""Wow" describes the total picture from location to view. The sights from the livingroom and the wonderful balcony are amazing. Birds and boats are fun to watch for all us prairie folk.
Groceries across the street, fresh fish daily at the pier out front, numerous restaurants, Haro's Restaurant in the building has great food and live music every Thursday evening too. The Sidney Pier and waterdfront walk is a great place to start each day while listening to the gulls and the ocean.
The village of Sidney extends up the street from this location and offers everything you need from groceries to fresh local flowers and many nice shops to temp you....all just steps from your door.
We are garden lovers. Sidney is known for it's bookstores....but I must say it should be known for it's tulips and all the other flowering trees and bushes...truly an amazing site to anyone who spends winter in Edmonton.
The Crown Jewel in tulips has got to be Butchart Gardens. I think they must have every possible variety of tulip on the planet....and at least a thousand or two of each!
We loved the short ferry hops to the Gulf Islands...35 -45 minutes to Salt Spring Island or Pender Island brings you to a very different lifestyle. Their weekend Farmers Markets offer amazing varieties in everything from foods to artwork.
Beach walks abound... Oak Bay, Cordova Bay, and The Esquimalt Lagoon were 3 of our favorites.
Thank you Hugh for this wonderful opportunity to escape to beautiful Sidney by the Sea! We would love to return someday soon."

"This basement apartment is a gem located in the heart of Sidney within walking distance of eateries, bookstores and shopping. The apartment is bright, well appointed and cozy. If we ever need a place to stay again in Sidney, this apartment is the place."

"Our stay at the suite was better than we expected. The suite is clean and well maintained and the local wine, flowers and chocolates were appreciated. The location is great with lots of available parking. Please don't let the small kitchenette put you off, it is very efficient and stocked with everything you need to be fully self sufficient. The gardens are beautiful and the fully unobstructed view is a dream, we spent a lot of time watching the boats go by. The local Thrifty Foods has an excellent bakery, deli and meat department.
Sidney was itself a lovely surprise and warrants recognition as a desirable vacation spot in its own right. We had viewed this vacation as a trip to Victoria but enjoyed Sidney so much that we spent most of our time there. The extensive walking paths, excellent customer service and friendly people have us planning to return."

"This is a very attractive condo. The photos really don't do it justice. We were immediately impressed with how spacious it is, and the patio is a delight. We were able to walk just about everywhere we wanted or needed and rarely used the car we had borrowed. We had a lovely time!"
