  • Wonderful Honeymoon

"My fiance and I are from Oklahoma, and we wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary for our honeymoon and we settled on Victoria (which was an excellent idea) and ended up in this loft! It was my first VRBO experience so I don't have anything to go off of, but I can definitely say that this loft was everything I hoped it would be. Location - PERFECT - we bought some bus tickets when we arrived, and we didn't even end up using them all because we could walk virtually everywhere we wanted to go! The loft itself is beautiful and the pictures hardly do it justice. It's in a gated building and we felt much more secluded than we would have in a hotel of twice the cost... I don't think I even recall seeing/hearing any neighbors. In regards to noise from the street, I would say it's just something you have to expect being in a busy part of town, we definitely didn't have a hard time sleeping! My only critique would be the the property management company. I informed them about 2 weeks prior to departure that my flight will be arriving around 9 pm (they had never asked what time I was arriving, that I recall), and for some reason they kind've panicked and decided to mail me my room keys to Oklahoma so they wouldn't have to meet me that late in Victoria to get me the keys. The keys didn't make it to OK in time, so I ended up having to hunt down my room key at the airport because they decided to drop off a spare key for me to pickup. Ended up being an extra hour of hassle to find the dang keys, after 6 hours of traveling... not what you want to worry about first thing you arrive to your honeymoon destination. Again, the loft is everything I could have imagined, just be sure you work out all of your arrival/departure details LONG before you get there! Apparently it's a little too much work to get your client's their room key after 5pm."

  • Rooftop Terrace Condo in Victoria Downtown, BC, Canada

"We stayed in the Rooftop Terrace from 10- 27 July, 2014. The check-in was efficeint and punctual. The 2- bedroom condo was very clean with modern facilities. The open terrace on the heritage building with the new BBQ grill and patio sitting was icing on the cake. Just as great as they have shown in the photos. The owner was very helpful whenever we needed any information and advice. The location was ideal. It was in the centre of all the key tourist attractions-- all within the walking distance along the Inner harbour-- which was our favourite place to spend the evening. We did not have to rent a car to see and enjoy Victoria. All the good restaurants are located near by -- from Fan Tan in China town to Milestone in the Inner Harbour and many others in between. The Red Fish & Blue Fish. sells probably the best sea food at the Inner Harbour-- but be prepared for a long line up. We have already recommended to some of our expat friends in Indonesia re the excellent location and facilities provided by the Rooftop Terrace. We plan to book it again for the next summer. Many thanks to the owner for such an enjoyable stay at the Rooftop Terrace with the perfect summer weather."

  • Loved it

"We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Booking and payment was very smooth. Francis picked us up at the airport and took us the scenic route into town and allowed us to pick up supplies. He was very friendly and a fony of interesting and useful information. The apartment is in a very nice building with good security. We were welcomed by a basket of fruit and a fantastic view. It is very nicely decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and had a pantry with more spices than we have a home. Large flat screen TV and comfy couch in front of a fireplace. Large balcony with great sunsets. Location is perfect-just across a park from Fisherman's Wharf. Great walks to Ogden Point and downtown along the sea wall. Supermarket and wine store 15 minutes walk. Bus right outside and a great seafood truck and store next door. Thanks for allowing us to stay."

  • East Coast parents with adult children in the West

"Our family of 6 (plus one dog) stayed here for our Christmas celebration. The house was perfect. It was close to everything - parks, dog-parks, downtown, Butchart Gardens, etc. The house offered enough space for the group to have some alone time as well as together time. The kids went canoeing on Christmas day after taking the dog for a run in the off-leash park in the morning. Cooking for a crowd was a treat with the spectacular view from the kitchen. We hope to return in the future."
