"This home is a gem. It's about 30 minutes from Victoria but you feel like you're much further away. Our first day we saw six boats but about double that many kayakers. For the power boats, we have usually seen that many in about ten minutes at other waterfront locations we've rented. In the week we were there, we only saw one other car on the road in front of the house while we were driving.
The house is very well maintained and the kitchen is stocked with many dry food items beyond what you normally find. We brought two kayaks and launched them from the bottom steps. About ten minutes south is a provincial park which made for some great sightseeing from the water. Lots of wildlife in the area, especially deer.
There were lots of things to do nearby. We toured Butchart Gardens on a Saturday in August and stayed to enjoy their fireworks show. We also toured a winery and cider maker, went to the Sidney street fair and spent a day in Victoria.
This was a hard place to leave. I hope we can return soon."

"We were delighted with this cabin. It is beautifully finished inside and out (lovely peaceful deck area). The owners were very prompt to answer questions and help in any way they could. There are lots of great things to do in the area for families. I would certainly recommend it, and would stay there again."

"We were a group of 6 Brits doing a 3 week tour and the Torino house was always seen as our chance for a chill out! All in all it delivered and was as we expected. What was a bit lacking was a lack of certain kitchen equipment - maybe some extra glasses, small saucepans, a strainer for pasta etc. We reported mugs missing and they were replaced and a lot of light bulbs were missing as well. I believe that the owners were having a few problems and were not aware of some of the things that were missing and we were given a small refund which was a nice gesture. Thank you. Maybe leave a check list so we know what we should have and then we could have let you know straight away what was missing?
The hot tub is just that - lovely and hot and the house is plenty big enough for 6 adults. It is 3 double rooms and a huge living room and large BBQ. Not much is within walking distance so a car is a must but the area is a delight! All in all a few minus points but on the whole it gets a thumbs up from us!"

"The Inn of the Sea was an exceptional accommodation for us on our first trip to Vancouver. The condo was well furnished, with the owners clearly anticipating any needs that their tenants may need. The location is perfect to serve as a home base from which to explore the beauty that the Island has to offer. We kayaked in Tofino, hiked on Cowichan and biked in Victoria while staying at our condo in Ladysmith. But with the opportunity to play tennis, soak in the hot tub, swim in the pool, or kayak right from the condo shoreline, there was no need to travel to enjoy an activity rich vacation. No downside at all!"
