"My friend and I stayed a week at this lovely 1 BR condo at Bear Mountain. The location was ideal for me, as I needed a quiet place to relax in the evenings. It had all the amenities required including BBQ, fireplace and well-stocked kitchen to make some fantastic dinner. We played golf and enjoyed being able to walk to the golf course. I particularly loved the balcony, which faced the golf course, couldn’t have asked for a better view. The place was immaculate and the AC worked good above expectations.
The only thing is that this condo is further away from Victoria’s main attraction, so you will need to rent a vehicle or catch a taxi to reach the city’s center. But, if you want to take the parking and driving hassles out of your vacation, Trolley bus stops are just 2 blocks away from the condo. Nearby we found nice restaurants, café and convenient stores. It’s a wonderful place! Would definitely stay here again."

An enjoyable one month stay in the heart of Victoria.
"Fabulous help from Liz in making the arrangements. She answered all of our questions promptly regarding the location, amenities of the suite and the availability of services in the vicinity of the Juliet. Lawrence McDonald was our Concierge and met us upon our arrival. He was very personable, and very helpful during our stay. The central location of the Juliet to markets, restaurants. pubs, fitness club, major bus stops and shopping was excellent. Walks to the inner harbor (Empress) were less than 15 minutes. Being located at the intersection of 2 busy streets however resulted in early morning noise from garbage trucks (dumpsters) and many sirens during the night. You learn to tune out some of it after awhile. The suite itself was located on the 8th floor. It was clean and comfortable, but is due for a painting sometime in the near future. Nice view of the downtown area and hills in the distance. Elevator service was a small issue in the first week, but after repairs had been made, it was excellent. Overall, a memorable stay (despite cool weather). We would stay at the Juliet again and our rating is 4 1/2 stars."

"We stayed here for a week this summer with 3 adults and our tiny Papillion and found it to be a great location to get away from the "city" but close enough for sightseeing and shopping. Fenced yard so the puppy could explore. Clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities, including a cork screw. Situated half way between downtown Victoria and Oak Bay we were able to see both and still take some excursions to the lighthouse, butterfly garden and Cordova Bay. A little far to walk to the sites but not bad if you are fairly fit. Owner is a great hostess but not intrusive. We will definitely check this location for availability next time we go to Victoria."

"One of the special features of this home is its location - you drive up and around a mountain on a winding road that eventually runs along the ocean, about 15 minutes from Brentwood Bay. Keep an eye out for deer, bikers, other cars, and--unfortunately--police radar traps. The house is on the water below the road, accessed by a steep driveway (as are most houses along Mark Lane), and near some beautiful hiking trails along the ocean.
The first thing you'll notice upon entering the house is its bright and cheerful quality, with large windows looking out on the water on all 3 levels. The downstairs includes the kitchen and living area facing west and with a high ceiling that keeps the house bright even on darker days. The furniture is clean and comfortable throughout, and the house is wonderfully stocked with everything you need for either a short or longer stay. We particularly liked the tasteful and understated elegance of the decorating scheme, which adds to the overall cheerful quality. We would prefer a king-size bed to the master bedroom and a larger flat-screen TV in the living room with HD instead of SD reception.
Overall, the house has a vibe that says the owners really care about the place and want their guests to have a pleasant stay without complications. It is about 20 minutes from shopping and restaurants, about 30 from Victoria to the south and Sydney to the north. Victoria is a stunningly beautiful place to visit, easy to get around, lush and green and flowering almost everywhere and the ocean all around you. Check out Victoria's amazing bakeries and seafood restaurants as you explore the city and the peninsula. We rent ocean-side properties quite frequently, and it's without reservation that we can recommend "The Cottage" as one of the best homes and locations we've ever discovered. Three cheers to the owners for the care and consideration in offering their home to us!"
