahoma so they wouldn't have to meet me that late in Victoria to get me the keys. The keys didn't make it to OK in time, so I ended up having to hunt down my room key at the airport because they decided to drop off a spare key for me to pickup. Ended up being an extra hour of hassle to find the dang keys, after 6 hours of traveling... not what you want to worry about first thing you arrive to your honeymoon destination.
Again, the loft is everything I could have imagined, just be sure you work out all of your arrival/departure details LONG before you get there! Apparently it's a little too much work to get your client's their room key after 5pm."

"We were a group of 8 women who have known each other most of our lives. Once every couple of years we try to gather together to catch up. This was our second stay at Imagine Beach Cottage. We looked for something closer to Victoria that could match it and just didn't find anything that hit every point on our wish list while staying inside our budget (It worked out to about $25 each per night).
Stay here if you want; a decent sized hot tub; to fall asleep watching the waves out the window; a private setting; a big fireplace; a (remarkably) well stocked kitchen (even an angel food cake tin... I mean, really!), a kitchen layout that lets us all cook together at once; enough sleeping spaces for everyone; a indoor space conducive to sitting around in a circle yet providing plenty of opportunity to go off in private groups of two or three; breathtaking natural beauty; pets allowed; and a store within walking distance.
The booking and check-in process is very easy, our damage deposit was refunded as promised with no prompting, and the owner and manager are both super friendly and easy to deal with. My only complaint is that 3 days really wasn't enough. We will be back."

"I just returned from staying at this awesome little place. I had a great stay and Cathie and Ron are great hosts. The homemade scones and strawberry jam are so delicious.
I have already booked for next year. I recommend staying here when you want to visit Victoria."
