  • A Holiday We Will Never Forget

"We have just returned from the most amazing holiday and the accommodations were a huge factor in this. There were 6 adult family members, from 3 different provinces, and everything about this home exceeded all our expectations. The kitchen was large enough for everyone to have their own work space, even the husbands. Imagine that!! Everything was well maintained, well laid out and great instructions for any questions we might have had. The weather was getting a bit cool, but we were still able to enjoy the pool and hot tub . The deck and coffee bar were the best places to start and end each day in the most peaceful and relaxing of ways. There is something about watching the sunrise over the Coast Mountains and listening to the waves that will just make your day that much more enjoyable. The Comox Valley kept us busy with many places to visit and while we would have enjoyed dining at a few more of the local restaurants, most evenings the 6 of us bought fresh, local seafood and veggies to take home to cook on the bbq and enjoy with many of the wines we purchased from the area. We would highly recommend this place. It was a true pleasure to stay here and we are looking forward to returning in 2015."

  • Amazing view and great location close to town!

"The house is in an incredible location, walking distance to town and Tonquin beach. We were wowed as soon as we walked in by the view from both inside the house and from the deck. Sunsets were incredible and we enjoyed watching the resident bald eagle as he swooped around the property. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub was well used and overall the house was a good deal for the money. The house was clean, well maintained and the property managers were pleasant to deal with. Our only complaint was regarding the kitchen....we as regular renters of vacation properties and "foodies" like to do quite a bit of cooking for ourselves. This kitchen was really not set up for that. The stove was not only very complicated to use, but also didn't work about 80% of the time. The dishwasher was iffy at times, the ice machine in the fridge didn't work, the BBQ not that great and the kitchen wasn't that well stocked with serving dishes. We had arranged for a personal chef (Darcy McBride of Dish Personal Chef Service) to cook for us one night and our meal was almost stymied by the stove quitting on us. Thank goodness for the hot plates we found in a storage closet upstairs. I would recommend putting in a simple "north american" gas stove, a new "north american dishwasher, and stocking the kitchen with some more serving dishes in order to make dining at home an easier experience. If you are planning on eating dinner at restaurants most nights, then this house is a perfect match. We highly recommend the Wolf in the Fog for dinner, Tacofino for lunch and Common Loaf for breakfast. Finally, if you are interested in having someone prepare meals for you, contact Darcy McBride #TofinoDish, our experience was incredible. Overall, I would go back to Pacific Retreat, in fact we plan to in August 2017!"

  • Paradise

"We had the most amazing week staying at this condo. The ocean view was spectacular and the most amazing sun rises. We had our two grandchildren stay with us and they totally loved the pool, tennis court, playground and had fun collecting rocks and shells to paint. The condo was very clean and well-maintained. We had lots of room. I found the kitchen to have everything you would possibly need plus a good variety of movies, games etc. We found the grounds were very well maintained. Donna was very pleasant to work with, she answered any questions we had and gave us lots of ideas for sight seeing in the area. We found it to be in a good central location on the island, easy access to everything. It was the most peaceful place to spend a relaxing vacation, just like paradise. I loved listening to the ocean at night. One of the nearby restaurants we enjoyed was the Crow and Gate English Pub. The food was amazing and we loved sitting outside and enjoying the English gardens. We also took in the Farmer's Market by this pub which is held every Sunday morning. They had the most delicious artisan breads plus lots of other fresh vegetables and baking. We also would highly recommend Robert's Pizza in Ladysmith which was outstanding. Of course you have to go and have the famous Cinnamon Buns at the Old Town Bakery in Ladysmith. We could not get over all the varieties they had. We would certainly recommend this condo to our friends. We definitely will return and our grandchildren did not want to leave because they had so much fun at this resort. They also can't wait to return. Thanks Donna for sharing your lovely home with us. Looking forward to returning back to this paradise resort."

  • Peaceful Serenity

"My husband and I along with my two sons and girlfriend had the pleasure of staying at the Seascapes Tofino Vacation Home....Wow !!!....was all we heard coming from the kids' voices...the view is absolutely amazing , the sound of the waves coming through the large picture windows was truly tranquil.....we walked every day along the ocean side, just mesmerized in the beauty, ..... my husband and I have been coming to Tofino just about every year for the past 13 years and always are amazed in the peacefulness and beauty of this little gem of a town, this is our first time staying at Seascapes and the house itself is so roomy and provides privacy for everyone staying in the home, very well equipped with all your essentials plus a whole lot of extras, you basically only need to bring your clothes and food .... we know that if you decide to stay at this Home, you will not be dissappointed in any way.... thank you to Maret and Lyle for the wonderful experience at Seascapes... Cheers :)"
