"The cottage was amazing, clean, cozy and close to all amenities. The beach was only a 5 min bike ride and indoor/hot tub was right a cross from the cottage. We had great times all day at the beach and in the evening at the pool. The resort is a great central location, only 30 mins from the ferries and mins away from downtown Parksville. Very well maintained cottage and property. Absolute gem nestled south of Parksville. Our family will be definitely going back for years to come."

"This home has everything: incredible views of the inlet and mountains, singing birds, big comfortable beds, space for everybody and thoughtful attention to small details. We especially appreciated that each of our three kids was able to have their own space (thank you, loft), and that there were enough linens to accommodate this. I loved the clean, open, West Coast feel of the place and the cute surfer decor. There was not a single thing I could have needed that the kitchen didn't have; it even came with a full range of spices, sugar, etc. We totally relaxed in this home that's only five minutes from Ucluelet, and really appreciated (and followed!) all of Joanna's suggestions for hikes, beaches and activities. I would highly recommend this place to people looking for an all-amenities, hassle-free vacation in a gorgeous, pristine setting."

"We enjoyed our two week stay in this well cared for older home. The charming cottage is located within walking distance to downtown Courtenay's amenities including shops, cafes and groceries. Situated in a pleasantly landscaped yard, screened by hedges for privacy, we enjoyed the quiet location. The spacious interior has ample room and adequate cookware to prepare meals, bake a cake or entertain guests. All the appliances work well and the bathroom's clawfoot tub is wonderful for relaxing after a busy day of sight seeing. It's a bonus to have laundry on premises. We have been traveling for 15 months, so appreciated the space to spread out awhile. Maureen is always helpful and concerned about her guests comfort. When the temperature dropped below freezing she called to make certain we were staying warm enough. For convenience to downtown Courtenay and local Farmer's Market, this is hard to beat. We highly recommend you give it a try when visiting in the area. If it's not available, we also have experienced the Chocolate Cottage and it is equally wonderful, just smaller."

"We drove so the secure parking was a big help, but if we came on foot it would still have been perfect as the location could not be beat. A friend of mine stayed at a place right on the Inner Harbour and complained that it was too noisy - not the case here and only two blocks away. Loved the view from the balcony and was happy to have A.C. as it was a hot summer week. The kitchen had it all, though did not use it as there are so many fantastic restaurants in walking distance."
