  • The Wonderfujl Post & Beam Home

"The beautiful Post & Beam. What a wonderful way to wake up in Canada, as we arrived in the dark from Vancouver at 9.30 pm. Looking across towards the Okanagan Lake was the most marvelous view from the deck and one we never got tired of during our four day stay. The only downside was having to leave and not been able to stay in this perfect home for longer. Everything was first class and everyone relaxed and had a wonderful start to our touring holiday in B.C. The use of the private beach and access to the lake gave us hours and hours of relaxation and fun especially for our eleven year old grandson. The owners of this property were the ideal hosts and we cannot thank them enough for making our stay here the more memorable. We long to go back."

  • Great fun

"My wife and I had a great time. The location in the Village was very handy to services and ski lift access. For 2 people, the size of condo is a perfect fit and quite comfortable. The underground parking is a plus in case of snowy weather but unfortunately for us no snow that week. The communal hot tub was clean and it was nice to be outside however the temp was very hot and more than 10 minutes was painful. All said we would definitly book this property again. It would be nice to try a summer stay."

  • Ski in, ski out

"This is the best location for skiing in and out, and it is a comfy, cozy downstairs unit. The kitchen had everything we needed, the two murphy beds in the billiards room were fun for our two boys, and it was easy to forget we were not at our own home. I loved the traditional Victorian decor, because some rental houses we have stayed at are so spartan they were more like a Motel 6 than a house. 8 would be a stretch for one bathroom, but for the 4 of us it worked out just fine. At some Silver Star houses we have had to bring our own salt & pepper, paper towels, and tissue, but this unit had everything. I would absolutely stay here again."

  • Beautiful, quiet setting

"My husband, son, and I stayed here for four nights in the fall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rental unit is on the bottom floor of the owner's home, and it has a private entrance. We met the owner when we arrived; she showed us the property, and then we had complete privacy for our stay. There is a designated parking spot for visitors near the entrance to the property. The property is located next to a vineyard, and we were able to walk through a gate to a path that ran along the rows of vines. Because we visited in early November, we were able to see the fall colors in the vineyard and in the town. The location was peaceful and quiet, and the view from the rental was gorgeous. There is a pool, but, as expected, it was covered for the winter. We could have used the hot tub, and there is outdoor seating near the pool with a panoramic view of the lake. The rental is completely furnished with everything necessary for either a long-term or short-term stay. It is spacious and comfortable. There is a fully-stocked kitchen with a full-sized fridge, oven, and dishwasher. Though we didn't use them, the washer and dryer are available. There are two bedrooms, with comfortable beds. There are groceries nearby, and the vineyard next door has a tasting room and wine shop (and fantastic Gewurztraminer!). We felt that we had the best of both worlds: a quick drive to the downtown area with the peace and quiet of the hillsides on the other side of the lake. We would love to visit Kelowna again, and we would definitely stay here."
