"The house had everything we could possibly need, with lots of space. We are a family with three young children, and it suited us beautifully. The beach was fabulous, and the location very private - yet just a short drive to Masset (for groceries/restaurants/etc.) and also trails at Naikoon Provincial Park. Kitchen was well stocked for any chef, and we all enjoyed all the wonderful Haida artwork throughout. We felt very comfortable here, and Jody went out of her way to make us feel welcome and ensured that we had everything we needed. Would definitely return."

"Right from the start, communication with Jody was amazing; she was helpful, kind and informative.
We were welcomed with open arms to this truly incredible haven.
The carriage house is impeccably furnished with comfortable surroundings, and stunning art work. We enjoyed cooking many meals in the professionally outfitted kitchen. What a joy it was to sit at the elegant dining table and look out at the ocean.
We were treated to fresh eggs, raspberries and fresh produce every day.
We especially loved our daily visits with Chelsea the resident lovely lab (don't forget to bring her a treat). Also, not be missed the the three little pigs, we enjoyed their antics so much...Olivia, Spot and Oreo also love a special treat everyday.
Mike the caretaker was so very helpful and attentive, we loved his bantams...he keeps the grounds immaculate.
It was a bucket list adventure of a lifetime, we are so grateful to have chosen this property and to have met the owners.
Book it now!"

"I honestly can’t imagine a more perfect rental for a family, on Haida Gwaii. The Tlell river is truly on your doorstep, and the ocean is just a few minutes’ walk away. Ranchers Don and Leslie are the nicest hosts you could ever have, and gave our 6 year-old ranch experiences she’ll never forget – helping to move cattle from pasture to pasture, feeding the horses, pony rides, collecting eggs from the chickens, running amok with the farm cats, fishing in the river, riding in a row boat, and more. The guest house is an original farmhouse from the early 20th century. It brings back memories for any of us who had family that used to farm, and yet all the modern conveniences are available, in humble measure (e.g. wireless access for us technology addicts, but don’t expect lightening speeds). I’ll never forget drinking wine out in front of the house, watching the sun set over the river, and having the horses meander over to “nose in” on what we were up to (the horses are often “free-range” and make great lawn mowers). For those of you that love natural beauty and can appreciate the priceless opportunity to share with your children what a working ranch is really like (cow pies and all!), I cannot recommend the ranch highly enough. The ranch is also mid-island and make for a great base camp for exploring all of what Haida Gwaii has to offer."
