"We truely enjoyed our stay with our daughter (18 months). The location just across from the National Park with nice quiet trails and beach access made it almost unneccessary to go anywhere else. From Parksville it is only a short drive in all directions so we did go to see other parts of the island, too. The cottage itself is equipped better than I could ever have expected it to be. Beside all cleaning supplies we truely appreciated beach towels, toys, swimming noodles etc. I haven't ever stayed in a holiday house I didn't miss anything in the kitchen! The bed was comfi, the bathroom really nice-we were totally happy with the cottage."

"Six women- friends from grade school and university- have just stayed for our second annual visit at Dutchess Manor. It is the perfect spot for a group of this size. The house is meticulously clean and well appointed, the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need, including a champagne bucket! With five bedrooms and a den, we were each able to have our own space. Mornings, we had coffee sitting on the beach right in front and evenings we shared happy hour on the expansive waterfront lawn or glass fronted deck. Weather couldn't have been better and the regular sight of eagles overhead, herons wading on the beach and cruise ships passing at night all added to our idyllic six days together. We laughed, sang, cried and generally carried on as lifelong friends are meant to do. Thanks for making our reunions so special. We will be back!"

"My wife and I just spent a wonderful month on the shores of the Salish Sea, across from Lasqueti Island in this immaculate well appointed house near Qualicum Beach. From early morning to last light there was always lots of action with the seals, sea lions, eagles, herons and seagulls . Whenever the wind picked up the kite and wind surfers showed up and provided entertainment for hours on end.
The house was immaculate, 'well staged', very clean and completely comfortable. The kitchen, which also has a great ocean view, was well stocked with cooking utensils, dishes and even condiments to assist with preparation of meals."

"I stayed at Tanglewood this summer and my goodness was it everything I dreamed of and more for a vacation rental! It's right on the beach....nothing like waking up to a gorgeous view seen through the giant windows in the living room. The kitchen is huge and there is a bbq so you have everything you need to make meals. The owners have thought of everything! There are kayaks, floaties and numerous sand toys. The location is super close to Riptide minigolf and the condo is right beside Rathtrevor Park which offers numerous trails. I highly recommend this place !!"
