Perfect getaway for a young family
"This property is beautiful, clean, modern and everything we could have asked for. Kempton and Lucy were excellent to deal with. With 2 children under 2 years of age, this condo offered the perfect mix of amenities, location, size and layout to accommodate our needs. Our oldest took over the den, which was an ideal sized room for his travel bed and there was plenty of room for our youngest's bassinet in the master. The outdoor pool was also a wonderful feature which we took advantage of nearly every afternoon we were there. The close proximity to Beacon Hill Park, James Bay and the rest of downtown, made stroller walks uncomplicated with many options. We will definitely be back!"

"Thank you, Leslie and Roger, for offering up your condo for rent. This was a great location within easy walking distance to many of the iconic sites of downtown Victoria. We are cruise travel agents, so watching the cruise ships come and go was fun. We know the Maitre' d on one of the Princess ships. We picked him up and had breakfast at Blue Fox Cafe. He's been there before, and he loves it. We also adopted Cook Village as our favorite hang-out. Great restaurants and coffee joints. A previous reviewer mentioned the loud noise from the power washing next door. Yes, that was an irritant. But we were out and about most days, and it was quite and delightful in the evenings. The weather was exceptionally beautiful the entire month of June. We plan to return again next summer."

"Our host met us when we arrived at the property in Victoria and showed us the lovely apartment overlooking a busy main street in Victoria. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the spacious apartment with the exposed brick walls and bustling street below. Very nice urban feel to the place. The apartment was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The one piece of false advertising here is the "gourmet" kitchen. Not true. It was definitely a full kitchen with all the appliances - but it did not even have a coffee grinder or a garlic press. It was fine and met our needs - but it was far from a gourmet kitchen. Also the only place to eat in is at the kitchen counter - which again is fine for a quick bite - but not a lovely gourmet meal.
Besides the bit of what we considered false advertising - the place was great and the host was really nice and accommodating.
The location was great and easy to get where we wanted to go all around Victoria by foot or bus. We had a couple great meals at the little Mediterranean restaurant called Mint near by and took a 1-hr city bus ride (bus stop was a few blocks away) to Buchart Gardens - which was a really wonderful trip! Oh and the Victoria Public Market at the Hudson had really great food to go - the rotisserie chicken was great and the fish and chips were really very good too!"

"This lovely property opposite Beacon Hill Park more than met our needs, perfectly! The location is close to downtown and only 2 blocks from Cook St Village. This would be an ideal location, if you did not wish to rent a car but there is off street parking, if you do. Cook St. Village has just about everything you would need; groceries, health food stores, drug stores, restaurants and great coffee shops! The suite's location is also off the main traffic routes, so it is also very quite.
The lower suite is wonderfully appointed with everything you would need to make your meals at home. It's as if the owners lived there and made sure you would have everything imaginable to feel at home. We were there for several months, so we prepared many of our meals in the suite. The two bedrooms are nicely separate, if you wanted to share with family or another couple. The furnishings were up to date and very comfortable for longer stays. The gas fireplace was a real treat and the private, side patio a lovely spot to enjoy our morning coffee.
Nancy the manager, was great! Very professional, yet warm and most helpful with anything we might have wanted but honestly there were very few things that needed her attention. This property is a gem and we would make it our first choice, for our next visit to Victoria.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, we are missing it already! Susan & Steven"
