  • Idyllic in every way...

"We are two couples, best friends, who have just spent four wonderful nights in the Guest House at Big Horn Ridge. The location is of course ideal as a base for visiting the Central and South Okanagan Wineries. The Guest House is beautifully appointed, and lovingly and meticulously maintained, and we had a splendid time. To give an idea of the welcome offered by Roger and Carla, I provide the following little anecdote: upon arriving back at the Guest House from a day of Naramata wine touring, on what was exactly my 70th birthday, we were greeted by Carla who said, "There's been a delivery, and it's perishable." It turned out that a dear friend, from another province, had called and asked Carla (whom we hadn't even met yet) whether there was a place nearby that could put together a gift basket, comprising fruit, cheese, crackers, etc. There being no such business nearby, dear Carla took it upon herself to scout around the area, and created a most wonderful collection of goodies, topped off by a 70th birthday helium-filled balloon. This was truly above and beyond the call, and I was touched beyond words. We'll definitely be back!"

  • Amazing little cottage close to beaches - 4th year back!

"Our family has rented the cottage for the past four years, and we always enjoy this little piece of paradise. The neighbourhood is very quiet, yet close to so many amentities. We enjoyed going for walks and bike rides right from the cottage, as well as frequent trips to Rotary Beach a short drive away. There are nice little shops in Summerland, and a quick 15 minute drive to Penticton if you are looking for something different. Don't miss: Rotary Beach for Kids The Beanery Coffee house (great coffee and cheese buns) Dirty Laundry Vinyards Summerland Sweets Silk Scarf Vinyard Breakfast at Santorini's Dinner at Zia's So much to see and do! Highly reccomended."

  • Amazing!!!!

"There was a mix up (miscommunication) with the arrival dates, so the beginning of our trip was less than relaxing. However, Dawn to the rescue!!!! She quickly figured out our miscommunication, and had the cottage ready for us in minutes. I was amazed at how the miscommunication was handled, extremely professional and friendly. I would stay there again and again! Beautiful place. Great views. Quiet. Cozy. Dawn had towels out for us, plates, utensils. All we brought was our own food. The views are breath taking and it's dead quiet out there. It is a slight drive from the main road, so if you are looking to stay more central, this location is about a 15-20 min drive into the valley. Well worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Made great memories at a beautiful spot. Thank you Dawn!!!!!!!!"
