""Wow" describes the total picture from location to view. The sights from the livingroom and the wonderful balcony are amazing. Birds and boats are fun to watch for all us prairie folk.
Groceries across the street, fresh fish daily at the pier out front, numerous restaurants, Haro's Restaurant in the building has great food and live music every Thursday evening too. The Sidney Pier and waterdfront walk is a great place to start each day while listening to the gulls and the ocean.
The village of Sidney extends up the street from this location and offers everything you need from groceries to fresh local flowers and many nice shops to temp you....all just steps from your door.
We are garden lovers. Sidney is known for it's bookstores....but I must say it should be known for it's tulips and all the other flowering trees and bushes...truly an amazing site to anyone who spends winter in Edmonton.
The Crown Jewel in tulips has got to be Butchart Gardens. I think they must have every possible variety of tulip on the planet....and at least a thousand or two of each!
We loved the short ferry hops to the Gulf Islands...35 -45 minutes to Salt Spring Island or Pender Island brings you to a very different lifestyle. Their weekend Farmers Markets offer amazing varieties in everything from foods to artwork.
Beach walks abound... Oak Bay, Cordova Bay, and The Esquimalt Lagoon were 3 of our favorites.
Thank you Hugh for this wonderful opportunity to escape to beautiful Sidney by the Sea! We would love to return someday soon."

"I almost hesitate to tell you how great it is to stay at Don and Susan's place because it will be 100% booked in no time!! ( just kidding!). We are so pleased every time we stay there because of the location, the cleanliness and they way the place it outfitted. Having a top drawer coffer maker, we got spoiled by having espresso and cappuccino almost every morning. Add a two block walk to the wonderful Sidney bakery and you have it made! So handy to grocery stores and if you want to head into Victoria, just hop the bus ( be sure and take the 70X and sit up top for some awesome scenery!) Have $2.50 for exact fare and you are good to go! From comfortable linen's and towels to a wonderful king sized bed.. it was a great place to stay while visiting family in the area!
Thank you Don and Susan, we will be back "soon"!!"

Splended location to celebrate my 70th year of life!
"I chose to take seven really close women friends to Selwyn House to celebrate my 70th birthday weekend. What a heavenly location to sit and view the wonder that is our supernatural Province of BC. The views from the deck are magical, as is the comfort of all the rooms and amenities. Everything is decorated and furnished to provide the ultimate vacation experience. We were all very impressed with this wonderful home, the gardens, the outside and inside seating and the well equipped kitchen which was used to whip up some really good meals. I recommend this house to anyone who really knows that vacations are for relaxation and for taking stock of what really matters in this life."

Loved the quiet and serene ambiance that this beautiful suite offers!
"Hi and thank you so much. Really enjoyed our stay at the suite. It is so peaceful and relaxing there and so nice to take in the restaurants and the waterfront walk. It is such a nice place to be.Really enjoyed the spa like bathroom and the wine and chocolates were an enjoyable treat! I will definitely recommend it. We went to Butchart Gardens and I was so amazed at the number of flowers blooming at this time of year. (April 2015) It was every bit as gorgeous as in the summer!
