"The house was beautiful! Very clean, nicely decorated, high end appliances and very cozy comfy beds and bedding. House was well stocked with towels, essential toiletries etc. patio furniture and BBQ were a bonus and the view and the beach were amazing. Only down side was the well water, and the landscaping was in a little poor condition."

"We're just home from an absolutely fabulous holiday on Vancouver Island, staying at the Beach House. From the moment we walked in we were bowled over by the layout, furnishings, kitchen set-up, and - most of all - the view. Between this house and the ocean is a two-level deck, a 10-m shingle path, and a driftwood log. That's it! The swimming at low tide was awesome. The hot tub was delightful. And we never got tired of the view east across the strait to Texada Island and the snow-capped mountains on the mainland behind. Early-morning breakfast on the deck required sunglasses, and the light didn't fade from the sky until after 11 pm. There are lots of things to see and do within a couple of hours drive. We recommend heading north to Denman and Hornby Islands; driving inland to Spider Lake, Coomes, Cathedral Grove, and Port Alberni; going south to Qualicum Beach and Parksville for beach walks and kayaking. Take swimsuits and towels wherever you go! We sampled the wine at 40 Knots Winery, enjoyed scallops from the store in Bowser, and gorged ourselves on local cherries.
We loved it so much, we extended our stay for another day. Thanks, Jim!"

"We arrived at Sandy Beach House this June and we're delighted with our stay! It is approximately 20 minutes from Qualicum Beach and just 5-10 minutes up island to Bowser. There is no coffee pot, but excellent coffee can be found at the Bean Counter in Bowser. There is also a great grocery and liquor store up that way.
The house is very spacious with three bedrooms and a large bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with laundry and dishwasher. We stayed with two young children and two seniors. We loved the privacy of this house and beach. When there are renters upstairs, it can be a bit noisy, but not any more than any hotel we've stayed in. When the tide is out the beach is paradise! Our kids (and us Adults as well!) loved finding Clams, crabs, sand dollars and all kinds of treasures. We enjoyed fires by the beach at night and found an abundance of firewood and propane to use. There is awesome fresh seafood at Buckley Bay and we loved buying shrimp and prawns right off the dock at Comox Wharf. We rented a paddle board from Courtney (three days for $80) and they were experts about strapping it safely to our rental van. The trip to the beach is pretty rocky, my parents used walking sticks they found along the beach to help them get up and down.
This house offers great location, space, privacy and value. We can't wait to return!"
