  • Returned For Second Time

"The perfect get away. The High Chapparal covers everything most of us are looking for...a beautiful view of grasslands, forest and mountains. No light or noise pollution - just a peaceful, relaxing setting. The guest house is well-appointed (we enjoy barbequing on the deck), reading in our private sitting room (we even turned on the fireplace for ambiance). The special welcome from our hosts was again much appreciated. Highly recommended for a couple's getaway or to spend time with special friends who also have their own private suite to retire to. It is less than 10 minutes to great wineries and we've enjoyed lunch at both Tinhorn Creek and Hester Creek."

  • A Wonderful family vacation year after year

"This place is becoming a yearly tradition for my family and I because it is such a great place to relax and enjoy BC summer. The house and amenities are top notch, everything is spotless and so comfortable. We have two small children; 1 and 4 and they play in the pool all day or explore the gorgeous yard front and back. The location is amazing- perched on the top of a hill overlooking orchards and grape vines and so quiet and peaceful. You are also minutes from 15-20 different wineries with exceptional wines and tasting facilities. It's a great place to share with another family or come on your own! I wish we could rent it all summer ling. See you next year Jon."

  • Splendid

"We stayed 4 nights at Absolutely Suite. The accommodation is very comfortable and felt like home away from home. Location is convenient for visiting vineyards and exploring the area. The hosts made us feel very welcome. We would return and recommend to others."

  • Relaxing, private home from home

"Travelling with two small dogs, we often have trouble finding places that work for us and our pets and so we initially booked only three nights at Sonora Pines. However once we arrived and found a peaceful guest house with beautiful views and a great fully enclosed wrap around deck perfect for the dogs, and with every detail taken care of, we quickly decided to stay for seven nights. Breakfast items, coffee, tea, cheese and crackers and bottles of their own wine were there to greet us. After a long drive it was nice not to have to rush straight off to the grocery store. With a spacious deck, BBQ and everything you could need to cook a three course meal in the kitchen, we spent a lot of time just relaxing and enjoying the view. However it was just a few minutes drive to downtown Oliver restaurants, grocery store and all-important off-leash dog park. There are lots of wineries close by, including Hidden Chapel within walking distance. Rilla has thought of everything to make this place a home from home, and Rob makes a decent bottle of wine! We will definitely be back, and can highly recommend a stay here."
