Truly a home from home
"We visited Sonora Sage in Penticton in order to confirm my initial view from the website. We were looking for somewhere to stay for 4 months of the winter 2015 / 16 whilst I study at the Okanagan College Penticton Campus. I sent an initial VRBO query to Bryn the owner and she quickly got back to me with confirmation that she did longer term rentals and her rates. I had a few more questions which again she responded to very quickly and then at my request she agreed that we could do a 2 night stay (her normal minimum stay is 4 nights) so that we could feel comfortable with booking the house for the longer period. We arrived at 8:00pm and as soon as we walked in the door we had a wonderful feeling about the place and immediately texted Bryn to say that we had arrived and definitely wanted to book the house for the winter. The next 2 night stay just confirmed our first thoughts. The house was beautifully decorated, cozy and complete in every way. We are now very much looking forward to going back in December for our 4 month stay."

"Besides echoing the positive comments from previous reviewers, the upstair master bath was a delight. My husband had broken his collar bone the previous week and the walk-in shower and spacious master bath made it easy for him to maneuver. Two floors of living space and a spacious main layout provided plenty of private space along with a good floor plan for food prep and conversation. Best of all was the excellent view from the dining room table while we watched each evening's rain cascade onto the deck. The fog and clouds playing on the mountains were a beautifully entertaining scene. But next visit we anticipate 3 days' sunshine -- the norm for this area. Didn't stop our enjoyment of the house, the grill, nor the Naramata bench wineries and the superlative service and wine education we experienced."

"We stayed over Canada Day and we're so glad we did! The best part is having the lake a stone's throw away. Our group included young babies, and they loved dipping their toes in the lake while the adults lazed around on floaties. We couldn't have asked for a better location!
The home itself features everything you would need. Our group loved the renovated kitchen as it made it easy to have several people prep and cook at the same time. Also, the A/C in the house made our stay very comfortable since it was a scorching 38 degrees outside! We all commented on how it was more comfortable staying here than sleeping in our non-A/C homes. Would highly recommend this place!"

"What a great house, location and hosts! First off, our sales members were thrilled to find a place that could actually provide us each with our own bedroom. The other aspects of the house, such as a massive modern kitchen with all the cooking equipment a group like ours could need, a games room, library, entertainment room, new hot tub, soft grassy lawn, and an amazing private beach, left us with absolutely no wants during our stay.
I, Myself started each morning with a peaceful kayak around the little island, where I watched some of the many eagles perched in their favourite tree along with other various wild life including a beaver that visited us on the beach one day. As no motor boats are allowed on this lake the waters were always calm and serene, and as they are nice and shallow anyone with kids would have complete peace of mind. Most of the other team started their mornings with fresh coffee on the beach beside the fire pit we had sat around the night before.. each to their own but we all LOVED our time here.
Thank you so much for having our group,
