"My three sons and their families stayed with my husband and I for 7 days. My husband and I stayed 10 days. Our grandchildren are 5 years old and under and the house was perfect for them. Each of the two sons with families had their own space. Lots of area for the kids to play and decor isn't of the sort that we were worried they would break things. The stairway down to the ocean is accessible, just a few houses down. There is also a playground in this area. There are approximately 180 stairs down and 180 up so not for the faint of heart. Loved our stay and agree with the Atlanta review. Shopping is near by as is the highway that will take you to some of the best beaches in Canada."

"Stone Tree Cottage and Gardens is everything in Canada that is truly beautiful. An astonishing and breathtaking slice of beauty surrounding and encompassing the Russell family and those fortunate enough to stay awhile in their cottage. Our Fall experience with them was a holiday dream filled with excitement and peace.
Keith and Becci Russell personify quality and style. It isn't very often that you come across a gem when searching in this human pan for gold. We discovered two & it was a pleasure to be in their company. Thoughtful, practical, kind, funny and informative. Their daily work ensures each guest is comfortable in their cottage and in their country. Stone Tree Cottage and Gardens provides an utterly ideal retreat for the naturalists nature lovers or simply someone needing to rejuvenate. It's also ideal for families, couples, singles and adventure seekers as it's close proximity to the surrounding valley and island is fantastic. Everything is within walking distance yet a feeling of distance, time and seclusion envelopes you as you enter through the handcrafted garden doors. The gardens are idyllic and will make your heart sing in appreciation of the beauty of your surrounds. The depth of colours and textures provide so much alluring beauty in every direction and Keith and Becci are on hand to answer any questions you may have about any subject, from botanical names of plants to wildlife spotting areas. They share their experience with zest. This sculptor and artist are clever, creative and practical and their suggestions are thoughtful and sound. Long time locals, this area is their playground and they can guide you off the beaten tracks and beyond, enriching your Canadian experience. If it's solitude you're seeking you won't see them as they are intuitive and respectful to those sharing their space. The cottage is perfectly placed and provides peace and security as well as comfort and care. Spacious, fresh and inviting.
Tucked in between the artsy, eclectic villages nestled at the feet of the majestic Beaufort Mountains and the busy bustle of Courtenay. Tucked in between clean sheets on a bed akin to a cloud. A home away from home.
If Canada and all the beauty of this country and it's people could be popped into an acre. This is it."

"I had the challenge of arranging a Girlfriend's group for 8 women coming from all over the US. I felt the pressure, but Paul and his property came through with flying colors! It worked out very well as each of us had our own beds and with the many bathrooms, there was never an issue. The rooms were well maintained, nicely decorated and had all the amenities needed in each room for each guest. I have never been in a VRBO with so many nicely appointed rooms!
We had massages inside and bbq one night on the patio and it was a perfect time for us to unwind and just catch up. Paul even donated potatoes and joined us for dinner and talk on the patio! The house was above our expectations and I was very pleased.
Only improvement is to ensure there is more light between the house and the cottage each evening as it gets very dark and difficult to see!
Thanks again Paul for everything!! I would highly recommend your place to any guest!"

A great little cabin, stayed November 13th,14 th and 15th, 2015
"We stayed 3 nights. The cabin had everything we needed, just as advertised, to make our stay special. It was so clean, and the bed was so comfortable and we slept soundly. Annie and Chris were so kind, and thoughtful. Perfect Hosts. Thank you for allowing us to use the driveway to unload, and load our belonings from our car. That really helped us. Thank you for making our stay in Victoria special and a special thank you for allowing us to bring our toy poodle. This is the second VRBO accommodation we have stayed at and we will be booking "owners accommodations" through them from now on. We will be back next year and hopefully it will be earlier in the year, so that we may also enjoy your beautiful yard and patios. We would definitely recommend this property for those who want a clean, comfortable, private accommodation, with wonderful owners that take care of their guests. Take care Norm"
