  • Great Times on the Lake

"This was an awesome house to have on the lake for the week! Especially for families, with the rec room full of toys upstairs to the beachfront that kids can wade in from, this was exactly what we were looking for. Great location on the sunny side of the lake too! Had all the stuff you need at a lake ( water toys, lots of towels, BBQ, huge patio) and an awesome dock to laze away the afternoons. Not to far from amenities either, if your running low on stuff. Can't wait to get back there next year!"

  • Great location in downtown Victoria

"This is a really nice condo just a 5 minute walk from everything Victoria has to offer visitors. The condo is on the 5th floor (elevator serviced) and the view is over a serene park like setting. Important things to know: quiet, private, secure, immaculately clean, dedicated and secure underground parking spot (although those without a car won't need one), and well equipped. Everything works! We would suggest the 2nd bedroom and adjacent bathroom is OK but it's better suited, IMHO, for children. That's not to say adults can't use it but the master bedroom and ensuite bath is the nicer of the 2. In our case, and likely in many, a single couple may be using the condo so it won't be a concern. Would we stay here again? Yes! Would we recommend it to our friends? Yes! A really nice grocery store, BTW, is a short 5-7 minute walk. The Market at Yates (corner of Quaddra) is excellent. Make certain to enjoy dinner at Cafe Brio on Fort Street! It's a short walk and one of favorite restaurants anywhere. The owner called us to make certain everything was OK...nice touch!"

  • Great experience! Serene and Private

"We had a great time at this lake house. There were 10 of us, and we slept comfortably with a few people (and couples) sharing beds. The house is surrounded by a few other lake houses, but I don't think many people were around since it was winter time, so we felt very secluded and private and thoroughly enjoyed our time! Make sure to make use of the fire pit out back, it's a beautiful setting, and bring a canoe or a kayak to use on the lake like we did! The guest house is an awesome addition if you have a few extra bodies, as it has its own master bathroom and laundry. Thanks again!"

  • Wonderful escape from the city

"We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this wonderfully set and appointed cottage. We booked a year in advance after a work friend's high recommendation. We were not disappointed! The cottage is charmingly rustic yet has every modern amenity required for a comfortable stay with fully equipped kitchen, laundry, entertainment and wifi for your use. The owners are very warm and friendly and go about their animal/garden chores quietly in their adjacent property, making it easy to communicate any needs or to ask for any recommendations on local sightseeing etc. We enjoyed every chance to chat while relaxing in the back garden in between activities we had planned. We had beach days, lots of walks and exploring around local and further afield island areas including day visits to Victoria, Parksville and Nanaimo...all reasonably close car rides. For us, honestly it was one our best vacations ever. Living far away from island and area family it was a joy to be able to invite family for dinners and host- something we have not been able to do from standard hotel rooms. While very hot days saw the West facing kitchen/dining area heat uncomfortably, it was only at late afternoon and bedroom and livingroom areas were much cooler with options of microwaving or bbq to avoid heating kitchen for those times. Our teenage sons both really enjoyed their stay and were enthusiastic about returning for a future vacation. Our 10 month old puppy probably enjoyed his vacation the most, making friends with the family's small dog, and getting tons of walks in the bucolic countryside. Undeniably the best value for your vacationing dollar, our visiting family members loved the setting and thanked us for such a relaxing and pleasant time! We definitely plan to return and highly recommend staying if you are looking for a restful, enjoyable getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life."
