  • Fantastic Spot

"My daughter and I used the Yellow House as a base of operations for a week's mountain biking in the Okanagan. Some friends joined us for 3 nights. This is an excellent place to stay. The house is large and well cared for. Nicely equipped (and large) kitchen made cooking meals easy - and I particularly enjoy it when staples such as spices, salt and pepper and sauces have been allowed to accumulate so you're not running off to the grocery for all the little things you've forgotten. There's even a large BBQ on the deck, and they made sure to supply extra propane. The bedrooms are nice, and there's lots of linens as well as towels etc for the bathrooms, as well as soap for the washer and dryer. In the kitchen they supply ample coffee filters, garbage bags, dishwasher detergent etc. - again, no need to be running to the store. The double garage has lots of space for vehicles or storage of equipment like bikes. Particularly pleasant was the covered back deck (off the dining room). On the couple of mornings with some rain, it was nice to sit outside under cover with morning coffee, and it was always a pleasant place to sit during the day to watch the various types of birds congregate, and to listen to the crickets at night. The back yard is a graveled desert landscaping which made cleaning up after the dogs very easy. The house is a little bit south of Penticton on Skaha Lake, so its a very short drive to get to shopping, downtown and the highway. A very pleasant surprise was the Skaha Bluffs Park just to the south. This is a climbing area, but was also a lovely spot to give the dogs their walks. I look forward to getting back to explore the bike trails some more."

  • Stunning. Perfect. Luxourious Oasis.

"We rented this gem for the Challenge week. It comfortably accommodated our large family of 6 and grandparents.... with space to spare. It also enabled us to entertain friends and family also in town for the big week. A well stocked kitchen of appliances ( large and small), pots, pans and spices for the forgetful. Fantastic layout so that guests were not "on top" of each other. Beds were super comfortable with beautiful linens and tasteful decor. It was the home I wish I lived in all year long! The hardest part was leaving the home for even a moment as it was a resort like none other in Penticton. We stayed in the pool and lounged in the hot tub. All the time enjoying the tranquility of Penticton- coveting our family time and soaking up the incredible view. Thank you to Rita and Gerry our incredible thoughtful and extremely organized hosts. This was our most favourite holiday ever and we learned a lot for our own vacation rentals. We hope to come back!"

  • Great Vacation

"Beautiful property and very accommodating owners. We had a great family vacation and it held our family of 7 and 2 toddlers very comfortably. we had intended on going out to restaurants for dinners but ended up cooking and having all our meals at the house as the place lends itself to cooking great meals and it's hard to leave the pool. What would have made it perfect was if it was right on the lake but the view makes up for that."
