  • PEACE ON EARTH!

"The Boathouse is a place unto itself. It is a tranquil, peaceful and quaint. There is no other place where I would be willing to walk outside to get to the bathhouse. Oddly, here it just seems natural. The cottage and the bathhouse were squeaky clean. The chairs in the cottage's library were fantastically comfortable and when combined with the view of the bay made for the perfect place to linger over morning coffee. One of my fondest memories of The Boathouse will always be sipping wine while sitting in rocking chairs on the dock. I would caution those who want to experience this great place to pack lightly. The steps down to the cottage are many, but the thoughtful landings make it less of a problem. Harvey and Jean were wonderful hosts. Thank you, Harvey, for suggesting the Brentwood Pub, for dinner. We ended up eating there three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it each night. Thank you, Jean, for telling Curt about Cathedral Grove on Highway #4. We stopped there on our way back to Nanaimo from Ucluelet and loved it. What a beautiful place! It was a peaceful and special place - just like The Boathouse."

  • Location, location, location.

"We love to walk, and we wanted to see downtown Victoria, and we found this Townhome to be the perfect place to stay. Just one block from China town, we cut through every time we went for a walk. There was always something interesting going on there. My wife and I are vegan, and Victoria is the most vegan friendly city we have ever visited. Be Love and Rebar were two of the best restaurants that we have found. And don't leave without taking a whale tour. After cruising with a pod of killer whales, I will never be the same. The Waterfront Loft was as nice as the pictures. I enjoy cooking, and found the kitchen to be fully stocked with the appropriate cookware for making some nice meals at home. After a trip to the farmers market, we found everything we needed to prepare the food. Frances was very helpful when we arrived and made up feel very welcome. We had a rental car, and it was parked close to the door and very convenient. A two block drive and you are on the main road to the airport. The loft could not have been in a better location. We are already discussing dates for a return to Victoria. It is a beautiful city."

  • Gorgeous

"The booking was so easy and the condo was exactly as pictured. The view was even better than the pictures show. At lease 10 ft. high windows so light streams in. From the condo and huge balcony, you can see the inner harbour and watch float planes take off and land. You can see boats zipping around the harbour too. It is only a short 7 minute walk to the harbour and 20 minutes to walk to Beacon Hill Park. Restaurants and bars, grocery and clothing store within minutes. We parked our car in the underground garage and hardly used it the month we were there. The condo is well stocked even for four people with plenty of wine glasses! The two bedrooms are at each end of the condo so pefect for two couples sharing. The roof top terrace has 360 deg. views of the entire city plus two BBQs! Lawrence the concierge was great. He was so helpful and accommodating and supplied us with lots of info about city sights and events. Perfect. We will definitely be back."

  • Family visit

"If staying more than three days it's great and would do it again. Needs a new bed for comfort. The area was good for walking for coffee, a shopping centre, and our family. The hosts were very friendly and the goodies were appreciated as we arrived late and had no time to get groceries. Thanks ."
